The Lalit New Delhi is a very classy hotel and the staff have been well trained and are extremely responsive to its guests. I would not hesitate to book here again when I am next in New Delhi and would recommend this establishment without reservation to anyone desiring to stay in a hotel with more than a touch of class. It would be remiss of me not to give a special ...

everything you would expect of a shangri la. not cheap but in new delhi definitely worth the price to escape the chaos and hassles that this city has to offer. the staff are excellent and could not have been more helpful. the gym facilities at this hotel are first class. i cannot comment on the pool as it was closed for renovations at the time. i stayed here for 4 days...

Delhi is more than intense so to ease yourself into the crowds of people, noise, pollution, animals, selling... this was a great shout. The hotel is clean, calm and peaceful. Staff are attentive when you want something but they do not push or pressure you to do or buy something you do not want. The restaurant food is a little bit pricey for India, (80 rupees for 1 ro...

Hotel is good and the staff also good nothing wrong with it but faraway from anything in New Delhi - costlier taxi rides to get anything... Breakfast could be improved no much choice... Definitely I won't go again not because hotel is bad but because of the distance Real Delhi and the hotel - definitely this might be a good place if you are in a transit

Pros: We were visiting Delhi for our visa appointment. This location was 5 minutes from the us consulate and they kept our luggage during our visa interview. This was great! Cons: The travel concierge proposed a very expensive cab ride(2600 inr) we just walked out and got a rickshaw for less than inr 1000 (from hotel to consulate and back and then to the airport) Ov...

The Leela Palace maintains it's number one status in New Delhi for a reason. From the time that you enter into the hotel, until you leave you are treated exquisitely. While there is much that has already been said about the hotel, I would like to mention just a few of my favorite things that the hotel offers. First: do take advantage of the pool. You are greeted there ...

We had a wonderful stay at the Lodhi. Was there with two children (10 & 8) - it's mainly geared to business travellers and adults, but they loved the immense rooms, the huge 50m pool and the individual plunge pools on each terrace. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the food excellent and in a good location on LodhinRoad close to central Delhi. Would certainly r...

This is the best hotel I stay in India during visiting New Delhi & Agra for for 6 day.The Manager in-charge Mr. Aditya is the most helpful staff in the hotel, not forget Mr Azeem too. Overall staff & the hotel facilities is the best..Thanks for the hospitality, I sure will stay at your hotel when visiting India in future..

I needed a hotel close to the airport for a trip to and from Varanasi, before flying home to Canada. The hotel is about 7or 8 km. From Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi - a prepaid taxi from the airport costs 250Rs, and in a regular taxi, they shouldn't charge more than 500Rs. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable and modern. The beds were comfortable and...

Pleasure to stay in this hotel. Modern, very clean, close to the shops, Food court, bars, restaurants, shopping malls and Kingdom of Dreams (a must see). Next door to lovely park with musical fountains. Very nice part of New Delhi, Gourgan. Pool was clean. Staff very helpful, breakfast had a very large choice to suit all. Internet access was good and internet room op...

My husband and I stayed at Hotel City Star for four nights after spending 12 days up in Leh. We were pleasantly surprised by how wonderful this hotel was. The first night we were in a room facing the busy road and it was very noisy but we requested a change of rooms the next morning and they were happy to give us a room in the back away from the road. The staff was in...

I have had my fair share of stays in India, country inn marriot in gurgaon, Radisson Blu new delhi paschim vihar, fairmont in Jaipur, trident in Udaipur, Ranbanka palace in Jodhpur, as well as attending a wedding in Trident Gurgaon, I would say that this one is up to "international" standards. Most of the hotels outside of Delhi, though ranked as a 5 star, do not have ...

For variety and taste, The Prime Balaji Deluxe offers the best breakfast among Paharganj hotels we've tried. I highly recommend booking the breakfast option; it will fill you up for a day of exploring Delhi and beyond. There's complimentary bottle of water and daily newspaper. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel is located in the busy New Delhi Railway Station a...

First time in India, wanted to stay closer to central New Delhi and paid more. Not sure if we made any use of it since walking in the streets are ?????. Could have visited India gate, Lotus temple etc from any where. Hotel it self is excellent, good food options, pool, gym etc etc. Good staff too.

