Rayong hotels & places to stay

We enjoyed it. There was a group of people there one evening and they let them sing karaoke in the only restaurant they have. It was blaring. I asked to have it turned down as the restaurant is really long and open to the outdoors. We were at the opposite end as far as you could get from the stage and it was still blaring. One guy wasn’t all that bad ;), but the rest were not. You had to scream to have a conversation. It was only one evening though. The buffet was delicious. I like the pool and the beach was cleaned up. It was honestly the only small segment of beach not filled with styrofoam and other junk. They really need to manage that in Rayong. They had sand fleas around too. It was a great room. The bungalows were booked, but if we went back - we’d try to get one of them. Nice staff. They were more environmentally friendly in how they were setup than a lot of places in Thailand. Two thumbs up :).

No cons only pros this hotel is Brand new everything is clean the sheets and bed are so comfortable and soft the breakfast is the best I have ever seen in a hotel in the world what ever food you want they have it and 7 star all clean and tasty the staff can't do enough for you The pool on the 29floor is a must see and the bar restaurant on the 30th floor has the views like you have not seen before everything about this hotel is first class will stay every time we visit Rayong we have family there so we visit often

The hotel was beautiful and a decent price considering Rayong is an expensive area. The pool was gorgeous and not too crowded. The hotel is also across from the ocean and the beach is very soft with very little rocks. However, my group had car trouble and were completely stranded at the hotel. There was absolutely nothing to do after dinner other than swim. There wasn't even a 7-11 nearby for us to go and get some snacks or drinks. The restaurant was okay but way too westernized. We wanted some good authentic thai seafood but had no transportation options to go to a restaurant. Basically, it's a great location if you have your own method of transportation to leave if need be.,

I took a long weekend away with my teenage son and had a great time. The room was spacious and had a great view. The Hotel is not advertised as 5 Star Hotel but it fell right in line with it's 3 star rating. We had a great time in the huge swimming pool and had a drive out into Rayong. Food was great when we ordered room service. I would recommend this place if you want some time out away from the madness. The beach is not so good but we did some successful shell collecting :-) Overall I had a good experience here.

The Mae Pim Resort Hotel was a great hotel straight across the road from the beach. Scooter hire just down the road 200 meters with a 7/11 staff were very helpful when they could, but maybe would help if someone could speak a bit more English. Staff even dropped us of at the bus station 18 kilometres away. Great place to eat is The Kitchen about a Kilometre heading back to Rayong.

It's a good experience to be there! It's far away from town, @40 mins drive to town, @10 mins walk to nearby hotel with foods & massage. There's no 24 hrs services, from morning to 10pm only, have to find the security guard if necessary, we haven't been to a hotel like this. It seems silent & dark in the hotel area at night, no more night life but it's not quiet as it's located on the roadside, traffic was noicy at all. Staffs there don't know English much but they are nice & helpful, all they were trying there best to serve our needs. Breakfast can just feed our stomach, fruits are always with flys. Few set meals for lunch & dinner were the same with no hope. Hire a motorbike with net @5 mins back to the way to town, there were many local seafoods kitchens on the beach which were cheap & tasty. Swimming pool facing the sea was amazing, walking on the beach or hire a boat for fishing were enjoyable too. Overall the hotel is comfortable & valuable to stay!

The best budget hotel in Rayong. Value for money. I really love King size bed. Defitnetly be there again

We were very pleased that we chose the island to be our honeymoon destination. It's only a few hours drive from Bangkok. And when we arrived there, we truly did enjoy the breathtaking views of the sea. The white sandy beach was clean and we were able to swim in. The best part for us was the privacy of the location. You can only hear the sound of the sea and of your company with some odd crickets and geckos noises. We loved the bungalow we stayed. It was not very fancy but very comfortable indeed. Though the bathroom and toilet could be cleaned better. We spent most of our days in the little open-air hut in front of our bungalow by the sea doing nothing but relaxing. The staff there was friendly and willing to help. The food was delicious and not too pricey. Definitely recommend this place for those who seek relaxation and escape from busy life.

This is probably the best hotel in Rayong. The rooms are large and very comfortable. It's across the street from the beach which is filled with food carts and makeshift restaurants. Note that it's really not a beach for laying on or swimming. The breakfast buffet was wonderful.

I think its one of best hotels in Rayong. Clean, nice and large room. Only one bad think.. far from nice beach..

