Girona City Center hotels & places to stay

Unfortunately, by the time we found the hotel, we were so tired and frustrated that we only had time for a bite to eat and bed. We found Girona a very difficult city to drive in and getting to our hotel even more so. We did not have a bathroom in our room which was very inconvenient. The room was nice, the staff opened breakfast early for us which we really appreciated and breakfast was good. It was not a good choice for us!

Great value for money place a short taxi ride from the bus/train station and a short walk from the beautiful old town, which was lovely. The staff were very nice, the room was better than I expected, clean and comfortable, not got a bad word to say about it, I'd happily stay there again on future trips to Girona.

Pleasant enough stay for a night. The building is quite old and in need of some refurbishment, but clean and no major problems.The desk wasn't manned most of my stay, so may be an issue if you have any problems or want to leave any luggage in the building after check-out. For non-smokers, be aware that there are small balconies outside of the rooms where some of the guests smoke which can mean the smell drifts into the rooms.

The hotel was well located for our visit to Girona, the underground car park and lockable bike cage was exactly what I wanted. The only downside for us was the restaurant, we decided to eat in one evening. The soup arrived in a cold dish and the main course was on cold plates. The steak was inedible and the requested chicken dish arrived was incorrect. After waiting 15 minutes for the chicken dish to be served we decided to abandon the meal, to be fair the maitre de did not charge us for the food received. The staff were excellent, knowledgeable and very helpful. We would stay there again if we return to Girona.

The Pension is located in the older part of Girona near one of the access points for wall. The pension is quiet, secure and close to all the main sites in Girona.

We were pleasantly surprised that the hotel was newly refurbished and therefore bright and clean. Basic facilities but we were only staying for one night. The hotel was not able to give us a double bed although there wre rooms available(not sure why) but the 2 single beds put together was comfortable. The room was larger than we expected, adequate for 2 persons to move around, large bathroom. Did not have blackout curtains so the light came in very early in the morning. Had to for use of the safe in the room, something I expect to be included in the price. Reception was helpful with local maps and taxi arrangements. Great breakfast for 8 Euros. Great location and a 5 min walk across the river to the old city.

good location. in the centre of girona, very close to train station and bus station. also close to the city centre and old town. located in a quiet street. air conditioning. room was quite small but had a large bed. perfect for single traveller or for 2 people who aren't going to spend much time in the room. staff were great - very friendly and helpful.

Near Catedral de Girona. So you can hear the bell every 15 min., but it doesn't matter about sleep. In the middle of the old city of Girona, location very nice and beautiful apartment. Historic apartment, I like it.

2 mins walk from Girona's Tourism Office, B.O. is lovely and rather quiet despite its central location - walking distance to most of the top sights and restaurants. Javi is amazing, sharing stories of his city, and always helpful with directions and restaurant tips. Try the incredible range of homemade jams! Thank you, Javi ;)

Never heard of Girona until my friends invites me to their wedding there and thank goodness or that as this place is no less than spectacular. I highly recommend visiting and staying at Girona housing if you're looking for a prime location. A lady was waiting for us upon arriving and handed over the keys and showed us around the apartment. Apartment was clean, and had a full stocked kitchen (utensils, plates, cup, coffee maker, pots, etc). There was a balcony although not much of a view, however we spent majority of our time in the historical area which is no more than a 5 minute walk from the apartment. Had a blast, I would recommend Girona housing to anyone.

The location is perfect - right on the edge of the old city, which is small enough to walk through in a few minutes. The apartment feels like an IKEA showroom - the furnishings don't have much character but are very functional. The apartment was very clean and equipped with everything we needed. The apartment is not spacious but was totally adequate for our group of two adults and two young children. The owner was very responsive to messages.

Agoda used to have standards though this place looks charming in the pictures and is a very good location it is not recommended. Checking time at 5pm checkout time at 12 noon assignable to clean for 5 hours but is not so clean. Towels and bedsheets old and hard because if very strong detergent which I worried was going to give me rashes as I slept. Maybe you could describe as 2 star and the main and only benefit is location. Sorry I would tell people to stay away but I am used to staying in 4 star plus accomodations. Parking in public lot which Leona recommends is not far but full of thrives which we learnt after having our window smashed in and bags stolen. Which when at the police station said is very common.