If you can, the only area to stay in Delhi is Gurgaon and The Leela Ambiance Hotel is hard to beat. Located just 20 minutes from the airport, the hotel is truly one of the very best 5 star hotels you can get. On top of this the hotel is linked to the biggest shopping mall in India. My hotel of choice whenever i am in Delhi.

Hotel Grand Godwin is a rare find in New Delhi. I stayed at this hotel on 3 separate occasions in August when I travelled in and out of Delhi. The hotel provides free meet-and-pick up service at the airport (parking fee to be borne by guest though). The hotel failed to coordinate the service for me but it advised me to take a prepaid taxi to the hotel and reimbursed me...

This hotel is great! Clean, well maintained, lovely staff, beautiful and comfortable rooms, and very conveniently located near the airport. I wanted to check out the hotel for my solo stay on my return jo...

I stayed in 3 hotels in New Delhi and this was the best one (it was also cheaper than the others). The food is very good. The hotel is within easy walking distance of a metro station in a fairly safe area. The pool area is quite nice and relaxing. First time in New Delhi and I was pleased with the hotel. This was a spacious hotel with good facilities. Staff were very helpful and courteous. Room was comfortable and I liked the decor an feel of the room. My only negative is the restaurant was not very good and very expensive. I would recommend people to stay here but eat somewhere else.

The first room we were assigned smelled like cigarettes, the air conditioning wasn't blowing cool air, and it was tucked in a corner of the hotel where there was a very poor wifi signal. I asked for a different room and they obliged. We asked the man at the front desk if we could get a taxi to the airport at 3:00 AM. He said it would be no problem as long as we could p...

The rooms and toilets are great. I booked the 6 mixed bed but when I arrived, they placed me in the 4 mixed bed and it was great. They are observing the non AC between 10AM-10PM to save energy. The hostel is right next to the Delhi gate metro exit #3. The downside is that there are many pets inside the hostel getting around (dogs and cats), so it is not a good choice f...

The Hotel is part of a Group. I arrived 6 hours before check-in, and offered to check in at another Hotel nearby at an extra cost. Offered free transport there. Located in very small alleyway, off the main road. Safe to walk around, plenty of traffic, loud horns and noisy. But that is all over. Hotel was quiet. Helpful Staff. Nice freshly cooked Indian breakfast. Da...

Well, I have been in different locations/areas and hotels in Delhi, and this is different maybe It is not the best neighbourhood, is still a little dirty but it is Delhi. The metro is near you can walk, but take care at rush time, you can experiment bad moments. The breakfast also is good the hostel provide all the necessary; bread, cereal, milk etc. and finally it has...

Hotel Aerotech near IGI Airport, New Delhi, yes it's a very Guest Friendly Hotel. The Room Tariff is also compatible to any Class of Travelers. Food is Good. Room is comfortable. Location is also very good. Moreover the Staffs. They are ever ready to help the inmates at any time. I recommend this Hotel to all the Travelers to New Delhi.

"Yes Please" is a very central and very cheap hotel. The manager is awesome: So nice and very obliging. They sell also drinks and have water. We had the cheapest room, small but nice! We are backpackers and do not need any convenience. The hotel is a bit hidden, but after 5min we found it. Simply ask (friendly) some locals, they will help you. Our room was quite. If yo...

I had a good stay in this hotel for 3 days because of staff Mr. Muzamil Raza he is very honest and kind hearted person with good attitude and excellent customer service and a good human being with helpful nature. This place is a great base camp for anyone arriving in India which can be overwhelming. We enjoyed helping out with their local charity (a blind school) which they support. The manager was very helpful and gave us some great tips for arranging our tour of the country. If you want they can also arrange great trips for you as well if you need a helping hand. I hope we ...

I arrived to Delhi knowing no one and left knowing almost 20 people just in 4 days. The hostel management crew are amazing, they connect with residents as friends and help as much as they could. I love everything! The location, very easy to find! The cost, very affordable! The rooms are always cleaned! The staff and owners are VERY friendly and cute! I mean it. This is the place! Location is very good, it's in Paharganj. Few walk and you're in the New Delhi railway. And few walks opposite, you're in the Metro. This made my stay in India very nice! I want to go...

