"Distant Relatives is everything a traveller can wish for. The hostel is beautifully located, quiet and wild at once. It’s truly a place where people of all kinds come together; I haven’t experienced such a strong community feeling anywhere else. The place is absolutely clean and the kitchen is one of the finest in the whole area. There are tons of chill out areas in and around the hostel but if you’re up for a drink or other fun stuff there is always somebody to hang out with. The beach is only a few minutes away, which allows for late night swims to experience the amazing bioluminism. The staff is friendly and helpful, and also offer activities (sunset dhow, snorkelling etc.). The bar is usually fullest on Fridays with beer bong and pizza, and the DR team definitely knows how to throw a good party. What’s not to like?"