Definitely one of the best hotel in Rayong. Very nice 2 swimming pools. My son love the kids club. Lot of activities for the kids. The room is big enough and very comfort. Staffs are very attentive. Breakfast are also very good even i go during long weekends. I will come back again if i want to stay in Rayong.

This is a small boutique hotel miles away from Rayong so ideally a car is necessary, but that applies equally to the larger hotels further along the coast. The hotel has only 18 rooms, consequently the facilities are appropriate to the size. For us it was perfect. The pool and sea are clean, there are no beach sellers and there are no high rise hotels or apartments in sight to spoil the natural environment, only green trees that line the road to Rayong. The dinner menu is not extensive but the quality of the food is excellent and beyond our expectations. The breakfast is not the normal buffet, but that would not be appropriate for the size of hotel. However, the staff provided all that we asked for. Overall this hotel gets top marks and we will certainly come again.

This was one where I was so reluctant to leave on my business trips. The others, some, I can’t wait for morning to come and check out. For their weekday price, for the comfort level and functionality of the room, for the name Centara, it was an extremely worth well bargain. I will not get such matching levels of services, amenities and enjoyment of being pampered by a well maintained environment in other hotels this region. The view from my Superior Ocean Facing room was awesome. In between my frantic typing on my keyboard, should I needed to relax, I had only to walk out the balcony to reset my un-focused mind back into its stable state. The breeze, the sound of ocean waves, there was no sound of traffic nor noisy crowd. For this hotel was a 50km drive from Rayong, but it will be worth the trip and return I will. Seclusion but without the lack of attention like other hotels do. Meal wise, I enjoyed dining at their pool bar just off the beach. There was a glitch when dessert was served, just a small one. Creme Brulee was frozen at the core, I could hear ice crystals crackling when my spoon dug in. This was further confirmed when I thought I was eating sorbet. They kindly re-served me another one when I voiced out my concern and had to convince the staff that Creme Brulee is not an ice cream with a hot crusty top. My second Brulee was, well at least not frozen, I could tell they tried to warm it up. However, the food & beverage department side of my brain was totally confused if I was having dessert or breakfast. Creme Brulee had a texture of scrambled eggs. My confused brain was fortunately reset to the proper state in the morning where I truly enjoyed their excellent breakfast. Fully re-charged, I was back on the road, reluctantly much that was.

I've stayed at this Rayong hotel for many times since I was very young. I love the atmosphere. The location is just the best and the staff are lovely and service-minded. The price is definitely a bit too high, would only be there when there's promotion :)

i went to this hotel for my customer's wedding. i spent 1 night there. the hotel is great location where is located opposite food market. the main building is quite old, but they have been just expanded new building at the back where is modern decoration and new furniture. complete all amenities inside the room. this is a good choice if you are looking for a hotel in rayong.

Room was very basic it would have been nice to have kettle.veiw was good nice to get away from city for a few days .staff were friendly it is what it is a good cheap hotel in rayong

I have my own travel website, and I thought I would tour Rayong for the first time. What a nice place! friendly people, limited traffic, nice beaches, good restaurants. There are not too many hotels in Rayong of a good standard, but I was impressed by the Novotel.The room was a little small and had limited tv channels, but the staff, breakfast and swimming pools were great. If you book direct the hotel wants at least double the price Agoda can do it for. Spend some time in Rayong, it is nice.

it's about 5 minutes drive to the beach and 2.50 hours drive from bangkok. the restaurant's atmosphere and food are great, but a little pricey. the rooms are clean and new, surprisingly no mosquito in the room. the room downstairs got balcony with nice natural greenery view. the water park is quite great for kids at all ages, especially for kids above 5 years old since it got 3 big fancy sliders and a big pool area. the breakfast area is also near by the pool and it is included in the room package. breakfast is also great with american and thai styles by the lake and pool views. it is worth the money to pay for this hotel for one night stay if not satisfied with beach front hotels in rayong area.

I had gone through many hotel reviews of many hotels in Rayong, found out this place had the most positive reviews so I booked and decided to stay at this place. I was not disappointed at all. The hotel is nice, exterior and interior designs are perfect for such prices, also, the maids had done their jobs well. The only thing that was not quite satisfy was the breakfast. I got down around 8.30am and all the food were almost out, left with some chill food with bad taste. However, the chinese food was pretty good though. Overall, I would say its excellent for a room at this price.