This place is quite close to the airport and I guess because it’s a new guest house all the facilities are new and clean and the staffs there are so friendly and even there are long term guests cook for everyone at the place all the time . I will definitely stay at this place again

We had a private room in Zostel Delhi Hostel and had a great stay! The location is good for getting around Delhi and really close to New Delhi station. The hostel was clean and modern with a really cool atmosphere, and being able to use the washing machine was a huge bonus! They also do a great value dinner on the rooftop. Really recommend this place!

The hostel is newly opened. It has new facilities and is very clean and comfortable. It is near select city walk shopping mall and also not far away from the metro. There is a nice kitchen and a young Nepal cook cooks very delicious food. The hosters are a very nice couple, I spent a entire month with them and they gave me a lot of help. They lent me books, gave me tra...

Very impressed. Inn's posters and design which is unique in India, and shows an Inn which caters to budget international travellers - travellers of international expectations. Very clean. Nice staff and nice place. Street rather dirty and lacks character and variety of the food vendors available in so many other cities but despite its surroundings it's nice once you get inside. Sadly the wifi sucked and we didn't have any hot water but the place was clean, room big and we only stayed one night to catch a flight. The hotel night guy was the best! We got ...

Cheapest I can find online for a solo like me. Small, but for the price I wouldn't grumble. Just to manage your expectation. Staff helped me troubleshoot and activate my sim card. Quite clean, but obviously you can't compare this to a 4 star hotel standard. I would say this is at most a 2 or 3 star hotel.

I really liked this hotel . When I got there I was a little bit shocked because of the place . So many people everywhere , but hey I was in India . The hotel is in a good area, close to Delhi train station 5 minutes walking and 15 minutes from the metro, you can always take a rickshaw for 30 rupees. The stuff was very nice , the manager who stays at nite actually gave ...

Very surprised with the quality. rooms were spacious, clean bright and everything worked! The price was far cheaper than anything I've stayed at in India for at least 5 years - although it is brand new and in the middle of a building site - but that's par for the course for Gurgoan. Staff were very friendly and efficient. The only downside was location. Taxi driver fr...

fairly typical hilton hotel....impeccably clean, tidy. average sized hotel rooms. friendly and helpful staff. reasonable gym. the biggest selling point of this hotel is that it is part of a large shopping complex which means that western shopping/food is close at hand...especially for those people that will find new delhi a bit of shock in terms of cleanliness, traffic...

Really good, central location and very helpful staff. An easy walk to the metro, and to the Bengali Market, for supplies - and an ATM that usually has some cash. Ate in room/restaurant a couple of nights, and the food was delicious. Still a bit of building work in progress, and quite near a railway line, so if it's perfect peace you're after . . . well, you should prob...

My purpose in New Delhi was to attend a Visa interview. I selected the nearest hotel (walking distance)to the Embassy. I stayed with my little daughter and wanted to have a security and comfort. I was happy everything was there what I look for in Hotel Diplomat.

Very good service from Hotel Jivitesh. Extremely welcoming and friendly staff. Very helpful. Rooms clean and nice comfortable stay. We had a domestic flight to mumbai after 4 days, so were able to store extra luggage at the hotel and collect this on return. Location of the hotel is very good, only 5-10 minute walk to the market/restaurants/snacks area and metro station...

I always stay at this hotel for a variety of reasons, its well connected to almost any part of Delhi by a metro that is just 10 steps away from the Hotel, the rooms are clean, the staff are like family, the breakfast spread is good considering that all kitchens were closed in New Delhi due to some fire issue all over the city.

My husband and I were looking for a nice hotel to stay in New Delhi near the airport and we found The Muse Sarovar which is located 10 min by taxi from the terminal. We came very late that day to the reception, in about 12 a.m, and the staff were waiting for us and welcomed us very nicely. The room was more then we expected, very big, clean sheets, the bed was fantasti...

We stayed in the hotel shortly after being opened in 2015. i guess we were the only guest in the complete hotel - as the AC in the reception was turned off and we could decide what we would like to have for breakfast (freshly made for us) The room was very clean and modern and the employees were very friendly. Unfortunately we/our taxi drivers (ola drivers) had diffi...

It was our last night in India and we thought we would splurge on a nice hotel. This was definitely worth it! It's a bit far from the main action as it is in west Delhi, but with an Uber driver, it was very easy to get anywhere so not much of an issue. The upside to staying here was that it was nice and quiet and in a safer area. I think this was a more posh area and ...

