The Hills Bukittinggi Hotel is good hotel when you booked with mountain view. In the morning when you open your window you will get amazing views. They have a cafe for breakfast with good food and great ambients. The most important thing, Their location is very good. You can walk for 5 minutes to Jam Gadang Tower. Try at the mornint at 5.30 am and bring your camera. It is best time to take picture. And only 15 minutes to walk to Ngarai Sianok. If you go in the morning you will see amazing view. The valley stil cover with the haze, many monkeys.

Location: A nice-four-star hotel in the middle of Bukittinggi. Very close to main spots of tourism such as Jam Gadang, Pasar Bukittinggi, Ngarai Sianok and Gua Jepang. Location rate:8 Room: The room is neat and clean. We stayed in room 201 which is in the corner of the building and got 2 sides excellent view to Ngarai Sianok and the city of Bukittinggi. Beautiful carpet and curtain, both of us loves it! However the TV position is not normal. The flat 32 inch tv located in the side wall of the room, it means we have to turn our head right when we were watching TV from the bed! Available channel of the TV only about 6, and most are local broadcast with blur screen. I have no idea if this condition happens on other rooms. Very dissapointing for a 4-star hotel.Room Rate: 9, TV rate: 4! Bath Room: The bathroom is clean and he shower is nice. But sometimes we have to wait for minutes to have hot water from the shower. bathroom rate: 7 Food: Nice food both local and international menu with so many variety. Delicious! Food rate: 8 Service: hospitable and polite hotel staffs. rate: 7 Conclusion: a recommended hotel to stay in Bukittinggi. The price is affordable for a **** hotel. The location is good, and the room is nice and the food is delicious. but make sure you check the tv if you want to spend a most of your time in the room.

Room not sound proofing when people outside talking can hear very clear. If room facing road there is big noisy when the peak hour begin. Very Basic there is no tea making facilities, but there is always a coffee and tea available at the lobby i guest it for welcome drink and i always ask for coffee there the staff give for free for gesture. The wifi just ok not high speed but still ok for communication using internet. This hotel seen renovated few house to become hotel and no elevator, if room at 3rd floor need to use staircase. The staff and the service is great. Worth to pay, basic need with economy rate

the staff were friendly. and there is a live music on saturday located in city center so every tourist spot is within walking distance hot water tea coffee aircon tv stayed for 2 days the minus is the steep stairs only but aside from that everything is okay

Not as expected. Was given different unit , not as per picture. Old building and a bit run down. Disappointed coz no water heater and they don't even provide toiletries. No sofa provided because the living hall is too cramp. Breakfast was good though , however it was packed and sent to your unit. No dining area in our 3BR unit. Imagine that you have to seat on the floor to have your breakfast.

Lima' hotel is best option to stay if we very money minded dan want get something different experience with other hotel. Im very happy staying here and a lots of goods thing i get here. from their staff to thei facilities are in good..

I just stayed for 1 night, the staff welcomed us when our car had just arrived. Good room (enough for short stay because not too spacious), hot water 24hours, clean, good service and very polite. Just 10minutes walk to Gadang clock. They only has 8 rooms so they can serve you better even remember their guests name and can remind their guest to not skip breakfast at their roof top restaurant. Excellent for 1 star hotel, and agoda can give you cheaper rate than their standard rate. This hotel exactly between asia hotel and lima' hotel at kesehatan street.

This hotel has great character and beautiful antique furniture. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was very nice and modern. We had the most inexpensive room and it did not have a window to the outside. However it did have a large window onto a kind of terrace or sitting area which was sunny and bright. The bathroom had plenty of hot water, but I only discovered this after taking a cold shower, because the hot was to the right instead of to the left as is usual. They should either fix this or put up a sign. The breakfast was very meagre, tea and white bread warmed with chocolate sauce. However the architecture, interior decoration and spaciousness of the living areas is outstanding. After staying in standard hotels, this place was a refreshing surprise.

although quite far from the center of bukittinggi - the jam gadang, the hotel is still within the main township of bukittinggi. most impressive is the hospitality - friendly and very courteous. you can get advice from the staff as to where to get the best bargain for shopping. the room is spacious and clean, food is delicious and the cafe is cozy. you won't hear noises outside at night which will keep you fresh the next day.

