Atrium Inn Vancouver
Hastings-Sunrise,Vancouver (BC) - View on map
"Frankly to say, I have traveled to Vancouver so many times and stayed in so many different hotels. Atrium of course can't compare with higher class 5 stars hotels....but as value for money, Atrium tops them all! Very good booking price vs good services, clean room, breakfast and underground very secured parkings. I will pretty sure I will book Atrium again for next travel!"

Moda Hotel
Yaletown,Vancouver (BC) - View on map
"We stayed at Moda for 3 nights. We found the hotel easily when driving into the city and it was very handy to have on street parking outside to be able to drop our bags before returning our hire car to a car park drop off further up Seymour street. The room was ready even though it was well before check in and the staff were very friendly and welcoming at check in. The room adaquate but found a lack of floor space to open two large suitcases but it’s a city centre hotel so it is to be expected and we worked around it. Our room overlooked the busy Seymour street but the traffic did not disturb us even with the window open. A great coffee maker and a fridge in the room which was clean and very comfy. The hotel was in a great position to get to Granville street, Robson street for shopping and a short walk to Gastown. Happy to stay again if ever back in Vancouver. "

Barclay Hotel
West End,Vancouver (BC) - View on map
"If you are planning to spend most of your time out and about whilst in Vancouver then this is your best bet! The room - although basic and very small - was actually quite clean and the location of the place is fantastic. Front desk staff were okay, not cheerful but not rude either. The gentleman in glasses was most friendly and happy. It is easy to walk anywhere from this place, we did a leisure walk to Stanley Park, wharf and Canada Place from there with our young kids. Plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. Just a little note, the room had a very strong smell, which might turn some people off. In fact the whole place did smell funny but I couldn’t describe what it was like. The closest thing would be like a mixed between the smell of a sugar soap, odour of commercial grade cleaning product and that dampness of wet old carpet. We just opened the windows in our room most of the time to let the fresh air in otherwise it would be too overwhelming. "

Sutton Place Hotel

"my staying at this hotel is good. First, It's location is great. Near to down town & canada place, gastown, cause of that I enjoyed most of all vancouver. And hotel staff's service is good. One thing I sorry about this trip at this hotel, I didn't have enough time to have chocolate buffet. I heard that this hotel's chocolate buffet is best. "

Fairmont Hotel Vancouver

"THE HOTEL IS OF A LONG HISTORY AND UNDER PARTIAL RENOVATION AT THE TIME WHEN I WAS STAYING. BUT OVERALL IT IS OF GOOD LOCATION AND GOOD SERVICE. RECOMMEND FOR THE PRICE VALUE TOO. NOT ONLY TWO BLOCKS FROM THE METRO STATION, BUT THERE ARE A FEW BUS STOPS ON THE STREET RIGHT OUTSIDE THE LOBBY TOO. AND IT IS RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE ART GALLERY OF VANCOUVER. "

"The hotel is in a location where some of the people on the the street are “street people”. That said, nobody boo there us, and staff at the front desk were clear about leaving nothing in the car. The valet took good care of the car."

Pan Pacific Vancouver Hotel

"Me and my son's first trip to Vancouver. My husband took us there for New Year's Celebration. Hotel is fantastic with great breakfast. The room is very clean. It has comfortable 2 queen beds with lots of soft and comfy pillows. We had an amazing view of the water, mountains and some part of the other city. The best part was, we had the view for the Fireworks. But the only thing is missing is a bedroom sleepers which I guess not expensive to offer to a guests who paid $1300 for only 3 nights. I would recommend this hotel to traveller who won't bring a car . Restaurants and shops are accesscible even the food court has an access from the hotel. "

Traveler impressions of Vancouver (BC)

More about Vancouver (BC)

As slick and modern as it is nostalgic, Vancouver is one of Canada's most recent triumphs. It's the largest city in the nation's west, and has gracefully transcended its sawmill origins to become a vibrant cultural hotspot.

An old-world British ambiance clings to South Granville, despite the fact that it slumped into industrialism for a while. The government injected Granville Island with some much-needed capital a few years ago, and the entire district has blossomed into a quaint commercial area rife with English pubs, craft boutiques, open-air markets and some of the best hotels in Vancouver.

Most of the accommodation in Vancouver is located in the greater downtown district. Guests based in this area enjoy easy access to Vancouver's hippest clubs, cafés, and lounges. Vancouver may be small by big-city standards, but it still has plenty to offer on the cosmopolitan front from cultural institutes like the Museum of Anthropology to Chinatown. Vancouver also has a fantastic shopping scene that includes large malls and exotic, ethnic marketplaces.

It cannot be denied that Vancouver's true power to move visitors is rooted in the outdoors. Every winter, skiers parade through Vancouver as a last stop on their way to Whistler. Nearby, Grouse Mountain operates a cable car and can be skied in the winter or hiked in the summer. Other summertime activities include mountain biking, beach combing, kayaking, and golfing.

The fastest way into the city is via Vancouver International Airport. Be sure to check out the interactive map of Vancouver for information on hotel locations, attractions, and must-see destinations.