Would definitely like to stay here again. The hotel room is perfect. Bathroom too is well done. Thoughtful of them to even provide a good ipod speaker dock. Good value for money hotel in Gurgaon where hotel rooms are generally very expensive. Location though is not the best. If someone is attending a conference in Leela (like i was), then it makes sense to stay here ra...

Good place if you have work close to the area! Not much for a tourist and morning traffic to Delhi center difficult and congested Modest hotel great rate for the quality of service and accommodate . Breakfast Ok but not great but for the price excellent. Even for western tastes! Recommended for those who have business on that side of Delhi!

This hotel provide the best services that i had in Delhi. The staff are very friendly and helpful. However there are some setback as the wireless required to be request on daily basis which is very inconvenient. The plus point is the staff gladly will come to the room to pass the wireless password. Almost at the end of my stay the wireless password does not changed.

The Great Western Sky City Hotel, Gurgaon, was by far the best Hotel during our travels in India mainly due to the staff. Rooms were very clean, average size, with all the amenities. Breakfast had a good range of delicious cusine, and manage by a professional manager,( Parveen ), who went out of his way to appease you. During our stay we utilised the services...

We stayed at La Sagrita both at the beginning and end of our vacation in India. The hotel arranged for a cab to pick us up at 3 a.m. and late arrival was no problem. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful...

I stayed in this hotel for just a night. I have not tried the food there but rest is excellent. If in New Delhi again, this would be where I would definitely stay. The service is brilliant without being in your face. I could spend all day just wandering the corridors looking at the art work and taking in the oppulent decor. We arrived early and nothing was too much trouble, being invited to take a swim and breakfast so that they could make up our room early....

a wonderful resort to stay. I went there with my family which included my young daughter and it was a worth while stay. The rooms were quite huge with golf course view..The gardens, kids area were all quite amazing..perfect weekend getaway from delhi to relax . Thanx to agoda for getting me a descent rate especially on Christmas eve...

We were pleasantly surprised by Roseate house. Initially we were looking for accomodation around Aerocity but accidentally booked Roseate New Delhi. We were stayed there for 1 night but we were very happy with the service provided. The Staff were helpful and kind.

The hotel is one of the best I have stayed in. Although, it's location is on east of river Yamuna in Delhi, it is situated in newly developed area of Karkardooma and its rates are very competitive as compared to other 5 star hotels in Delhi. The hotel is neat and clean, staff is very polite and helpful, restaurants offer very good continental and Asian breakfast.

The New Delhi Airport Holiday Inn exceeded expectations. It's more of a 4+ star hotel with great amenities, beautiful rooms with good sound insulation. A big thumbs up for the fully stocked mini-fridge and snacks. The signature toiletries are generous and smell great. The best part was the buffet breakfast in the restaurant - perhaps the largest selection of break...

Pro: Aeocity is new area and safe. Food is wonderful. Must try: butter chicken. Services are good. They always welcome you and ask for feedback. Sizeable and well equiped gym room. As the taxi entered the hotel premises, the metropolitan New Delhi left behind and new experience of a probable India began to unfold. After the check-in procedure which was happily interluded with a com...

I am a frequent traveller to New Delhi and due to some bad reviews I never booked with Suryaa. My associate cajoled me into booking with Suryaa and it was a decision I will never regret. We did a bid on Agoda for a 5-star in New Delhi at 88$. Ended up paying 115$ with all taxes and surcharges. It's an amazing price for those large and comfy rooms. Bed and sheets were great, lots of bottles of water. Good location since you need taxis anyway. Two downsides: the breakfast is really average, trust me. All breads are bad by any European standard and coffee...

Surprising arrival: 3 hours to pass the immigration at the Delhi International Airport. The hotel driver thought we had miss our plane. Hotel of 5 Stars, maybe 4. Room comfortable over the pool place of all the wedding receptions so a little bit noisy. Breakfast they have to take care of the freshness of their products. Last Saturday no more bread, the cold cuts were b...

