The hotel and the room is very good. The location is just next to the Mont. St. Salvarto and the train station of Lugano Paradiso, 3 mins walk to the Lugano lake and 15 mins to the old town. The staff there were very friendly and they can speak several languages. My room has a balcony facing the mountain, quite and very comfortable.

This my 3rd time staying here.I ve always wanted to try all the hotels in lugano but just couldnt resist comin back here. Staff are so friendly n cheerful ,generous as they offer free minibar,chocolates here n there. Breakfast wth freshly squeeze orange or carrot juice n so much choices frm starter to dessert. Location are in the city wth many restaurants and 5 minutes walk to the lake.

We had a nice stay in Lugano The hotel was fine for the summe warm fall. It's not cozy. The manager was not friendly and the friendly and kind staff are overworked and under paid.

We had a very quiet room, although the hotel is located near local tram station. Check-in and check-out was very quick and staff were very obliging. Room was more spacious than expected, and we had a nice view to the mountains. There is a WiFi in the room. For the breakfast there was something for everyone's taste. It has a great location, lake of Lugano is near, as are sweet souvenirs shops and restaurants with Italian food. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and all the others who plan to visit the city of Lugano.

Our first time in Lugano and we stayed at IBis budget. The room can be quite small but for the price it was ok. Enough for 3 adults. There were plenty of amenities such as restaurants and grocery store nearby. Overall satisfied with our stay.

Everything you'd expect from a 5 star hotel. However, be careful of the complimentary 30min free wifi. I was charged a daily rate for not disconnecting once I was finished. Subsequently I was even charged double! Courtesy shuttle to lugano train station and city centre is a bonus tho.

We stayed one night. It is a very pleasant hotel in the middle of Lugano. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was strange in that one woman seemed to do most things from showing us to our room to helping with breakfast. But it wasn't a problem. Also, the front desk was not 24 hours, but this didn't cause a problem as they were available when needed. The breakfast was very nice with fresh yogurt, breads and fruit. It is in the middle of a walking street so you are in the midst of most restaurants and very close to a funicular which you can get from the train station. It would take you almost to the front door from the station.

The staff was great, hotel is nice but it is in need of a renovation. Specially the room that has a decor and furniture like it got stuck in the 90's. Breakfast was great and we had a pleasant stay. Lugano is expensive so the hotel is fairly priced. I would recommend this hotel unless you only stay at modern hotels with minimalist designs.

Hotel was clean and new, value for money. There is a gym and a small pool for a quick work out. One problem was the slope leading up the the old Lugano paradiso train station. It was steep and the train station does not have any elevator or escalator. Breakfast is included in price and is 16 chf per pax. There was a decent spread of food. If visitors are not keen on the hotel breakfast, there are ample eateries within 1 min walk from the hotel for breakfast or brunch.

We go there for honeymoon. Big and comfortable room with excellent sea view. Nice staff. Need to take bus from train station. Actually can walk from Lugano Paradiso station ~5mins. Highly recommended this hotel in such price

The hotel is very good and centrally located. it has is own parking space so good for travellers arriving by car! It is close to the bus station and shopping aera! Walking distance to the piazza and lake! Rooms are quite ok, comfortable and clean! At least for one night or two it is ok! Practical! Bathroom clean but not for everyone... plastic box! however clean! Breakfast it is very ok! Bread, Flakes etc! ver good!

Pro: the owner is adorable - she’s so kind and accommodating. You definitely feel at home immediately. The places is cutely decorated with free water, tea and coffee available at all times (which is rare for Europe). Breakfast was great too! Cons: For me personally, none. I loved that the place was on top of the mountain about 20 min away from town. The views were breathtaking and you get a free bus pass to town. All in all, this place was my favorite in Switzerland!

The hosts at Casa Nico were very quick to respond to requests and to confirm details in English. We had a lovely room with a view to the East, with a lovely sunset and sunrise. The room was sparkling clean, and while simply furnished, it was very comfortable. The bed seemed to be new. The shared washroom was large and also very clean. The accommodation is about a 25 minute walk up the hill from the train station. However, there is a regular bus service most of the way. I recommend the hosts post details of the appropriate bus numbers and the name of the bus stop. This was a happy choice of accommodation, with excellent value for money.

The location is close to the railway station, about 15 minutes walking distance. When I first arrived, the room was not ready, the front desk lady asked me to come back after 3pm. It doesn't feel very good cause it's not my problem that the room not being ready. But when I come back later, I was upgraded to a bigger suite:-) Hope the hotel staff could be kinder and more patient to the customer, the hotel view is quite nice!

Superb hotel , stunning location and the most outstanding service I have experienced from a stunning small boutique luxury hotel ! This hotel is elegance and class ! Beautiful gardens stunning artwork and tapestries ! Felt like I was experiencing a touch of royalty in this magnificent hotel. Breakfast on the terrace is to die for ! Waiters are amazing and don’t miss a thing !! A highlight of our European trip ! The lakeside area is a must and really enjoyable to swim in Lake Lugano and paddle the kayaks around on a stunning lake ! Highly recommend this hotel !

The hotel is easy to reach from the railway station. From the hotel, it is a 10 min walk to the old town and 10 min to to mountain San Salvatore on the other side. The receptionist was very friendly and speaking many languages. We had a nice room with cosy beds with balcony. It was all clean and good I would choose this hotel again, the value for money is great in my opinion.

Overall very enjoyable with fast internet easy access to supermarket and casino. Great Lake view. Easy access to public transport. Big room. Ambrella provided. Shuttle to train station. It is very difficult writing 50 characters on one hotel. This is the main reason I don't like writing reviews.

Beautiful hotel, the room was very clean and the garden and pool were awsome. I loved to stay there for a couple of days. It‘s a bit pricy but worth the money.

This hotel is not just off the main highway as one might think looking at the website map, it is 6 mm up a winding mountain road, ending in a cute old village with narrow streets. You can not locate this hotel by just making your reservation ... your reservation conformation explains you must check in at another related hotel located on the property. I was upgraded from the budget Calina, which probably had a shared bath, to the main historic building, and a room that was renovated and with a modern clean bathroom, and no TV. Good radio and wifi. Interesting old building, reading room, etc. Parkong available. Expensive food in the area and more expensive wines. Nice hotel.

We have booked this hotel to participate at a birthday party in Morcote. The room was great with lake view. It was clean and the people very friendly. The breakfast was served at the table again with lake-view and the breadbasket served by the kitchen. I can only recommend this place.

First of all our main criteria for schoosing hotel was a clean and tidy hotel. I must say that I was satisfied! Staff was helpful and polite !!! Thank you for warm welcome, we will visit again.!!!

The view on Lugano is simply amazing, the staff is very attentive and polite. The rooms are nice, the bathroom is modern, the bed is confortable. There is hotel parking in front of the hotel. Very very nice place.
