Pleasant stay at Haad Tian Beach Resort”

We stayed a little bit over a week at the Haad Tian Beach Resort in one of the entree level bungalows. The surroundig was pretty tranquil. When we wanted more action we rented the resort's scooter. The Thai and international dishes were very good although not the cheapest on the island. The staff was cool. Some days more enthausiastic than others. The pool is very nice and the pool area offers enough space to enjoy the sun. We recommand this place for people who want to relax on the island.

Very nice bungalows with sea view”

    Very nice and quiet

I was there during the Full Moon Party and I wanted a quiet place : I found a good place with Haad Tian Beach Resort. It is in the north so you must have a motorbike if you want to visit the island and go to different beaches. For thoses who want to party, there are cheap taxi available from the resort.

    Very quiet and peaceful”

nice pool, good staff, good food

my husband and i stayed 3 nights total. we have to extend another night because we just had a motorbike accident so we stayed around the resort probably for all 3 nights couldn't go out. it is out from the city and beach area but the resort has a beautiful awesome pool facing the sea, the water is shallow like a kiddy pool during low tide and it is just a beautiful site!! the staff that works there are awesome!! they are like one big family so helpful and kind. we would hang out by the pool in the dining area most of the time to get the wireless and when we are back in the room my husband plays the guitar and i would swing on the hammock~ we had a fan room in the middle of july and i wouldn't switch it to an air-con room if it was free! the weather was so pleasant it wasn't hot, the weather was just amazing! i would definitely stay there again!

best pool, great views of and walking on the beach”

the beach isnt so much for swimming here, but you can walk around and watch it. this resort is the only one on this beach. the resort is nice, has some swings in the trees, a great communal restaurant area, no wifi in the rooms (which we like!) and famiillies to stay. It is very nice and quiet.

pretty beach, lovely staff but shabby premises”

A lovely bay marred by multiple rooms in concrete construction that scar the landscape and looks like it's imposing on the bay. The resort is a dream for anyone with a family because of its sheltered bay and the lovely staff - together with a nice child-friendly swimming pool. However the travellers booking it need to be aware that there are broken concrete tables and benches on the property and the fixtures and fittings are in dire need of an upgrade. Flourscent lighting throughout, more fitting for a morgue rather than such a heavenly secluded spot.

    Your own thai paradise”

Your own thai-paradise! Intimate family-runned resort with private beach and nice bungalows. All the comforts available: thai massages, good food (european and thai), very friendly staff (Chang and his family are great!), air conditioner, taxi services, touristic info and organized tours. The position is perfect if you want to visit Koh Phangan west side (20 min of bike from Thong Sala, 10 from Chaloklum). Not the best if you just want to party in Haad Rin (you better not!).

    It's a tourist trap!”

This property is located in a very dificult and hard to get area, the road got washed away with the rain, even the taxi driver refused to drive us down to the reception area, so we had to walk at night with out light on a muddy road, is far away from restaurants bars and convenience stores. The Bungalows need mejor repairs. (no hot water, doors falling off the hinghes, poor lights in common areas, stinky matresses pillows and sheets, insects everywhere) Family owned and operated restaurant with high prices menu.

Perfect for quiet travel and private”

the staff, the food, the location

I had an amazing time here. It of course depends on what you want, and I found what I was looking for at Haad Tian: Quiet, relaxed, private beach, few people, good food, great staff, private comfy bungalow sea side, close to town but not in it. plus the price for what I got out of this couldn't be better! Highly recommended when you are looking for the same thing.

just whar we where looking for”

    location , sunset, quietness

it all depends on what you want. we stayed here because we wanted somewhere to get awa from it all we didnt want all the party life if we did we would have stayed over the other side of the island. what we wanted was a nice beach bungalow with a nice view that i can swing in a hammock and have a few beers and that what we got. the sunset is one of the best ive ever seen and will alwayys stay in my memory forever. i had booked a garden buungalow but once we got here we moved to a beach bungalow instead it was well worth the upgrade. the rooms are a bit simplistic but like i said ealier thats what we were looking for

    Lovely and nice”

Food, next to the beach, clean

We stayed for a few nights, but we had to upgrade the room, because the cheapest room had no hot water. The Resort is very nice and next to the beach. The bungalows are okay... the bathroom could be cleaner and better. We didn't like the 5 dogs in the resort, because at night they're sleeping on the restaurant seats and benches. And there was also dog-doo in the grass and nobody cleaned it up for days....