OK folks, what you need to know about Rayong is that it is a very well spread out general area and the songtel/taxis are quite infrequent and regular taxis don't use a meter like in Bangkok. The Rayong Chalet Resort is away along the beach, about 35 kms from Rayong and 25 from Banphe. Banphe and the island Koh Samet are regarded as part of Rayong. The hotel is pleasant enough but there is only a couple of other places nearby and it is very quiet at night. The TV had no international channels, I managed to retune it and find BBC and ESPN but poor reception. The seaview room we got was quite spacious but the bathroom was ridiculously small, the designer could easily have given the bathroom another 1/2 metre and made all the difference. And yes indeed the groutwork on the bathroom tiles could certainly do with a serious going over with good mould killer. It was very nice swimming in the sea here but even away out in the boonies there was still rubbish on the sand and in the water, a problem Thailand does not deal with at all well. Breakfast and the restaurant were adequate. The staff were fine. In closing I would say that the Rayong Chalet suffers from the popularity of Koh Samed because that's where all the tourists are and it is miles away. We had 3 nights here and it was a pleasant change from Bangkok but I think 2 nights would have sufficed. I doubt if I'll be back. Frank and Yingluck from NZ and Thai

Really pleased to have found this resort in Rayong, its a fantastic place with a really nice feel and atmosphere created by the attentive staff and owner. The resort is about 100m from the beach and lots of good sea food restaurants so despite no sea view its fine. The pools are great especially the one with natural rocks and imitation sand, probably the best pool I have been in. The rooms are very well built with great beds and showers and everything you need is there. Will definitely be going back again and recommending it to our friends, thanks for a lovely stay.

It is not really a resort. It is the letting out of villas that have individual owners. checking in is a bit confusing. Non of the usual things like ID checking or the requirement of a credit card for guarantee. Basic necessities are provided, like toilet paper, water and shampoo and towels. But more sophisticated things like a hairdryer are not. There is also no room cleaning and no landline phone to contact the resort. The ambience is nice, though not very private with the high-rise condo right next door. Breakfast is available as a small buffet and is not pricey. Wifi is provided free of charge

We stayed in a two bedroom garden home with two bathrooms, and a kitchen & seating area. Appliances were all there: big fridge, oven, TV (no washing machine, microwave for rent if needed). Facilities were excellent, e.g. swimming pool, restaurant and gym. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beach (and beach road) about 500 meters from the house. Airconditioning working properly (and needed in the hot season) but a bit noisy, as the compresors are attached to the wall outside. The properties are partly hotel partly privately owned, the staff took good care of all guests equally. The beach is excellent! Wide and with plenty of shady trees, busy but never too full.

We could stay there for a day only. Mom got injured so we had to return. the staff was very helpful. They immidiately arranged a wheel chair and even set up an appointment with a doctor. One important tip "never go to thailand without insurance" breakfast spread was good especially for non vegitarians. No good beach in Rayong. Some good local beaches are around 25min. Driving distance from rayong. The hotel promised for a refund as we had to cut the stay but did not do so. Although the hotel is very good but I would recommend a hotel near beach. This hotel is. Perfect for those who are there on business

I have stayed in several hotels in Rayong and most are a little cheaper than RCH. But the added price was for a room in the new addition to the hotel and it made the price worth the little extra. The rooms have a very clean feel to them and the bathroom is spacious, bright and well equiped. The free breakfast a plus but the the free evening meal was great!! Again adding to the "worth the price" comment.

What a super hotel with very well trained, helpful, friendly professional staff. The rooms are excellent, clean, fresh and all with FREE WiFi. The excellent breakfast that is included covers all tastes and cuisines. The hotel is well situated just on Rayong city limits and within walking distance of a superb golf driving range, a 9 hole golf course and the town centre.. The hotel has a great coffee shop that not only serves a full range of different hot and cold coffees but also has a lovely selection of cakes all served in a very relaxing atmosphere. The beach is a ten minute drive away where you will find a superb fresh fish restaurant..... Overall......a superb, excellent well run hotel that we will revisit.

Rooms are fabulously appointed with everything you could need, however there were a couple of glitches. The breakfast was very poor, the hot water was warm at best, and it was a long way from anything. This hotel is in a little village called Ban Chang, which is located in the PROVINCE of Rayong, not the City of Rayong, which caused much confusion for the driver trying to get us there from bangkok. Because of it's remote locality, both Tuk Tuk drivers and Taxi's charge 5 times more than usual for service. It was lovely, but not what we expected, and due to it's location, there was no saving to be had by booking through an online service, since after taxi fares (1,500 baht one way), we could of stayed in a 5 star resort.
