We looked around various beach areas aong St Helens Point and Binalong Bay which has snow white sand and rocky outcrops stained by red algae which is a great contrast. We even ate some oysters off the rocks and went fishing at St Helens. The supermarket sold a wide variety of goods and there were some other shops we looked in that sold ladies and mens clothing, shoes, jewellery, bricabrac and souvenires. We spent an interesting 2 hours at the Information Centre in St Helens as they also had a history room which was filled with local artifacts and relics of the fishing, tin mining and timber history. There was certainly lots to see in and around the area. When we left St Helens, we travelled to Launceston through some scenic areas stopping along the way to take photographs.
