Decent enough”
The SoHo Hampton is decent and affordable to stay at if the location is desireable. There aren’t too many other reasonable priced locations. It is a little worn but staff are nice as in the bar.

Amazing value for money”
A pretty decent room and (very) basic breakfast with eggs and meat, plus fruit and carbs in a wonderful part of town for a price that doesn't break the bank. This hotel is terrific given the price tag. Ask for a more spacious room (rooms ending in 03 and 08 seem to be a little bigger?).

The Little Hotel that Could”
For what this hotel charges, they really do try to deliver value. The rooms are actually bigger than many five star hotels that I've stayed in in New York. (That means they are still smallish rooms by global standards, but for the price and location, it's amazing). They also try to deliver a basic breakfast - not just toast and waffles, but ALSO a selection of prepared eggs, breakfast meat, yoghurt, etc. And they have a basic, tiny but functional gym. For the price we paid for this hotel, given it is in New York SOHO, it was truly amazing value. Nice job, Hampton

generally alright. most essential taken care of. quieter at night. only dissatisfaction is that the housekeeper threw away my shoes box which had my cleaning kit in it. i only realised that the next day. the counter staff couldnt help and no apology given. on the good side, the evening counter staff had offered to pass me his empty shoes box.

we were surprised breakfast was included. Coffe was good and there have been efforts to offer healthy options oatmeal and skim milk. The staff were good with our mixed up confirmation and everything worked well.

free drinks (coffee, tea, Hot chocolate) at the reception
It was ok. I wish i had taken another hotel. The staff could be more friendly and helpful. They dont have adaptors, at the breakfast they dont always have bacon, bagel so they change it for some other things. The air conditioner couls be a more quiet. Duvet was not nice.

Overall great experience!”
Great staff/service. Breakfast area/variety. Clean.
Would definitely stay here again. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Probably the best service we've ever received . Rooms were a little small for family of four but super clean and comfortable. Overall excellent experience.

Comfortable, fuss-free, nice view”
Comfortable, clean, access to multiple Subway lines
The room was reasonably sized for the price. The room was clean (crisp, fresh sheets upon check-in), with a proper-sized wardrobe, in-room safe and a reasonably-sized desk to work on. The shower stall was spacious and while I would've liked more counter space around the sink, it wasn't unmanageable. I wasn't too keen on the Neutrogena toiletries (as, ironically, my skin is severely allergic to the brand) but that wasn't too much of an issue as I had packed my own full set of toiletries. I had a city-view room on the 15th floor, which looked out onto the Empire State Building in the distance. Very pretty. Sleep quality was.. mixed. While the fluffy King-sized bed was lovely to sleep on (and do work on, with the laptop tray provided) the hotel seemed to be on an exceptionally popular route for police cars, fire trucks and ambulances to go by every hour or two, sirens blaring. A note to make here is that taxis and hired cars weren't very keen on dropping me off / picking me up at the hotel entrance itself, due to Watts St leading straight into the Holland Tunnel, thereby being congested almost continuously. They'd almost always drop me off at either the corner of the block, or one block away. Again, not a huge problem, but something to take into account nonetheless. The buffet breakfast was decent. The selection was not huge, but more than sufficient with a waffle station, three hot food selections, fruit, cereals & yoghurt, toast/bread/pastries. My favourite things about the hotel were: - the 24-hour complimentary hot drinks station in the lobby - hot coffee (regular, strong and decaf) as well as teas and hot chocolate - that the hotel is within 5 minutes walk of three different Subway lines, and a short 10-15 mins walk away from Union Square or Chinatown. All in all, a good stay. Would definitely consider it a repeat stay if I have business in that part of town again.

Comfortable rooms, friendly staff.”
Very friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable beds. Close to Soho.
We liked our stay here except for the noise from the street. Our window faced down on a major street right before it goes through the tunnel. VERY noisy. Ask for a room away from the street. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay. Comfortable.

Location, Room Size & Staff
This is a no frills hotel. Basic, but the location is wonderful. Staff is friendly. I was bothered by the fact that all breakfast items were served on plastic and/or styraform plates and cups. Such a waste and bad for the environment. I think Hampton Inn should look into a more environmentally friendly way to serve their guests like using non-disposable items (or at least paper items!)
