After a long journey from Germany of about 22 hours we reached this island on the far northern part of the islands. We were greeted by the manager and kids in their sunday dress and the holiday was full of excitement. Good fresh food from the garden and lobster every day. We were only missing the good glas of wine during meal as this island is non alcohol. You can go however to a close island resort and get some beer there. At the end we where very happy and enjoyed the healthy life style. Can only recommend this place if you look for a Robinson Crusoe location. At the end 4 tourists on the island and 1500 locals, awesome!
Home Outside Home”
This is the place where you should be outside your home. Everything was perfect, including the beach and accomodation. Do expect to see children of Kelaa welcoming you to the island too. This is not a guest house. It is a Home outside your home.
On arrival we were met by our host, his staff and local children who presented us with flower garlands and led us up the beach to the guest house. How special was that? The sea was agua green and beach perfect. Our host Morsz was really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. He accompanied us on a snorkelling trip and guided us whilst swimming with manta rays--Another special memory. The coral and colourful fish were quite spectacular. We were treated to a Maldivian night of entertainment which was good, food was typical Maldivian and presented very well. All in all a very special place and if you are looking for peace and tranquility head north to the delightful Holiday Home Kelaa
10 nights holiday in Kelaa”
We got very nice welcome to the hotel. Location is close to the beach and in the corner of the village so shops football / beach colley fields are close by. Will recommend this place over the resorts as you will get to see the locals and the beach is superb too and you will see far less tourists too ;)
Awesome experience ”
You will be definitely amazed by this place. Unlike the resorts, you will be one of a few visitors on this beautiful island. My boyfriend and I stayed there for 8 days and there were plenty of activities we could do everyday. We went snorkelling, sunset fishing, biking, sometimes just stayed by the beach and relax. Its stunning to have a white sand beach and crystal clear water just a min away from the guest house. I like Kelaa even more than the tourist resorts because we got more local experience, eg local cafe and food. The staff, they are probably the most valuable asset. Super friendly, funny. They explained everything clearly and brought us to coffee. I really felt like I was staying in a friends place rather than a hotel. If you are looking for a luxury, spa, diving-everyday-trip, then this might not be the right place, but if you r looking for something different and amazing, this is absolutely the place to stay. Nazia is the chef and she made absolutely great curry. Dinner's always good. The thing is I stayed for 8 days and every breakfast was the same. I mean I like them but I got a bit bored after the fifth morning. however, for this price with breakfast included, I should have nth to complain. ;) Ashraf, Morsz and Thoriq are like friends. We had a lot of fun together! I'm already missing the place!
A 5 star guesthouse with the best hospitality.”
We are a mid-age couple from Hong Kong, had been to many resorts/guesthouses before, but this one is simply the best. Our itinerary is 6d5n, with 1st nite in Male, and the rest are in Holiday Home Kelaa. The 1st surprise we had is, by the time we landed, we had two staff from Kelaa to greet us.Later on, we found out that they are Ashraf (owner of the guest house) and his bro-in-law. They were kind enough to guide us from airport to Boutique Inn (despite they're from Kelaa). Next day, we fly to Hannimadoo, Mr Ashraf was in the airport to accompany us, and teach us some local history/customs. Once landed, another staff from Kelaa was there, to guide us to the speedboat. Altogether is a 3-4 hrs pleasant journey. Once arrived the island, Ahmed (aka Mors) had invited some pre-schoolers to give us some flowers and warm greetings. Another warm surprise. He gently walk us thru the facilities (kitchen,WiFi,bicycle) and the activities (snorkelling, diving, fishing,BBQ) on the island. He even gave us a mobile phone so we can call him whenever we need assistance. The room is big (~2-300 sq ft), is on the 1st floor with a nice sea view. On the 1st/2nd days, we went snorkel,am able to saw Manta, clown fish, snappers, turtles and even dolphin. Thanks to the great chef, Mrs Nasiya, we had wonderful meals everyday, using the best local ingredients. Fried rice and the coconut shake are thumbs-up. In one of the nite, Mors suggest us to have a romantic candle dinner in the beach. Everything was perfect. On the 3rd/4th day, we went diving w/ Meridis on Alidhoo island, our DM (Shaheem) took us to several sites with moderate currents that allow us to enjoy w/o any nervousness. All in all, this is simply the best place, either you just want to have fun, or relax, or romance in the most Maldivian way. They also have a Facebook page with constant updates. So stay tuned for more of their offerings.
Land of your dream”
It is an amazing experience I have ever had in my life. I like to travel and visited a lot of places. It was my 3rd visit to Maldives and before I stayed in resorts. It was also nice and peaceful, but sometimes other guests around little bit annoying. So this visit I decided to stay at guest house in one of local islands. I choose Holiday Home Kelaa first because of it's location – island lacated in the very north of country - in the Haa Alif atoll. The nature is really very different from other island – pristin, bright, fresh. House is located on the beach, you can even enjoy ocean view having your breakfast from the veranda or from your room. They have private beach area where you can swim and sunbathe Friendly and kind stuff. On arrival they give you flower garland and fresh cocnut. They make you feel like you are very special. The house looks pretty nice and cousy, comfortable room – I stayed in deluxe room. They have shower, hair drier, air condition, shower kit (shower gel and shampoo), towels. Patio and veranda are set in traditional maldivian style – huts from banana leaves, local chairs from rope called “joly”. Darts and table games are available. Small souvenir shop is there, you can find traditional maldivian arts and crafts. Local and international food are available. They offer a set menu or you can also make an individual request. Fresh fruits, fresh juices. Romantic diinner on the beach. Barbeque on the patio. You can rent a bicycle and ride to a village – local people are very nice and open minded, everybody speak english. Island is very big, many fields, wild beaches, jungles, coconut tries Hotel offer different excursions – fishing trip, trip to nearby islands – Baraa or Uthimu which are known as a most historical part of Maldives – there is a palace and fort of royal family who in 16th century return independence from Portuguese conquer. Transfer from Male - 50 minutes flight by domestic airplane and 20 min by spead boat

Petit-déjeuner (inclus), déjeuner ($12) et dîner ($15) so
