Lovely island resort”
Absolutely beautiful island and lovely over-water bungalows - facilities were a little "old" and in need of refurbishment. Bathroom area had poor ventilation. Restaurant had good food options, but felt rather repeitive after 3 days. Breakfast was just average. Surrounding sea, beach, diving, etc - were picture-perfect, and everything you can hope for when you visit the Maldives !
Highly recommended with excellent food and all the staff were friendly and accommodating.
Low key and high quality, COMO Cocoa is a great place! The island is tiny and the number of rooms is small, but it provides all the service and attention you would expect from a big 5 star operation. Healthy food options galore and an excellent dive/marine activity centre. To be honest though, the house reef is so good you don’t need to go too far to enjoy the best of the Maldives!
A Place to be”
Enjoyed very minute at Como Cocoa Island. Words cannot describe it all.
Exactly what you expect - Paradise.”
Choosing from the multitude of resorts in the Maldives proved a little daunting at first. So many positive reviews, so many picturesque Atolls to choose from: you are spoiled for choice, especially if - like us - we wanted nothing more specific than a relaxing, quiet honeymoon in a beautiful setting. I can safely say that after visiting Como Cocoa Island, there is no need to even consider any of the other resorts in the Maldives. We were safely whisked out of Male Airport and into a waiting speedboat, and within 45 minutes we were shaking hands with Benjamin, the general manager who greeted us with fresh coconut water and insisted that anything we wanted, we need only ask. Como Cocoa endeavours to live up to this in every way: you truly feel like - unlike many hotels and resorts - "no" is an answer you will not receive when speaking to any staff across the resort's facilities. We had breakfast food that was not on the room service menu, we had extra portions of dishes that we particularly loved with no fuss, we could walk anywhere, swim anywhere and relax anywhere. Como Cocoa will bend over backwards to create your own private escape from reality, and they'll always do it with friendliness and sincerity. We stayed in the Dhoni Loft Suite, which was both incredibly spacious and practical. The balcony overlooks the house reef that demands to be explored with the free snorkelling gear, which we did frequently and proved to be one of the highlights of the trip: we saw a multitude of reef fish every time we swam, as well as daily sightings of small (harmless) reef sharks, stingrays and the odd turtle. The aquatic centre is open daily and provide you with a range of different guided tours, as well as friendly advice on where to go and what equipment to take. The single restaurant on the island was absolutely fantastic, offering an intimate setting with a varied and delicious range of global cuisines. The facilities are - without exception - clean, modern and inviting
Beautiful Island and Great Service”
Staying at Como Villa everything is taken care by Muru our butler. The Island is beautiful especially The Sandbank. Highly recommend.
Our stay at Cocoa Island was just amazing. It is the best snorkling experience I ve ever had. All staff were friendly and nice. They greet you every time they meet you on the way. I would say the food was michelin standard! Surely will come again.
Vijay and the other employees treated us as royalty. Food and seafood was the best in freshness, quality, and taste.
I like this hotel very much, my faverate place eve”
I will definitely go back if there is any chance
Fantastic stay for couples”
A week in paradise”
Superb friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. Not got the home reef of some of the resorts but very accessible and beautiful clear lagoon
You cannot be disappointed by staying at Cocoa Island by COMO!
Best in Maldives”
We stay 4 days in this hotel, One day in loftsuite and 3 days be upgraded to one bad room vella. The vella side holds the best beach and beautiful water. The spa is very good. The beach diner for cooupes are very good. There is a good snorkling area just out of the water house. The staff are all very ice with excellent services. We will back to the hotel next time
You get the Luxury you pay for”
It was a great experience. Our 6 year old daughter even mentioned that she enjoyed this trip better than Disneyland. This must have made quite an impression on her .
Fantastic beach resort stay”
Piece of Paradise”
Sunsets here are truly amazing. The entire sky turns a myriad of colors reflected against the clear waters that positively sparkle. We took the sunset fishing excursion and selected 2 from our box of catches for Como to cook for lunch the next day. The kitchen did a wonderful job and I've never had finish that tasted anywhere near as good. Walking along the boardwalk to and from our room, we frequently saw rays and reef sharks playfully twirling in the shallow waters. Having 33 rooms also meant that even at full occupancy we never once felt the place was overcrowded
Cocoa Island castaway”
What can i say? This has got to be one of the best, if not THE BEST beach holiday my husband and I have been to and we are the ultimate BEACH BUMS. Cocoa Island certainly delivered on many fronts; from the impeccable care and service from our personal butler, Muru to Gustini, the friendly guest relations officer, to the smiley lad who cleaned our villa every day. There are a 150 resorts to choose from in the Maldives but i wanted something private, personal and luxurious. With only 33 villas on this tiny strip of sand, privacy and quiet bliss was what we got. And the attention and care from all the service staff was spotless. My husband and i felt so spoiled. We booked a one bedroom villa and thankfully we did. It was huge. A spacious indoor and outdoor bathroom, a living room, plush bed and a big sundeck to lounge around in, spot baby sharks and crabs. We also spent inordinate amounts of time gazing out into that gorgeous open water and skies, the colour of azure blue. It may be a tiny island but there are plenty of things to do. We gym-ed, we spa-ed (SO GOOD!!), we used the hydroptherapy pool, we snorkelled every day and just took long walks around the island, catching sunrise, and sunset. It was incredibly romantic and peaceful and i wished we had more time there. There is only one restaurant, Ufaa but we weren't bored with the food choices available. My personal favourites from the lunch menu are the lobster roll, burger and soft shell crab jumbo roll. Trust me, i'm a picky eater and i love my food. For the dinner menu, you can't go wrong with jobfish, pasta (the alaskan crab risotto), and the themed dinner nights. The quality and presentation of the food from breakfast to dinner was always outstanding, truly befitting of a five star luxury resort. Cocktails were also done very well. As much as I try to avoid carbs, their homemade breads (presented with every lunch and dinner) are hard to resist.
price is high and difficult to book if i want to .”
We are so impressed about the quiet environment and very beautiful sky no matter day or night.
This was an amazing stay. Would recommend to anyone looking for perfection! loved it!!!