The building is good. Hotel is managed by Govt. of India employees, so we can expect certain lethargy. The food is disappointing. I was served stale food when ordered midnight and sufferred a stomach ache following day. So recommend you not to use the in room dining facility except for tea and bread. The hotel is in want of major renovation and could have been the best...
Traveler impressions of New Delhi and NCR
If you are in India, you will probably end up spending at least a few days in New Delhi. Mostly, it is horrible: a crowded mass of humanity suffering through a poorly planned city that does not have enough mass transit.
Suggest you really take the time to soak up the atmosphere and engage with the historical relevance of this place.
The Metro is a great way to get around, if you can find a good hotel nearby then use it. Tuk-tuk drivers are mercenary when you have finished all your shopping, needless to say they are only interested in their commission on what you have spent and not your stay.
I have been to Delhi many times and I would recomend anybody to come and explore New Delhi and NCR. There are many attractions to visit like Jantar Mantar, India Gate, Red Fort, Kutubminar, AksharDham to name a few.
Delhi is the National capital of India. It has several British and Mughal era monuments....and heritage sites.
I was really not there long enough to take day trips, I only used the hotel as a stop over base for returning to Australia.
New Delhi is much beautiful city than Mumbai. And it`s possible to go to Agra for viewing the Taj Mahar and back to New Delhi within the same day even if you use train.
Delhi is a city of markets, I like shopping here. The Palika Market in Connaught Place is very good for shopping, I can say good bargaining.
If you like culture or interesting historical places, this is a place to visit as there're so many of these to offer.
Delhi is surrouded by various ancient historical places and being the National capital city it has both old and new architecture to see.
New Delhi is really crowded city, its not really clean but its interesting to see about the culture and especially foods.
Delhi is a beautiful city with many historic sites, but with the same poverty and deplorable side found all throughout the country.
I have traveled to many parts of SE Asia, but this was my first trip to India. In comparison, I found it to be an assault on my senses.
i will return in New Delhi with my son and sister. I think that they have to see this beautiful and surprising great town.
this is a very nice part of Delhi - a lot cleaner and quieter than other areas that we have stayed in Delhi.
Overall we enjoyed our time in Delhi and spent 5 nights all up (probably a little long). We saw most of the major sights and recommend Jama Masjid, Qutub Minar and Humayun's Tomb the most.
Delhi is the worst city in India. Its the most untidy place ever. Even in the city there is a raw sewage you can find.
Everyone is trying to scam money out of you - I can deal with it but honestly it just gets old after a while.
Well Very heavy traffic. The Cabs drivers and owners take you for the ride. They commit fraud by taking you on long routes wasting time and money.
As a capital city of the country having great historical background, going around for sightseeing is an enjoyable experience.
Getting around Delhi can be difficult. The Metro is the cheapest way, but it is very crowded, difficult to get on and off, and few stations are located near the main attractions.
The major sites are interesting, but the pollution, infrastructure and hawkers make the city an horrible place.
For travelling conveyance, Metro Rail is best suited 6 AM to 11 PM. In the Day time Delhi Transport Buses Come II.
Gurgaon is suburb of capital City New Delhi very close International airport. Gurgaon has couple of malls for shopping.
Bargain as much as you can as they will put high price. At least try to bargain quarter of the price for sarees
There are very noce sight seeing such as Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Old Fort, Parliament building, Temples, India Gate and shopping centers
Great place for sight seeing and cultural events, its very useful if your driver is keen to tell you all about the things that are happening around at the time.
I was at the holiday for the night before the flight the next morning. So I did not look around the town much.
This place has wonderful, cheap food. Has the friendliest taxi drivers in the world who despite their kindness, use their horns a lot.
Delhi is a typical Indian "modern" town, with 12 milion inhabitants and 8 milion vehicles! traffic is amazing, cars and motorcicles going everywhere! lots of religious spots and temples, but zero organization.
New Delhi and NCR's best hotels with breakfast

I had a an excellent stay in Country Inn and Suites in Delhi. It has all the things I need and nearby to all necessities. The hotel has an excellent vegetarian cuisine and the spread is so varied. There are non-vegetarian choices to those who choose it. The ambiance is excellent. The location is great. It is one of the best five star hotels in New Delhi. The hotel is ...

I chose to stay at the Novotel (in preference to the nearby Radisson), as an Accor member, however it was not quite what I expected. The room was very nice, the internet was fast and the staff were very friendly. However there were a few small things that weren't so good. Like there was no free water in the room. That's the first time of 10 years of travelling in Ind...

