KOH JUM LODGE
Koh Jum / Koh Pu,Koh Jum / Koh Pu (Krabi) - View on map
"A truly remarkable resort. From our very first sight of the lodge from the long boat coming in we knew this would be a special few days. We were only due to stay here 1 night as we thought it would be just another thai island, how wrong we were. We ended up there for 3 and would have been longer if not for our next hotel been booked. Everything thing from the traditional Thai style lodges to the white sand beaches and friendly staff were perfect. I’d recommend this 100% and stay for as long as possible because once you leave everything else will always be that little bit disappointing. 10/10"

Koh Jum Beach Villas
Koh Jum / Koh Pu,Koh Jum / Koh Pu (Krabi) - View on map
"We were met my Ta who immediately made us feel at home. The villa itself was amazing - four poster bed, outdoor shower, private pool on the beach. I was very impressed with the Eco-friendly commitment by the resort owners and attention to detail. Koh Jum itself is untouched paradise with friendly locals (and not-so-friendly monkeys). I hope it doesn't become over-run like the rest of the neighbouring Islands. Overall a great experience - I would love to return one day!"

Koh Jum Freedom Resort

"Had an amazing stay at Freedom Hut! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend staying here if you are looking for an adventurous, fun getaway. The rooms are HUTS so if you are not OK with being in the wilderness I would not recommend staying here. Island is not very populated so if you are looking for a place with a lively night life Koh Jum is not the place for you. Stopped here for 2 nights while Island hopping and was extremely pleased. Explored Koh Jum by moped during the day. Absolutely stunning scenery. Koh Jum Freedom Hut bar & restaurant is something out of a dream. Island music, lights in the trees, and delicious margaritas and food. Would absolutely return. "

Koh Jum Resort
Koh Jum / Koh Pu,Koh Jum / Koh Pu (Krabi) - View on map
"I loved my time at the Koh Jum Resort. I spent 5 days in the peace there. It is very remote and there really isn't much to do but walk up and down the beach, hike, eat or sleep. It is right on the coast and the hotel Longtail must come to get you from the ferry boat since there is no dock. This can be very scary and a bit dangerous so please caution and carry light luggage. I stayed in a bamboo bungalow with an ocean view (most of the bamboo's do) and it was luxurious but rustic at the same time. The bed was super comfortable (rare in Thailand), the sheets were thick and soft and it had a romantic, but very necessary mosquito net. (Bring lots of insect repellant) The bathroom was great to with a western toilet and a shower but with no hot water. There is a nice fan in the room and electricity (no TV). If you have the money, I would recommend booking a Teak Bungalow as they are gorgeous and the floors are solid and flat unlike the bamboo bungalows which are made out of bamboo rods. I was very relaxed when I left Koh Jum and I look forward to being able to go back again sometime. This would be an amazing honeymoon retreat. Did I mention that the staff is amazing? They are so great, I was really sad to leave them."

Koh Jum Ocean Beach Resort
Koh Jum / Koh Pu,Koh Jum / Koh Pu (Krabi) - View on map
"The hillside bungalow we stayed in was excellent value and exceeded our expectations; decent sized bed with best mosquito net we have come across, the room was cleaned and fresh towels provided every day (amazing for a budget room), lovely surroundings, friendly staff, good restaurant. Would definitely recommend. In fact Koh Jum was our favourite island that we visited and we are already planning a return trip! For a great place to watch the sunset try the bar at Oonlee (the raised white building at the end of the beach) - great music and comfy chairs - or the small shack on Magic Beach. "

Traveler impressions of Koh Jum / Koh Pu (Krabi)

More about Koh Jum / Koh Pu (Krabi)

This small island near Koh Lanta is divided into two parts, one side of the island being called Koh Jum while the other is known as Koh Phu. Because of its proximity to Krabi and the other islands in this archipelago, it’s a great destination for travelers that want to stay close to the beach but want to get away from the loud parties and seemingly endless nightlife of the bigger islands.

Tham Phra Nang Nai, or Diamond Cave as it’s more commonly known, is a very popular destination among most tourists to Krabi and the surrounding areas. The large cave system is one of the most beautiful in the country, featuring illuminated caverns of stunning rock formations and waterfalls. The colors within this cave are some of the most unique and visually impressive.

Extreme sports enthusiasts and adventure seekers will almost certainly make their way to Sa Phra Nang, where a hike through the lush jungle eventually leads to a cliff with dramatic views of the sea and green-toped peaks of the area. This area is not for the light hikers, nor is it suitable for anyone who has issues with balance or vertigo. But it’s a very popular activity for serious hikers.

There’s a lot more to see and do in Koh Jum, and the best way to discover what else this city has to offer in terms of attractions, landmarks, and hotels is by exploring the interactive map on this page.
