Wow- Cocohut, wow! ”
I can’t say enough. This resort was the equivalent of a 5 star resort in the US, beautiful views and right on the beach. So clean and pretty. The restaurant was affordable, probably my least favorite Thai food so far on the trip though, but they have many other options. The pool and gym were great! And the sunset views are out of control. The beach is pretty good but lots of sea creatures out in the water, so be careful. Fun to walk the beach- head down to the lighthouse and swing in their hammocks while sipping on a Chang Beer. Beautiful! I could go on and on about how perfect this resort is.. they drive you to city center for 50 Baht/person. I would definitely be back!
We really enjoyed our honeymoon stay at cocohut! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Their private beach is very picturesque. We stayed at hillside and enjoyed the privacy of the rooms. The room itself was clean and spacious. There was a bench inside that was handy for us to put our luggage on. The breakfast was great. The restaurant may be pricer for those on a budget but the food was enjoyable. The location was also great balance for quiet relaxation in contrast to main busy area. Would absolutely stay here again!
The staff make the place, facilities are an added bonus”
When booking a twin room and later discovering it was a double with an added bed, we were not satisfied. The staff went above and beyond to help us and upgraded our room on the premise of staying an extra night- as we were tempted to do in the first place. They could not have been more helpful. Additionally, the gentleman who organised transport for guest was very patient with all of our questions as this was our first time in Thailand. With the beach, rooms and staff members, it really made our stay in Thailand the highlight of our trip.
Absolutely beautiful resort, right on the beach. Very friendly staff, nice food and a fine fitnesscenter. The only thing that was a bit annoying was the volleyball between the restaurant and the beach.. apart from that, the resort is very close to perfect
Nice hotel at a very beautiful beach”
Cocohut beach is one of the best in Koh Phangan. This hotel has good location, nice pool and pretty good in every way. They even have air-condition at the fitness room, which is rare in Thailand. It was quite expensive during the full moon party, but still ok.
Beautiful hotel, quiet and central at the same time”
They upgraded us to a better bungalow (no idea what was the difference as we didn’t get to see the standard one)- the upgraded one was big, very comfortable bed, nice view.. however bad curtains; the sun gets in early in the morning and couldn’t sleep much. The hotel is quite central, close to the full moon party/sunrise beach (5min walk) however you need to go up the street to get to the center, was “ok” for us but could be difficult to people with babies or mobility problems. The hotel’s spa: very good massage and 40% off any kind of massage. The hotel’s restaurant not quite good. The staff very polite, nice and helpful. Laundery service in the hotel: cheap and clean. The hotel’s beach private and beautiful. The breakfast NOT good, very poor variety, didn’t enjoyed it at all. All in all good experience for two nights, wouldn’t stay there for too long.
Lovely beach position pity about some of the other guests”
Loved our room and the staff were excellent. Breakfast was adequate but not much variety. The usual pool lounge hogs were up early and did not move all day. Some of the families were useless at controlling their children by the pool and around the rooms. Late night revellers woke us up on occasions slamming the doors and moving furniture in the middle of the night. Loved Leela beach and restaurants close by. Plenty of minimarts as hotel prices were dear
I'm very disappointed! I paid a lot of money to this hotel and did not get the room I had registered and agoda's attitude was not good. I wanted the difference of the room I had not paid or received. And that's why I left the hotel at 1.1 instead of 4.1 because the service was not good! I demand compensation !!!
Very good hotel, perfect place and beach. If you want to go to Fullmoon party, but stay in quet hotel it is the best option. The Main Street and Haad Rin beach with the party is very close. Tasty breakfast. But: 1. Very expensive beer and cocktails in the hotel and no other options on the beach. 2. House keeping doesn’t clean sand from the room during your stay.
It was an unbelievable couple of days. From the breakfast they started with a huge bang and at the end of my 3 days there I am sad to leave. Thanks for the great service. Friendly staff. Great pool. Basic but nice gym. Would definitly come again!
