The Hotel is undergoing refurbishment, as a bit dated, this obviously takes longer, having to be done in stages, while still accommodating guests. From the moment we entered the Reception Lobby, we felt incredibly welcome, the Staff have to be the most obliging, friendly and helpful we have come across, in our many years and localities of travelling. The room design and layout, was beyond expectations, choosing to book a Queen Size Lakeview room, we were not disappointed. The Bathroom was well thought out, separate toilet room with door within, separate shower, corner spa & vanity. Whilst our room had been updated, the coffee, tea, kettle, toaster & mini bar fridge, were located behind a single cupboard door, which also included hanging space, spare blankets, pillows etc, ironing board & iron. Could do with an additional cupboard and a microwave would be helpful. Balcony overlooked the pool area & straight out over the lake facing to Budgewoi. View could be seen easily, whilst lying on the bed, wonderful way to wake up in the morning. Table & two chairs as well as a sunbed, were located on our balcony. Nice lattice work balcony dividers between each unit. Meals in the restaurant were extremely nice, value for money and well presented, again exceptional view. Suggest display case for cakes or deserts though, menu only had two (2) choices, we had to ask if any other choices, to find an alternative. Pool is divine!! Size, length & depth wonderful, handrail into same would assist, I'd recently undergone total replacements on my hip & opposite knee, made entering & exiting challenging. Will definitely return & extend length of stay, planning our next visit already!!!
