Zermatt hotels & places to stay

Cheap place to stay for Zermatt. However, it is a hike to get to, with a ten minute walk to apartment from city center. Overall nice place but note, that there is no WiFi.

호텔이 너무 이쁘고 아기자기하게 잘 꾸며놨습니다. 마테호른이 바로 보이는 숙소 뷰 덕에 너무너무 행복한 시간 보냈구요. 다음 일정에 먹을 고기를 보관해야 하는데, 바로 냉장고 보관도 해주시고, 와인오프너가 없어서 오픈부탁을 했는데 좋은 잔에 마셔야 한다며 와인잔도 내어주시고 너무 즐겁고 행복하게 놀다왔습니다. This hotel is really beautiful and decorated so lovely. You can stay here with Matterhorn view. it was so nice. I should have kept my meat for next city so I asked them to do it, and they accepted it so kindly, also when I asked them to open my wine, they said to me that I should drink wine with nice glasses, and then they borrowed me them. I was so nice Zermatt trip thanks to this hotel and nice staff

Olie was just delightful and so was our room. Actually to call it a B & B seems a bit churlish, as it had everything but room service; fitness room available at nearby hotel. We arrived in the dark, so weren't sure what we'd see from our balcony, so when I woke up to see Matterhorn right there, it was a most welcome added bonus. I also very much appreciated our room having a bath, as on one of our trips down from Gornergrat, we had taken unknowingly taken the red route and I needed a cold bath for my runners knee. (On that note - up the mountains it's not always easy to see what path is at what level, so do take extra care, but I particularly loved Zermatt for all the walks and treks available.) Pop-up/Primavera is not too far from train station, funiculars and supermarkets, it has a fast wee lift, clean and comfortable spaces, and it is easy to manoeuvre and find your way around it the hotel too. Loved the wee cowbell key rings, we both bought something similar to take home with us. Would have loved to have been able to buy one just like it at the hotel, but didn't have luck finding such in the shops. We enjoyed breakfast very much - it had everything you could wish for, and we were even able to fill a small flask with hot water to take with us on days out too. We also like that the rooms and balconies have a bit of character, so you know where you are in the world. So many hotels are just another streamlined hotel, which could be anywhere. Dependent on how you book, you could have the local hotel tax to pay in cash, but we'd paid through Agoda, so no extras I clicked "couple", but we were actually "aunt and niece" - I'm a seasoned traveller in my early 50s, and my niece - in her early 20s - has even seen mount Everest, and neither of us suffer fools.... we'd both go back to this gem.

Located a short 6-8 minutes' walk from the Zermatt train station on flat ground (no hill-climbing). Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Room was spacious for 1, cosy and had a lovely view of part of Zermatt and the mountains. Breakfast was good with warm food. Very convenient to the Gornergrat Bahn. The Matterhorn station is a bit of a walk away. Note that the street from Zermatt station to the hotel can be a tad dark at night as there is little or no street lighting.

I stayed here during September where it's in low season in Zermatt view room so this is a late review . I enjoyed my stay here, the reception is always so friendly and willing to help, felt the great hospitality throughout. Instead of a hotel, i say this place feels like home with its cozy and homely feeling. the breakfast selection was good , having stayed in switzerland for 2 weeks in different hotels, felt that the cheese selections here have a wide selection. The room was spacious where i can open up my two huge suitcase inside with lots of space. Room and toilet are clean and organised when i stepped in. Would love to stay here again when back in zermatt! Thank you for the great job!

We came into Zermatt by Glacier Express, highly recommend. Rang hotel from train station hotel phone and they sent vehicle to pick us up straight away. We were expected, welcomed briefed thoroughly about the hotel and the resort. We were able to purchase ski passes there and then on our hotel account. The hotel is immaculately maintained and clean. Breakfast is provided in their beautiful dining room. Dinner is not available at the hotel but part of the pleasure of Zermatt is the abundance of very good restaurants.

Very good. excellent hotel. big rooms. Before you arrive Zermatt let the hotel know, they will send you a porter to pick up your luggage. Breakfast was normal as in all European hotels. Staff was excellent. Thomas too care of all our services. We went to Gongregrat and Matterhorn from Zermatt and then took Glacier Express to CHUR. Zermatt is very beautifull and worth spending maximum time of your swiss stay.