A very good recommendation for Haadrin stayers”
A very good option to stay at Haadrin. The resort is self sufficient. Helpful staff. Location of restaurant is amazing, good view. Food in the restaurant is nice, a bit pricey but still doesn't affect the pocket that much. Has a good beach so never had the need to even check the pool. Breakfast has decent variety. We stayed in the cliff villa, location is very nice of the room, very clean and spacious. Its just 5 minutes walk away from the Haadrin market area, 10 min from the Haadrin pier. Cons- has few but can be neglected as the place is really nice. 1) a little $ but its was worth a stay. 2) people traveling with kids, please be a little careful, the beds have sharp edges ( i bruised my leg once) 3) spas are good but for massages, i'd prefer places out the resort. There are some good ones located near by. 4) rooms are quite big but i feel it could have been designed a bit better, add up some shelves or a bigger cabinet. Mostly the luggage is lying on the floor. In general, it has well maintained its privacy so you are comfortable and at the same time a bit away from the chaos of Haadrin beach and full moon party noise. Would rate 8.8/10.
Nice room, great food but a bit crowded”
It was our first time on this island. The hotel room was spicy and very clean. Friendly staff and great food. We ate at the hotel every meal, luckily the food was nice. But they need to improve on breakfast. They serve exactly the same food for breakfast for the entire three days of our trip. The beach is quite crowded may be because it was during full moon party time. This beach, Had Rin, is only recommended for those who likes party and who are on for full moon party. For us is a bit crowded. Other than this, everything else is great!
The best of the best”
This was our 2nd visit and we enjoyed even more than the 1st time.. This resort is so relaxing and the minute you arrive you feel like your in paradise.. The cliff bungalows are a fantastic view and nice clean rooms and well priced.. The restaurants food is some of the best i have eaten after returning to thailand on many occasions over many years.. The beach is the best on koh phangnan and was hard to leave.. But finally the best part of this resort is the staff..Always friendly and accomadating and happy to help so we know we will be back again as we didnt want to leave.. Until next time..
View of private beach ”
I've been to this place before and remember how I felt about the View, and idea of he private beach - so had to come and stay! We had one of the high huts, so could see the ocean, but the room itself was very basic with simple conveniences - coffee being one of them thankfully! The breakfast buffet was also awesome with everything you could want - pancakes, fruits, cereal, Muslie, egg station, phad Thai, toast, bread, pizza ext. Also juices, coffee, tea and water. We were very tired while there so didn't get a chance to do much as we spent most of the time wandering around Haad Rin which is only a short walk from there. The staff were also very helpful and moved our bags to the room, as well bringing them back down and booking a rather expensive taxi. If you have time, I would recommend booking one outside of there. All in all, good stay, but not sure if it was worth the money unless you are really keen on staying in Haad Rin. There are plenty of better places on the island
Cocohut features sturdy and tasteful architecture and everything in the resort seemed to work well. The staff members were great. I enjoyed the dinners I had at the restaurant and the breakfast buffet there is second to none. The resort is also within walking distance of other restaurants and of course the full moon party, but there is a hill and enough separation between the resort and the main party zone for you to have quiet. The beach is gorgeous, but during low tide it's not very good for swimming. The pool is fine, though.
you can go to fullmoon party beach but too far to walk. make sure you rent a motorbike, without motorbike, not easy to go anywhere. location is far from down town. quite but really motorbike to move. without motorbike you will just get stuck in this location and beach only.
Everything about this resort was great.. The staff were friendly and helpful and the bungalow was clean modern with a great view.. The food was delicious and well priced.. The beach was beautiful and had good facilities.. We will return to cocohut hopefully in the not to distant future..
This resort is located right on Leela beach, which is small, quiet and beautiful. Room was good, although we needed to walk 65 steps (yes, I counted) to get there. But the view - oh boy - it was well worth it. The shower was pretty old but otherwise room was ok. It came as a nice surprise that there was a gym at the resort. For us vegans the breakfast had fruit, toast with jam, and good salad options every day, and we brought our own soy milk to have with cereal etc. The only real minus was that there was a bird cage and a fish pool in the lobby - no need to capture beautiful animals for tourists to look at. All in all a good choice.
Stayed here for 1 night whilst visiting Koh Phangan, I wish we booked to stay here longer as the hotel complex was lovely, from the rooms which were modern and like a cottage feel to the lovely pool and ocean right next to you with an amazing beach.
Very nice hotel with the perfect beach”
I like this hotel , best clean beach (Leela beach) , nice clay made spa room , lovely ! But if you come from Tao island by Lompraya ferry , from that Pier to the hotel is very far to this hotel, somemore on the low season you have to pay 500 baht in order to go to this hotel by occupying the van alone to send you to this hotel, High price journey !
