Fatima City Center hotels & places to stay

Please do not wait. If you decided go to Fatima. This hotel is your 1st choice. This is the first for me been to Fatima and this hotel was awesome. Location, Food, Staff, Service..... everything was great and unforgettable. 3 minutes walking distance to the square and the basilica. You won't be regret staying in this hotel. I will definitely go back to this hotel.

We are four friends traveling from Barcelona to Madrid to Salamanca then our fourth stop is Fatima.. After a long trip we are surprised to see a very good hotel which costs almost the same with the previous 3 hotels from 3 different countries. Entering the room, we are amazed to see a fruit basket which refreshed our long journey. The room is very comfortable especially the pillows. The bathroom is big with complete facilities. The location is very near the Basilica and also near the bus station. The downside is the food, hopefully there would be more choices especially for Asian tourists.

We stayed at the Lux Fatima Park Hotel and Suites for two nights while on a month long driving vacation through Portugal. Our one bedroom suite was very clean and provided plenty of space. There was a small kitchenette in the suite but no utensils, dishes or cookware. This was not a problem for us as there were good restaurants nearby and we had not planned to prepare our own meals. There was a flat screen television that offered English channels in the bedroom but unfortunately there was no television in the living room. The desk staff were welcoming and eager to provide travel advice on Fatima. Parking was conveniently provided underground in the same complex. The Fatima Shrine is just a short walk down the street. An excellent breakfast was provided in the adjacent Lux Hotel with plenty of selection, both hot and cold. We were comfortable and well provided for in this very pleasant and upscale facility.

The hotel is very neat and close to the shrine as the town. We were welcomed by the nice staff at the hotel who showed us to a very clean room. The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the bus station and you will cross the shine to get to it. A great experience !

Loved this place. Unlike other apartment style hotel I've stayed, someone actually was in the building during check-in/out hours. I barely speak Spanish, however, Fatima, the lady helped our check in process was really helpful. Had a nice view from the apartment corridor It is located next to the police station, so I was worried we'll hear lots of sirens, but it was very quiet throughout the day. Best apartment style hotel I've stayed so far.

I really enjoyed the super nice and friendly staff. The room is interesting, rectangular with little windows. I was there for the Sanctuary of the Fatima. The walk from Luz to the Sanctuary is only 10 mins but at night if you join the Candlelight procession, make sure you bring a torch (at least your mobile phone). It is pitch black, no street lighting

It was spotlessly clean and comfortable. I loved the breakfast and staff was super friendly and helpful. It's a 10-min walk to the sanctuary. So it's well located. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and would come back to this hotel if I visit Fatima again.

Stay was pleasant. Room as stuffy without ac. If window was kept open it was too noisy to sleep. Good location to the Fatima plaza. Nice easy walk . Value for 1 night stay .

We are very much satisfied with the service, cleanliness and warmth of the personnel. The location is perfect, 5 mins walk to the Sanctuary, 10 mins to the bus station. Just as we wanted I to be. Breakfast was also more than enough. We will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

The hotel is across the street from the Sanctuary of Fatima. There is free parking under the hotel. The room was new, big, comfortable and clean, with good black-out curtains. No fridge inside the room. The breakfast was not included in our stay, so we had it in another place. There is free wifi and wired internet at the tourist information center a few meters from the hotel (at the hotel, only paid internet). There you can ask for the caves around Fatima's area and other interesting attractions.

Driving to this hotel by the GPS guiding would end up with a deadlock, repeatedly, GPS leading us only to the nearby number (no. 59 and 71), but not the exact one (no. 69). We found out afterward, no. 69 was on the other side of street. It is nice to have lift service at this three-stroey hotel. Room size was reasonable, the only inconvenience was the relatively small shower area, that the spilling out water could easily wet the floor. A decent breakfast was served at the basement café.

We had a wonderful stay at this family-run hotel. The hotel is run by a super nice mother, her son and daughter-in-law. From our arrival, they made us feel like staying with a family. The family room was great for 3 of us. The room was super clean. The facility looks like just recently renovated. The bathroom was modern and spotless. The breakfast was wonderful and included home-made cakes. The hotel is near shoppes and restaurant. It is within walking distance to the Sanctuary/basilica. We had such a wonderful stay at the Lagos.

First of all, this hotel is further in from the main road, down a slope. The nearer one to the main road is Hotel Santa Maria, a 4-star. However, when I checked online it says the hotel (Hotel Santa Maria) is like 2.8km away (confused). We had dinner in Hotel Santa Maria and we felt welcomed. I'm quite disappointed with this particular hotel mainly because of the two lady workers I encountered. First the receptionist that never smiled and just gave me sour face all the time. No matter whether I smile or make request or expressing gratitude. But she turned to another couple (who spoke maybe Portuguese or at least not Asian like me, I speak English) and smiled broadly. Secondly, another lady that gave me a really "cold" stare when we wanted to go out at 6:30am to attend the 7am mass. The main door of the hotel is locked. We were of course unaware that there is "curfew". Of course, it is inevitable for her to wake up and open the door for us. Later on, when we went for the breakfast, we were the only couple that were asked for room number for "verification" purposes. I don't feel welcome in this hotel and it is disappointing considering this is a land for Catholic pilgrimage. I mainly have issues with the staffs's attitude and a comment on the distance that we have to walk from the main road. Other than that, the room is quite lovely.

Great stay at the hotel. Beautiful decoration and lovely staff. The location ideal. Breakfast was ok. The room was smaller compared to Lisbon for 3 adults.

The rooms are very clean, the place is near the shrine and a small grocery store. The owner is so nice! I would definitely recommend the place. There are no facilities but we didn't mind because we didn't go to Fatima to swim in a pool or work out in a gym.