Newly Refurbished Fresh Room Upgrade - A double room was offered instead of the Single room booked. It made a short holiday break showing visitors from my Asian homeland a definite welcome change from the grey wet rainy weather encountered at Zermatt. Apart from a single cleanliness oversight during the renovations in the bathroom, all was beyond expectations and worth every franc in expensive Zermatt. The location is excellent, away from the busy noisy main street, yet close to the Gornergrat bahn and the main station to Täsch.

I loved my studio so much for its space and the small kitchen, though it took a while for the refrigerator to function. The room was quiet and clean and the bed was comforable. I will go back again and would like to stay at their two bedrooms apartment which looks spacious and nice.

Great services and location. the balcony view is excellent with Matterhorn view. Have free wifi in the room. Breakfast is ok. We need to check out at 7am to catch up the train at the last day, and they are willing to let us took some food away for my breakfast.

All the staff were so friendly and jolly , we had the pleasure to meet one of the owners, she was very nice and very accomodating. She made sure our stay is utmost comfortable. The food in their restaurant are all good. They have a small menu card but you can be sure that all ingredients are fresh. They also offer a nightly set menu which is thr value for your money. They charge a flat rate of 50chf for a 5 course meal. You cant find anything in this price in switzerland and more so in Zermatt. Their wellness area is huge and so relaxing. They offer a wide range of options from wet to dry sauna, huge indoor pool a noce and cozy outdoor jacuzzi. They even offer snacks in the wellness area as well as robes towels and slippers. The hotel is located near 2 mountain lifts, gournergrat bahn and sunnerga bahn. It also a 5 min walk to the main trainstation. The hotel is not located in the center of the town which gives it a more subtle peaceful atmoshere.

It's a good basic stay for the money.t Room itself is clean and good. However the walk is more than 10 mins even without luggage. We took almost 30 mins to get there with wheeled luggages after arrival. Other than that no complaints. There is also an elavator which is convenient

Beauitful Scenery, Room is very warm, Location is slightly far from Zermatt railway station, u can take a bus outside the station, is around 2.5, and It took us more that 30 mins walking from hotel railway station as our train was 6am, no bus at the timing.

This could not have been more perfect for my family. We are frequent travelers and are rarely this pleased. There is plenty of space for the family in a smartly furnished apartment. The private garden provides unobstructed views of the Matterhorn and town. The views alone are worth the stay. The host has done an amazing job at writing directions and recommendations for your stay. She even saved me more than 50 percent buy providing the number for a taxi driver she has an agreement with. I am a US airline pilot and spend a third of my life in very nice hotels but this stay will go down as one of my favorites. Thank you so much to the hosts.

The Metropol is a fantastic little place in the center of Zermatt. It's a small family-run place that offers all the warmth and hospitality one would expect from this type of place. The spa facilities are a welcome addition to generally comfortable rooms and very good food. Highly recommended.

While we booked Hotel Daniela, we were actually told that we were upgraded to their sister hotel, Hotel Julen, which comes with 4 stars+. Yay! So this review is on Hotel Julen. Very impressive boutique hotel that comes with great wifi. Rooms are spacious and very clean, although ours did not come with the view of the Matterhorn. Perfect for a couple with its decor, as it is also dubbed the romantic hotel here. Location is about 10 mins walk from the main train station. Zermatt is a pretty small town and most things are close by including their supermarket Migros/ Coop. Do not buy the magnets here though, you can get it much cheaper at Interlaken.

Apartment with complete facilities. About 600 metres from zermatt train station or 100 metres from zermatt spiss bus station. There is a bottle of good tasted welcomed wine. All rooms were very neat and clean. Kitchen were ready for cook. I rate 10/10.

The place is very gorgeous, stylist, modern and well maintained. Location is easy to navigate with provided detail instruction. Bars and restaurants nearby even McDonnalds. From property nearby, you can enjoy the Zermatt city view, good for golden and blue hour photography.

