The place is brand new so that takes care of many people's complaints about dated accommodation. Room size was just large enough to be decent, so no complaints there. Great shower. Parking lot is free. The adjoining Bowling Club was great. The Chinese kitchen also does T bone steak. The place is quite large with plenty of tables. There's Pokies and a bar. So that takes care of the facilities question. The only negative was that December is very hot during the days and arriving at around 4pm found the air con struggling so badly it was worthless, so we opened The front and rear doors to get air. The nights were very comfortable and that's when the air con coped. Strong recommendation from me for this place.

Friendly welcoming staff. I mentioned about being gluten free at check in, at the start of breakfast they came and asked me about the gluten free option before cooking our breakfast. Breakfast was hot and delicious. Rooms were very clean, beds comfy and great shower! Great location which is just a stroll into town or to a local pub for dinner. In the room they have a print out of a guide for tv channels, things to do and also about Maclean. Pool looked lovely although we didn't have a swim. Fantastic little Motel!!

I Didn't know anything about "Ashby" but this place was beautiful!. Left the curtains that overlooked the balcony and Clarence river open to let the sun come through in the morning. It was absolutely gorgeous!. The male host was incredibly accomodating and absolutely lovely!. They have the house sectioned off so you and the other guest have your own little semi dining area with tea and coffee facilities - an actual coffee machine with pods!. They also have a large collection of movies that you can watch in your own room. Breakfast was good. Alot of attention is paid to the finer details.
