Llandudno hotels & places to stay

I come to Llandudno and stayed at the Grand several times last year. As a single traveller I usually meet several people to talk to, especially in the dining room and like to spend my evenings either in the quiet room with my iPad or watching the entertainment downstairs. This is better than staying in my room all evening when in a hotel w itch an empty lounge.

Position is great although parking at that end of Llandudno is difficult and you do tend to have to park at the other end of town so it's a bit of a walk with your bags. Breakfast was good. It was hot and fresh although the quorn sausage is probably a better option than the pork sausage as it's the cheap ones. The scrambled egg was oddly very white but tasted ok. It certainly wasn't the lovely soft proper scrambled egg I would have liked. The staff were lovely. The room was fine. A little old fashioned but it was warm and the bed was lovely and comfy. The only real downside is breakfast is served between 8 and 9 so no lie ins!!

An extraordinary old fashioned beach probably menace area, a holiday resort for the elderly. The hotel is right on the beach. Rooms are old fashioned too,but, clean, no internet.

You get what you pay for. Wish they provided a hair dryer. There were three of us and they kindly set up a second bed but left only two bath towels. There were hairs and dust on the edge of the floor behind the bathroom door. The front desk person hides in the back until you ring for help.

This hotel has been refurbed extremely well, its clean , comfortable, lovely location, nice food and the staff are kind, friendly and welcoming. Have stayed in many hotels in llandudno over the last 25 years and this is one i would stay in again and recommend to others.

Excellent,great location for buses to visit other parts of this beautiful country.The churches in Llandudno had concerts in the evening £6 entrance to hear amazing singing by Male and female choirs and not forgetting world famous Welsh Male Voice Choir an absalute must.Would recommend this Hotel and would stay again.

I booked this hotel on line.so didn't know what to expect.I did read the reviews before I went.some were mixed comments.I found it very good the staff was pleasant.and accommodating.I got the room on the 3rd floor,and it overlooked the car park,and small. I upgraded to a sea view.definetly worth the extra £8.00.and i loved the Victorian feel of the hotel.I would Stay at this hotel again.

Initially I was shock when I found out that there are no lift in the building. Only after that I found out from the owner that it is a very old building with more than 200 years of history and it is build on sand and will not be stable for the building structure to have the lift build within the building. Fortunately the owner help me to carry my luggage up and down the stairs. Thanks to him. And I were very fortunately to be upgraded from a single room to double room as well. I would say that they are very good in maintaining the room, it is very clean and bright in the sunny summer. I really love the details they put in the room. And the pictures on the website is very honest, it is the same in the room. Very pleasant 2 nights stay here.

My son and I had a great stay here. Fantastic price as we booked during the Christmas ‘sale’ time. We had a sea view room, which to be honest was worth paying the extra few pound for. Our room was spacious and beds very comfortable. The only slight negative was the power of the shower- having said that this is usually a complaint of most of the old Victorian hotels along the front. The shops are on the road behind the hotel; Llandudno centre shops to the right, retail parks to the left so an ideal position for shoppers. The car park is tight but we did get a space arriving around 7pm. I would advise anyone to use google maps or similar to look where the car park entrance is as it could easily be missed. Also at this time there is no sign as they have been having work done to it. Friendly staff, great stay.

Nicely located, comfortable guest house with proprietors eager to please and very welcoming. Lovely breakfasts with plenty of choice from continental to cooked with a variety of choices. We are to book again in October.

The hotel has all the essentials and seems to be in the process of upgrading. The staff were all friendly and made the effort to accommodate specific dietary needs. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel was within a few minutes walk of the beach and promenade, being on the main town street. There were many excellent restaurants and cafes nearby. My hotel room had an excellent view of the mountains to the rear with views of the cable car. I would definitely stay there again.

I really enjoyed my time here in this place. A very nice place for relaxing. If u wanted to have quiet or recovering (just like me after did the half marathon) this is a good place to stay. Also, nice breakfast served each morning. Highly recommended place!

Book direct with the hotel as this way for the same cost you will have breakfast included. We booked through booking.com and had to add £7.50 per person daily for breakfast. Staff were great and location was fantastic. The hotels restaurant and eatery were both well worth a visit, food was always fresh and tasty.

Wow , what a lovely guest house, very clean, owners very friendly rooms were gorgeous and rooms were very comfortable. Breakfasts were fantastic, couldn't fault them at all, fills you up for the day, will stay there again x

Llandudno Bay Hotel is a brilliant place to stay, the staff were fantastic, the facilities and cleanliness was outstanding, just one niggle (minor one) there was no visitor guide book in our room regarding hotel rules, otherwise one word excellent

Very good location, close to shopping and restaurant and tourist attraction, room very clean and modern, good cook breakfast, free parking, will go back again

Lovely hotel, very helpful friendly people great location. We had a lovely room with a massive comfy bed. Will definitely stay there again.

Do not book here if you want a good sleep. We were woken up several times due to loud door banging from various surrounding rooms. Can't blame the other customers...hotel needs to address this issue.

A good experience and would visit again For new operators excellent I can see by the quality finish in parts that as the older rooms are refurbed it will be a gem of a find

Hosts were very friendly and the rooms felt homely. However, it is a slight distance to the town area and seaside. Parking is available, but along the streets only. Pleasant and unique experience.

So when I booked this B&B it looked exactly what I was looking for and although in some ways it didn't disappoint in other ways there are things that I wish was different and feedback I feel would help the owners move forward in their new venture. Firstly I paid extra for seaview and yes we got this but on the basis that you were either lying down or kneeling which kind of took some of the enjoyment out of the experience. Secondly WIFI is advertised as in all rooms and throughout the hotel....this was not the case the hub did not reach the "attic" that we were staying in...we were given a new password to try for a hub on the middle landing however neither mine or my husbands devices would connect to it so we spent our time with no internet...now I kno we were on holiday but it's the 21st century I can't cope without being able to connect to social media for hours on end (joke) seriously I do like to be able to do a bit of surfing the internet of any evening while I chill out before bed...so would recommend getting a hub on all floors so nobody else is disappointed. Thirdly the water went off mid shower when my husband was washing his hair thankfully this only lasted approx 5 mins when he could rinse himself off it was a bit of a what we going to do moment. Finally it is breakfast this was only available 8am to 9am which even for Llandudno is early the B&B didn't seem to have a big number of older people who may get up that early but personally on a Sunday or on a day off I would mind the option of breakfast open until at least 10am especially when you are paying for it in the cost of your stay. So safe to stay we didn't make breakfast on either of the mornings. Now that I feel I have been a bit negative (although they are points that are easy to put in place) I need to tell you the positives of staying here.... The owners - sorry can't remember their names but I know they had only taken over approx 14 weeks ago they were very welcoming, friendly and chatty whe

The staff were fairly friendly and accommodating, however the place seemed a little tired and pride in appearance not great e.g. there was what I assume was a broken childs scooter simply left near the steps of the hotel for the duration of our stay, some discarded drinks containers etc. The rooms were ok, and from what I could see very individual which can be nice. I had a huge bathroom with Jacuzzi bath, whereas my colleague had a shower with sparkly floor tiles! - I guess quaint is the word...maybe! However the downside was that several things were broken in my room. broken handles for the windows, toilet seat not fixed down properly so it moved about when you sat on it! Taps were difficult to control as was the temperature coming out. Had to stand in bath and hold shower head for shower. In summary this hotel is probably very nice for a family visit, but no good for business in my opinion.