When I take my family for a vacation, I would like to expect the same facilities as I have in my own home. This includes to the option to cook your own meals, launder your own clothes and even stay the whole day in the apartment (if needed) and not get board. Finding this place was a very pleasant surprise. It's just around 150 meters from the train station and the proprietors are very personable. If I ever go back to Zermatt, I will definitely stay here again and will recommend this to anyone I know who plans to go there.

I am a single female traveling Europe. I decided last minute to take a trip to Switzerland and more specifically, Zermatt. After reading many travel reviews, I choose to spend the extra money to stay at the Omnia. It was well worth it. I was slightly disappointed (based on most reviews) they usually have a sign with your name on it to take you to from the train station to hotel. I had to call for pick up. After that, it was beyond amazing. The main yound lady met me at the front, offered me a cocktail on the patio to relax as they checked me in. She showed me around the hotel and to my room, where relaxing music was playing. Bed-super comforable, I felt safe and well connected. The food was a little pricy for both lunch & dinner but sortof expected. Breakfast was included and great. For a single traveler (not splitting bottles of wine,food or room) it was a budget killer but I do not regret it. I did not enjoy the 50 frank hamburger and they took it off without hestiation. Awesome staff. Everyone knew my name and was SUPER helpful after hectic travel.

I stayed at the Oxalis room at Welcome BnB Apartments. I had originally booked a 2 bedder for me and my husband and when I saw how large the apartment was, I invited my friends over for the weekend. The owners didn't mind after I had informed them of my plans and didn't charge me extra for the extra linen used. The rooms were nice and warm especially since it was freezingly cold in Zermatt and everyone in the apartment felt at home. It was a great home away from home. It had a ski room where we could store our ski gear and the best feature of the place is that it is only a 5 min walk away from town and amenities. The rooms are family friendly! Overall, a fantastic place and one worth returning.

Zermatt Town is literally over densely populated with buildings.. For the sole reason of travelling convenience, there is no other reason u will wanna stay in town. We came thru Zermatt during the non peak season and hostels & haus in our neighbourhood were mostly empty, but I strongly doubt so during the peak season. Haus Galileo is located on a much higher ground than Zermatt Town, so walking to town is quite enjoyable. Please don't try the other way, you will be dead tired. We had no problems with the house, facilities and host. We loved the serenity of the environment.

Very helpful and kind to us. I left something in the hotel and she helped me a lot to ask the fee from the post office. Highly recommended and I’ll definitely be back here to stay again.

May is definitively not the best time to visit Zermatt as there is a battery of busy trucks in construction. The hotel also took advantage to undertake renovations. The spa area is fairly big. The rooms are really beautiful chalet style. the dinner option is great value also in terms of staff friendliness and quality. The fireplace in the reception area is cosy.

Diana is really friendly, she kept contact me thru email before we arrived. We took a taxi from the train station to Haus Anita (CHF 38 per trip), which approximately 10 minutes or less. There are few restaurant around there (walking distance) don’t need to worry about food. We also have kitchen in the apartment. We stayed at the ground floor and there is a jacuzzi which we can relax and enjoy the view and Matterhorn, which is fabulous.

Amazing place! Everything you need to destress and enjoy the lovely area. Out of the way but only 10 to 15 min walk to town. Beautiful view of the Matterhorn and a waterfall. Helpful and nice host. Very close to the gondola to ascend the mountain. Playground across the street would be perfect for little ones.

I couldn't believe we could enjoy such high quality apartment in Zermatt in such affordable price. We stayed at a 2 bedroom apartments. the living rooms, bedrooms and toilets are so big and nicely decorated. The kitchen is well-equipped with dish washing machines with detergant, stove, microwave and cutleies. I cooked breakfasts and dinners without any difficulties. It locates at a quite location which is a bit off (15 mintues walk) from the train station and supermarket but it's an advantage to me that I can avoid the crowd and enjoy the quite holiday at Zermatt.

nice to stay, excellent scenery, I can see different colored Mattehorn in the bed room. close to connect to mountain tracking course. 20-25 min walk from railway station, but bus stops near house. easy to connect house to station.
