Good location. Near to halal food and shin okubo station.. Room is big enough for 4 of us, staff is very helpfull. The only thing dissapointed us is we did inform that we will arrive early morning to keep our luggage but theres no one at reception counter...waited for 2 hours...
Location is good, near two JR station, many super markets and restaurants. And it is closed to Shinjuku. The room is small, especially the bathroom, but all I need could be found in the room. However, if you have special request or looking for staffs, things would get difficult. During my stay, staff could only be found during check in & check out time. Agoda's message or telephone could not reach them. To sum up, the location was good, and I still had a great time cooking in Japan.
it is reasonable place to stay but not really worth it.”
Ok but it is close to Shinjuku and on a busy train line.
Spacious and clean”
I had a great time staying at hanabi. I had an easy access to the train station. There is a nearby laundry shop. The room was clean. 👍 The kitchenette is a plus i can cook my own food. I save lots of cash because of cooking. Highly recommend this place to people who are on a budget trip to tokyo.
Everything seemed ok, but it's not sound proof, so it's kind of noisy. It's my worst experience staying in a hotel like this, i won't be returning as the staff didn't return my passport after i checked in. During check out, my passport wasn't return either. I found out when i was on the way to the airport. Called to the hotel and the staff told me that she was going to mail my passport over, what a joke! Please think twice before you book it.
great location, very thin mattress, helpful staff”
Good location. 100 yen store nearby. Few steps from the station, a lot of restaurant, convenience stores, tax free store. Minus for the very very thin mattress n very small bathroom. Clean n spacious room
Nice stay at Tokyo!”
I'd read varying reviews about this hotel before I booked it for our trip to Tokyo on November 2015, but in the end I tried my luck on this hotel and how right I was to choose Hanabi hotel as a place to stay. This for sure is value for money as we can gather our family together in one traditional style room, complete with tatami and futon. We got cooking utensils, microwave, rice cooker, vacuum cleaner, new towels daily. The bathroom was capsule. LOL but it's not a problem as I could still cramp myself inside the tub and enjoyed warm bath. The location is super! Very close to Shin-Okubo station (which is in the Yamanote line and if you use JR Pass u can board this line free from big station such as Tokyo and Shinjuku). Just a blink of walk and you can get Aeon minimart, McD and the korean neighborhood offered many delicacies. I did not have any complain with the futon. We all could sleep soundly during the night. The building is old and the keeper seemed like not there all the time. You kinda self-service. So if u want a fancier place and full service, I dont think it will satisfy you. For me, definitely will come back.
This hotel is OK for traveler”
I think It's ok for traveller who want the place to rest at night. Room is not large and Bathroom is so small. staff has hospitallity and kindness. You can purchase things on japanese site and send it to this hotel.
Our stay was quite comfortable as the room's always being cleaned daily. the tatami mats were pretty much comfortable. the toilet was a bit small but you shouldn't expect much. There's a lot of convenience stores and restaurants nearby.
Not bad condition, and tatami was comfortable. However, they over-booked at the first day. And they have very weird system. The different size of rooms can be same price. For example, we got very small room for 4 person and that room was same size as room for 2 person. So we complained, they gave bigger size room for 4 person, for same price. They said this is normal. Both small room and bigger room are for 4 person.
Small room, small bathroom, very japanese style hotel
4 nights stay”
We rent 2 rooms. The larger room very convenience. The only disappointed is the room for 4 person doesn't come with the toilet seat that spray. Other than that everything are great.
Quite dirty, towels are rock hard, must have been used over 10 years. Very hard to get a taxi. Not recommended if you travel with young kids. Only positive thing is the staff. Both front desk staff are very helpful.
We discovered that many nearby hotels has their displayed room rate of 9000 Yen per night
Simple Japanese accomodation”
simple and comfortable.
Very disappointed as it was a 2 star hotel. ”
Toilet was so small & no space to wipe body after shower & no space to put clothing or towel
Neat little Japanese tatami experience ”
Interesting little Japanese style accommodation. Great proximity to shin okubo and Korean town.
Good staff , great servic”
We all 5 persons. The room was good, we can cook in the room but there are not indoor slippers, felt cold. Location of the hotel is great, easy to find and nearby train station. The staff is nice. He can speak English well ! And also, the day we checked out was a raining day. The staff gave me two umbrellas, very thank you~ Will come again!!
the front office guy who checked us in was very helpful. He was also very sensitive and thougtful to our needs, knowing that we are muslim travellers and recommended a Halal take out just nearby. He is also always smiley and very pleasant. thank you for being very hospitable! We truly enjoyed our stay.
