Beautiful city with friendly faces at every turn of the corner. Would be really useful to have some basic use of the turkish language.
- Take extra caution when taking the taxi. always go for metered-taxi. Even in metered-taxi, my friend has encountered a driver who can manipulates the frequency of the rate increase.
Istanbul is a great place to begin looking at European history. There are so many historical landmarks it is not possible to list them.
beautiful place to be in November when the weather is still mild, the various attractions act as back drop to a pleasant stay.
Having stayed less than 24 hours in Istanbul due to flight delay, I think I can only provide very glimpse impression.

The Old City of Constantinople did not disappoint me. Always admire their history through Roman times, the Byzantines and the Ottoman empire.
One of the most beautiful cities of the world. Istanbul has a little for everyone. The food was amazing, so is the shopping, culture and history.
Istanbul has an attraction all of it's own that most people will find interesting & enjoyable, but if you prefer the quiet life don't go and head to the country instead.
Istanbul is a modern city with great public transport like trams and metro. It is also full of monuments of the past, interesting history and fabulous architecture.
Great place to explore, plenty of historical places to visit. Many choices to shop. Beautiful culture and scenery to enjoy.

What an interesting place where east meets west in culture. A stunning g place for every nationality to mix with each other.
The city is good but here, very rare anyone can speak or understand English, so the big question was how to communicate.
Easy to go around this city. Metro is safe and if you spend more than 1 day, better buy 1 ticket. Even if you are more than 1 person, just use 1 ticket.
An amazing place, a real mixture of history and contemporary life. The centre around Sultanahmet has sufficient historic sites to keep you busy for at least three days and the Prince's Islands provide a great opportunity for a day trip or longer to enjoy a break at the beach.
I like everything about Istanbul. Very fascinating city. It's amazing travelling within Europe and Asia just by crossing a bridge or by ferry.
I love Istanbul. As a seasoned traveler, I have seen many other cities for comparison and have found Istanbul to be extraordinarily beautiful, clean, walkable (in the old city) and easy to travel with public transportation to most tourist attractions and many restaurants.
Fun shopping, wonderful art and archaeological museums, amazing clubs and bars, gorgeous young ladies.
Istanbul is like an outdoor museum. To go into detail have to go in the historic building such as Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia.
I don't want to waste your time with long and poetic sentences.First people are very friendly in Istambul, especially in Islands near to city ("Boyuk ada", "Heybeli ada").