    Relaxation, quiteness and good vibes”

The beach/pool, the view, and the comfort/cosy

In a very party oriented city like ko phangan, it was nive to stay away from the center, surrounded by peaceful beaches and nices places to eat. The hotel facilities are spacious and intimate, leaving you with plenty of private moments in the beach or in the pool. Restaurant was nice, much variety, with a inconsistent quality though, but is really inviting because you can seat in front of e swimming pool. It is a 7 out of 10. Beautiful sunsets, and lovely staff. It is a hoel that invites you to stay there mostpf the time, because the road to get in and out of there is a tough one, and beause the place is so comfortable and cosy. The room is minimalistic, but it suits the environment. Staying indoors is the last thing you want to do in such a nice environment.

stunning hotel & lovely sea view”

a private hotel, relaxing location, comfortable bungalows with hammocks

Haad Tian Beach Resort is a perfect hotel to stay. Good for couples & families. You can relax in a hammock in the beach garden while reading an interesting book. Or you can have fun with friends in the nice swimming pool. The only downfall to this location is that the beach is not very good for swimming because of sea hedgehogs. There are plenty of bars & local restaurants there. All in all, very lovely.

    private bay, quiet and beautiful”

the food from the restsurant was some of the best we tasted. The location was very private, set in its own bay and the staff were all very friendly and attentive.

The resort was very pretty and private but it meant that it was difficulty to get out and about if you didn't have your own transport. Haad Yau is a ten minute walk away on a cut through track ( walking only ) unfortunately because of rain at night and a very steep dark hill we didn't venture out to other restaurants but it wasn't necessary as the food from the restaurant was amazing with a large menu. It felt like the type of restaurant where food was made with care and not just for profit and some if the best food we ate all holiday was eaten here. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I would recommend it if you want a chilled tranquility.

    Great location very quiet”

Family run, lovely people and beautiful sunsets!

haad tian is beautiful! quiet location, the beach is very clean and the people that run the business make you feel relaxed and welcomed! rooms are tidy, but small. all look out over the sea with your own personal hammock on the decking you can't go wrong. the only downfall to this location is that the nearest shop is about a 20 minute walk up a small mountain. although the resort offers almost everything you could need anyway. bikes are available to rent but be careful going up and down the drive way. all in all, very lovely.

Great value hotel with helpful staff.”

Very clean and well presented. Great value and helpful staff.

after arriving at the resort we were upgraded from a fan room to an air con room for the same price. the beds were huge but had an uncomfortable piece of wood down the centre - made from 2 single beds! staff were very helpful when trying to book trips, taxis etc. we liked the location because it was right on the beach but a bit away from the main pub strip. we were a bit disappointed when the bar/restaurant was closed at 9pm on a wednesday night but luckily the resort next door still had a bar on the beach open.

    Nice hotel - secluded ”

View is amazing, nice size rooms, staff is super friendly

They advertise free wifi, but it is only available near the pool main hotel area, unless your room is right near the pool you won't be able to access it in the rooms. They offer lockers for personal belongings (bring your own lock)- I ran into a problem where I went to the Full Moon Party and put my room key in my locker since it is pretty massive in size, and when we returned around 5am, the room with the lockers was locked so I had to wake up the owner to get in Definitely secluded location. You will need to rent a bike to get anywhere. Typical price is 200 baht a day The view and cove the hotel is on is amazingly gorgeous. The hotel is located at the bottom of a hill that is very rocky and scary and dangerous to go up and down. I walked it 2x thinking there was stuff around, super steep. They have snorkel equipment at the bar you can ask to use

    Beautiful Isolated location ”

Fantastic sunsets, great pool, friendly staff, tranquil

I stayed here for a week and loved it, it was cheap but its not the place to be if u want to party a lot. It's out in the middle of nowhere and u need a bike to get to and from the place but its ideal if your looking to get away from it all. I spent a lot of time reading listening to my own music and swinging in a hammock with a couple of chang. The sunsets are fantastic and the staff were only to hàppy to help anyway they could. I stayed in a beach bungalow which was really basic but that was my preference but there are family bungalows which look great with air on and tv's. I would recommend it to anyone who just wants to chill out for a bit

Budget bungalows in private beach resort.”

    Simple Bungalows. Location. Swimming Pool.

This place is difficult to get to but well worth the peace and quiet once you arrive. The resort has a private beach facing West with views to Ang Thom National Park. Beautiful sunsets. The swimming pool is big and clean. The bungalow we stayed in had basic amenities but had an un-obscured view of the ocean and marine park. A few coconut palms shade the shoreline.

    Location, frozen margaritas, sunsets

at the end of a whirlwind trip around the world in 80 days, haad tian was exactly what i needed! it was quiet, secluded and relaxing. the frozen margaritas that deng makes are divine! the bungalow was basic (no flush for the toilet, cold water only), but it was comfortable enough and i had fabulous views. the sunsets at haad tian are a daily event as everyone turns out to watch. well worth a visit if you're looking for a quiet escape.
