Traveling to United Kingdom? Find Salisbury hotels

This hotel is an easy walk to Salisbury Cathedral, which is what we went to Salisbury for. They also have a large car park where we left our car while we went out exploring. We were thrilled to look out the window in the morning to see the Avon river and the cathedral. The rooms were comfortable and clean with excellent heating. Our tariff included breakfast, which was in a glass room, like a large conservatory, looking out to the Avon river and Salisbury Cathedral. As we were eating breakfast, swans were swimming down the river, what a delight.

We really enjoyed Salisbury. We only stayed one night but found staff helpful and the room more than satisfactory. my only concern was parking but that is not a problem confined to this hotel in the UK. The location was excellent for accessing the town.

My parents stayed one Saturday night. Although the bar was noisy when we came in at night, their room was on the top floor at the back and very quiet. The staff were very helpful and friendly, good choice at breakfast, and the hotel itself is very handsome, very well located and very interesting (we enjoyed all the Salisbury pictures in the breakfast room and the back outside area in the morning). The only 4 star review was because of the lift. It took a VERY long time to arrive and a couple times we were sure it had shut down while we were waiting. But once we realised it was just slow, all was well. Would definitely recommend.

Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Close to city centre. The breakfast was cooked to perfection and great variety. The owners were extremely helpful with directions as well as organising a taxi. Good value for money.

The hotel is among the highest rated one at Salisbury and it definitely worths the rating. The hotel is very well preserved with its more than 400 years of history, yet it is kept in good state of maintenance that the rooms and corridor are clean and look pretty. The visitors' book was kept at the lobby and we discovered that record of stay as early as 17th Century. Room is spacious. Within the room, the facilities are in good condition and modern (not 400 years old). Good bathing facilities, comfortable mattress, no cool air conditioning but still ok even for my stay during August. There is a small but pretty garden. There was a wedding banquet held at the hotel restaurant and therefore we had not tried the food there. The frontdesk staff was a bit cool. The hotel is away from train station and taxi is a must but it is very close to the main attractions at Salisbury, just 10-minute walk.

Breakfast buffet not that great and Friday night revellers kept us awake in the courtyard until 1-30 pm. Previous stay had been quiet. Must return for the food ( evening meal excellent) and Charm of an old coaching Inn. No parking available at Hotel which is inconvenient as parking in Salisbury is expensive.

We had a lovely stay at the Victoria Lodge. It was a convenient and comfy base for our family of four. The staff was so kind and thoughtful, particularly after we experienced airline troubles. They gave us extra time in our room and provided helpful advice on seeing the sights and getting around. The breakfast was delicious too. It filled up our teenage boys and included many healthy and vegetarian options. We highly recommend!

The view across the water meadow to the Cathedral was beautiful, pleasant walk to the Cathedral, relaxing atmosphere with big bathroom a large bed room. Would absolutely recommend this hotel and we will be back again.

We stayed for just one night, but Cricket Field House made a huge impression on us. We were in a beautiful suite; the decor, furniture, facilities and cleanliness were perfect. Helen and Jay gave us a warm, friendly welcome, and Helen was brilliant at meeting our needs before we’d even asked! Just after we’d arrived, we when to sit in the beautiful garden to have a drink. She overheard us commenting that we should have brought some nibbles to have with our drinks, and before we knew it she’d turned up with some crisps, and asked if we wanted any ice for our drinks. What a lovely, thoughtful gesture. The following morning we arrived at a very busy breakfast service, but once again Helen couldn’t have been more accommodating. The continental buffet was a good as I’ve had in the most expensive if hotels, and our cooked breakfast was genuinely one of the best - lovely local fare, cooked perfectly. We would t hesitate to return - but we’d probably choose to stay longer next time!

The Spire, the Mill, the River! Think history, think scenary, think nature. Get invigorated, rejuvenated and relaxed! It is hard to believe your eyes when first arriving! The historic environment and the ambience provided by buildings as well as the water meadows and the river Nadder are just breathtaking. Nice rooms, the Mill pub, breakfast on top of the harnessed river and you can hardly ask for more!

The location is in the middle of Salisbury. It is about a mile from the train station. It is about 15 minute drive to Stonehenge. The food in the pub is alright. We went on a Wednesday so sadly there was no music planned. Tuesday is open mic night and Thursday had a musician planned. We stayed in the king sized room and it was lovely with raised ceilings.

The cottages were lovely, cosy and comfortable. A real country feel! There were so many inclusions in the accommodation - the owners have thought of everything! Across the road was a pub with great food and atmosphere. Took 10 mins by car to drive to Stonehenge. Would like to come back and stay longer

The hotel itself was literally a stone throw's away from Salisbury station and was very convenient. You'd still have some good sleep at night though and won't hear the trains. It's also just a couple of minutes walk to the town center if you needed anything for food or entertainment. Quite near the cathedral as well and the museum. The place itself was well equipped, especially the kitchen. They had everything you could possibly need, even had an ironing board and iron, hair dryer, etc. The only thing I noticed was they didnt really include a washing sponge and that the coffee press in the room was unwashed when we first used it but other than those,the place was fantastic and the staff were really helpful.

This is basically a local pub with a few filthy rooms upstairs. They're probably fine for drunk patrons to stumble up to if they can't drive home, but they really shouldn't be taking travellers who book online. The sheets on my bed did not appear to have been changed, the room stank, carpet was filthy and the staff were preoccupied with local bar folk and totally indifferent to hotel guests. My guess is that the owner has just decided to open up the rooms on Agoda for a bit of extra cash but the staff don't want to or have no idea how to manage outside guests at the hotel. Tip: if you really need to stay here you can wash your sheets at the Washing Well laundrette, a few minutes walk away, but you need to start by 8PM. Then it might do for a night if you're desperate enough.

Cosy, clean place with excellent breakfast. Staff was also very friendly. We had a lovely scenic walk to the river after our breakfast.