We arrived at Bukit Tinggi at late noon.. When we enter and went to the reception desk, our room keys were already prepared since it been booked online and it take us less than 10 min to be in the room...It's so relief to get a rest after a long day trip from Padang..The hotel is very near to Pasar Atas and Jam Gadang. So convenience for people who like shopping and sight seeing...

We booked two rooms one for me and wife and the other for my mom. Both ladies enjoyed the simple facilities provided by the hotel. My elderly mom was happy as the hotel lift worked properly so no problem for her to go up and down despite being assigned to the top floor as per our request. The breakfast was excellent simple and delicious. It was enough to give us strength to shop around the whole morning till we went for a break for a sumptuous Padang lunch. Indeed we had a great day enjoying our shopping-holiday and the hotel uplifted our spirit.

During the four-day stay we were the only foreigners in hotel. The hotel is located close to all attractions, including the tunnel of Japanese, Chinese wall. The staff were very helpful and booked us a bus to Padang and Lake Maninjau at prices much cheaper than the travel agencies offered. Maybe it's because we were tourist season.The breakfasts were very delicious, other dishes each day, but at 7 am set guests (probably Malaysians, Indonesians) was in the restaurant. In the restaurant you can dine in style. I would recommend tea with egg - a delicacy in the region. I would recommend this hotel definitely. Thank you very much for your help.

Located 10 minutes walk to clock tower. a couple of local restaurant and glossary shop nearby. Simple room with hot shower, but hot water was running out during peak hour. No hair dryer available. No Wifi available. Taste is not bad in breakfast buffer but limited choices. It takes around Rp350,000 by meter taxi from airport. but in return to the airport, hired car with other traveler cost more cheap only Rp 50,000 to airport which is recommended and arranged through kind front staff.

taxi from airport wrongly sent us to nikita putra hotel and guess what... mr syahril (manager) of nikita himself came to fetch us to a correct nikita hotel. so next time please mention nikita jalan sudirman. nikita is in the city center. nice hotel but the furniture is a bit old. the staff is very friendly. and the best this is... 1. food - fast food, just next to hotel. restaurant - just across the road got 2 'rumah makan padang'. even shop selling 'kueh' is just round the corner. 2. masjid - just behind the hotel. 3. pasar atas and jam gadang - a must visit is a walking distance (500m). 4. transport - just stand by the roadside in front of hotel... surely lot of 'angkutan' or 'kereta kuda' will stop!! since this is my first visit, i hire a car from a hotel and the supir took us around bukitinggi as a driver and a travel guide. took us to where to buy things at lower price. overall i enjoy staying in this hotel except that its a bit noisy at night.

We stayed three nights and at the beginning were a little disappointed with the room. There was no shower curtain (but the staff immediately organised one) and the entrance light could not be switched off (problem was solved by taking out the bulb). The bed was good, but the floor (carpet) was quite dirty. The room had a window towards a interior yard, which made it very noisy and people could look inside. There are suites available that open towards the outside, but there is a construction site right next to the hotel, so this may not be the best option. Breakfast was ok. The staff was really friendly and very helpful.

I booked this hotel for my driver, Based on his review that The hotel clean and location in the centre of the city. AC was not cool. Need some improvement in the room, but anyway it was value for money.

Rooms are small but clean, located very near to Jam Gadang, close to shops and food outlets. No lift, the stairs are quite steep, not much space for parking. Not suitable for older guests. Breakfast is just average.

there are a few "similar"names for Denai Hotel, even the driver who is a local confused sometimes. We end up at a wrong hotel before being redirected to the correct ones.