I stayed in 3 hotels in New Delhi and this was the best one (it was also cheaper than the others). The food is very good. The hotel is within easy walking distance of a metro station in a fairly safe area. The pool area is quite nice and relaxing. I did have an intermittent problem with power in my room and I was moved to another room when one became available. Somet...

One of my favourite hotels in Delhi. What makes this an awesome hotel is purely due to the staff who are extremely eager to please the customers. They go an extra mile just to Make sure we are comfortable . Not only that, it has a very beautiful and comfortable room. I am almost got addicted to the bed. Definitely coming back to this awesome hotel

The Pride Plaza Hotel Aerocity Delhi was an excellent choice for us for our last nights stay in India. We needed a hotel close to the Airport , for our early morning flight back to Australia. Our room was very spacious, spotless and the shower, the best we have experienced whilst travelling in India . Breakfast was outstanding , dinner a little expensive but you hav...

Ibis at the Aero City in New Delhi Airport area is super convenient. With its good price, you have a clean and modern, newly-decorated room with ensuite toilet and shower. Bed is very comfortable and the room has all basic things you would need i.e. water, towel. Staff at the check in was efficient and polite. The best part is its location which is only 5 minutes away ...

I am a frequent traveler to Delhi and stay in Gurgaon at least once in a month. Optus Sarover is one of the best hotels in Gurgaon and the best is sector 29 area. Its just next to sector 29 market so there are many good restaurants nearby. The hotel has good restaurant, great room service, pool on the roof top is nice. The rooms are good size and clean. Overall its a g...

From the moment I arrived at 3:00 am to the day of departure 10 days later the management and staff went above and beyone to ensure my needs werre taken care of. As a solo traveller from Australia I could be a little overwhelmed by the traffic, noise, hectic pace of the Indian streets and language barier. The staff helped me daily with my transport arrangements and...

We had stayed in Bangalore at another 5 star hotel which was nice, Pullmans was so another class altogether . Service amazing, room very clean very modern, staff very professional very helpful. The restaurant Senses 1st class we ate at both the buffet and Al a Cart menu after one month eating are way through India it was the best food we had.. My husband commented tha...

My wife and I traveled to India with our son to adopt our 3 year old daughter. Our time in Delhi was so memorable not only because we obtained custody of our daughter, but the hotel staff made friends with us. I couldn't recommend a place more highly. Please stay here. The place was clean, the staff was helpful, and the value was amazing.

We chose this hotel instead of one near the downtown in order to reduce the traveling time from Agra to Delhi only for a night. On the next day, when we faced heavy traffic in Delhi, we realized it was indeed a good decision. The suite room, with an extra bed, was big enough for us (a family of four with kids 17 and 12 years), The room was clean, sleeping arrangements ...

The hotel will take some finding - and the address on Agoda was not correct when I booked it. Visit the hotel's own website to be sure. Initially I booked the hotel to be close to the racetrack (Formula One), but it turns out it was not the most smart choice (consider staying somewhere closer to the metro instead). What really irked was the stench from a nearby (REA...

Having been a regular at Carslon group hotels. This was nothing shy of their expected impeccable service. Although otherwise spotless, I faced an issue where the air-conditioning in the first room suddenly decided to be quite vocal and loud with its motor. The second room was allotted around 11:45 pm. All was well until 4 am, where although my set temperature was 24C t...

More about New Delhi and NCR
The last two decades have seen unchecked modernization, but these ancient streets still reveal traditional bazaars and sari shops in proximity to electronics emporiums and gleaming entertainment complexes. From the moment visitors disembark at Delhi – Indira Gandhi International Airport, they're quickly confronted with this booming, multi-cultural community.
New Delhi is unique because it was already the seat of a dynamic empire before the British arrived. While the British architecture in Delhi is impressive, it struggles to compete with massive Mughal feats like the Red Fort or Jama Masjid, sister structures of the Taj Mahal.
Most of the imperial architecture lies in what is now called 'Old Delhi'. This area caters to budget travelers and backpackers while the best selection of accommodations is found in Central Delhi. Hotels in the new city have great access to late-night dining, drinking and dancing venues, whereas those in the historic quarter quiet down earlier in the evening.
