Amazing Tropical Resort in Maumere”
Coconut Garden Beach Resort is basically exactly what I imagined a tropical island resort to be like when I was a child. The bungalows are nicely decorated with sea shells and wood carvings. The beds are comfortable with good, high quality mosquito nets. Each of the bungalows has a comfortable shaded deck to relax on and read a book. The garden is full of coconut trees and flowers and the unique architecture of the bungalows fits beautifully with the natural environment. The beach is nice and at high tide there is a nice area in the water to play in. In low tide you can walk out and see all sorts of fun exotic sea life in the shallow tide pools like starfish, pipefish, eels, crabs, shrimp and sea cucumbers. There is a beautiful, healthy coral reef out about 200 meters from the shore (you can only get to it really at high tide and need to head towards the rocks at the edge of the property, just keep swimming until you see the reef. ) During high tide you can also snorkel over the seagrass for more of a "muck snorkelling experience to see some of the unique critters that hide and live in the seagrass." This area is particularly interesting if you have a waterproof torch to snorkel over at night during high tide. We saw unique snails, large crabs, eels and a VERY friendly Starry Night Octopus. All in all Coconut Garden Beach Resort is a perfect place to relax after an adventurous trip across Flores and has plenty of activities for you to explore if you want to do more than just sit on a beanbag on the beach in the shade of a coconut tree. The restaurant is also excellent with a good variety of fish based dishes. It is THE place to stay in Maumere and a perfect place to end a trip to Flores.

This was the most beautiful and most perfect hotel where we have stayed in whole South east asia! The room is like a dream come true and everytime you come in again you feel a little sprak inside. The staff was so friendly and the rest of the resort was super super clean and beautiful! We can’t imagine a better resort, expesially in maumere. Treat yourself and book this resort! You won’t regret it!!!! For this money it is insane what you get! Just do it!!!

Beach paradise”
It was our first family holiday with our baby and it was beyond expectation. Fun relaxed beach atmosphere; georgeous resort set up on the beach where you walk on sand barefoot everywhere including to the undercover open bamboo resturant. Lovely food too! Our bungalow was a beautiful bamboo bungalow with a low set bamboo frame bed which made for our 10 month a great gymbaroo to practice standing climbing and crawling all over. He had a ball. The staff were amazing, even serving our last dinner on our terrace as it was pouring rain and they didnt want our baby son to go out in the storm. Thank you to our favourite staff... Scenery in here is soooo amazing.I loved the room.Every little things looks so nice,simple and i enjoy it. This is a good place for honeymoon,or if u need "me time". Kano also good. Minus thing about this resort only lunch and dinner' food, the food in this resto is "unaccepted for our tongue" (too much salt,and weird taste too) so far. Too much flies around our food and the dog kept coming around us,the dog name is cece if im not wrong. But overall,i want to comeback again for sure.

It was just perfect, enjoying sunsets in the resort during the evenings, and snorkeling on the coral reef during the day. Staff is professional and the food was tasty. We were also using kayaks and sups, which are available for free. Ambient of the resort (coconuts all over) is giving positive and relaxing energy. Best resort during our visit of Bali, Flores...

Perfect honey moon scenery”
These kind of resorts, I only knew from pictures before. For the first time on our world trip, we felt it would be worth it to spend some extra money on an accommodation like this. And we were right about it. The whole area is treated with such a love for details. It starts with the bungalows. We were in the pink Bungalow and I haven't seen anything like this before. There were seashells embedded in the wooden floor and closed off with some transparent glass/plasticn even featuring some indirect lights, seashells everywhere in the room as decoration, the bed was lovely, everything looked very romantic. The bathroom was a highlight itself. All outdoors but not visible from the outside, black sand with some stone tiles in between you can walk on, nice shower, only the water isn't really hot. Not a problem for me at all, but for the price I should have all the hot water I desire. The veranda was great, direct sea view, a hammock and two comfortable rattan chairs, spent a lot of time there. They clean the whole area every day, also the sand between the bungalows and the restaurant for example, there are a lot of nice flowers which they water several times a day. Also we enjoyed the food in the restaurant. It is more expensive than other places, as other reviews state correctly. But it is not out of the world overpriced and we enjoyed everything we had there. The staff is very friendly and responsive. The beach is beautiful to walk on and there is no one around except a few locals. Made use of the kayaks for snorkeling and also the SUPs are great. There is an intact coral reef just behind the rocks you can see opposite of the beach in the ocean. Only really accessible at high tide though. For this amount of money you would never get your private resort directly at the beach in a beautiful surrounding like this on an island like Bali for example. Not sure if you even can find these spots on Bali anymore. So it was totally worth it. That said I cannot understand a few smal

If you want paradise, this is the place you should go! Unique beach feeling without any compromise. We can totally recommend the snorkeling tour. What an experience! The only 2 little critics: Bad Wifi (who needs Wifi in paradise?) and the (good) food could be a bit more diverse. If we come back to Flores, we will come back to Coconut Beach!!

Amazing ”
Coconut Garden is wonderful. The rooms are fantastic. There are only eight rooms with five more under construction. The bathrooms are open air and huge. The staff is attentive. The grounds are beautiful and well tended. Snorkeling is good but the reef is not close to shore. Breakfast is very nice. The fruit for breakfast was good a couple of days then only avocado. The fish dinners are great. The a/c is weak but the fan makes it comfortable. During our stay the WiFi was down. The resort is quiet unless the neighbors are having a weekend party—that lasts all weekend, day and night—with loud music then earplugs will be useful. If you need a change of menu or a Diet Coke, walk to Budi Sun.

Nice quaint resort by the beach”
Like the design of the resort, and the location that is right on the beach but with some distance so the wave doesn't sound too noisy. Suitable for honeymooners. Be mindful of the aircon and hot water shower as these don't seem to be very effective, a trade off to the location and unique design? Would recommend this to others, but for those expecting a 5 star hotel service and experience, this might not be one for you.

Amazingly designed place”
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Coconut Garden. The owner has designed and created an amazingly well though out resort. All the rooms are made with varnished bamboo and really make you feel like you're in paradise. It is a perfect place for a relaxing and romantic time with your partner. The staff are all extremely nice and accommodating - he has hired well.

Amazing location, beautiful and eccentric design, special, but for the price we paid, we wanted a better staff services. One evening we arrived late, not very late, no one to open the gate, no security to see us coming, so we had to pushed our way in with our bags, etc. In the mornings, they don't actually up early to serve breakfast when you need that early service, so that level of service was a bit odd in the nice hotel like Coconut garden. Perhaps the need to have a more dedicated manager.

Great location for kids!! freedom to play and explore”
The bungalow was amazing, I loved the mix of traditional and innovative design. Very unique. The beach is very nice and safe for children. There are kayaks and snorkels and paddle boards free to use. Only two things made the stay a little less than perfect. We asked for fresh coconuts and were given really old ones - taste quite foul. We were charged $5AUD, quite expensive considering couldnt drink it. I think they should let some local kids in to harvest and sell fresh ones to guests rather than offer something so old. 2. air-conditioning does not really work well enough in our bungalow, as Im from a cold climate, it was really difficult to sleep. We didnt eat here as we had read other reviews saying it wasnt a good idea. We bought our own food in. We drove from Ende, I highly recommend our driver - Rudi - very kind and passionate about showing you the best places. He took us up Kelimutu, walked the whole way and took photos for us.
