Kind Staff, Definitely Accessible”
Hometown hotel is located along the hiway which can easily be found. Just a jeepney ride to Ceres Terminal if you're going to Lakawon and also a jeepney ride on the other side if you're going to SM Bacolod or Manokan Country. You may ask the van driver from the airport to drop you off in front of the hotel. We did a DIY Trip in Bacolod so we depend on directions of locals in the area, and staff happily assisted us and answered our queries.
Good price, staff not so friendly”
Place is nice and clean, location is great. There is a bar beside the hotel which gets loud at night but tolerable. My negative comment is that the receptionists are not so nice and are always on their phones.
STAY AWAY”
The only positive thing about this hotel is their location which is near to public transport and main road, but other than that, this place is a hell hole. There are far more better hotels with better facilities in the vicinity that you’d get more value from your money. I was fooled by their high ratings here in Agoda, so I feel like I have a social responsibility to share what we have experienced in this cesspool. We were first given a room that is near to the reception lobby - which usually has a lot of people and we can’t have a quiet rest because we can hear all the noise from the lobby. Okay, we can live with that. Then comes the myriad of problems with our twin room. THE BED SMELLS LIKE COCKROACH. I CANNOT SLEEP LIKE THAT! The bed sheets don’t look fresh - looks like someone already slept on them. There are only one small bedside table and one mini table with chair so I don’t know where are we gonna put all of our stuff. We have no choice but to put some on their stinky floor. No hangers - actually not enough space where we can hang our clothes. Their staff was kind enough though to let us transfer to another room of the same price bracket - which looks better than our previous room lest still plagued by a lot of issues! The room didn’t smell of cockroach but it smells like mold because the floor is kind of moist - later on the day we found out why. WHEN IT STARTED RAINING, THE RAINWATER IS DRIPPING FROM THE WALLS!!! What a disaster of a “hotel” - You should stop calling your place as such!!! The problems didn’t end there. There is a restaurant at the back of this hellhole - and the fume and smell of the food goes inside our room!!!! WE SMELL LIKE FOOD!!!! We just took a bath and haven’t gone out yet and we already smell like a carinderia! TOTAL DISASTER! DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR. STAY FAR AWAY!
Above average”
They have hot shower and cold aircon but the room smells like cockroaches. We found a live and dead cockroach inside our rooms. It also seems like they don’t change the shower curtains. The rooms are also not soundproof so you can’t rest well because the staff and other guests are so noisy.
Good location ”
This just a small hotel but it’s in the heart of the city and just beside Tom n Toms Coffee. Will not recommend if you’re looking for a fancy hotel, this is more of a budget-friendly hotel.
GOOD LOCATION”
The place is very near to everything. I went to bacolod to secure my passport at robinsons. This is lile 3 mins away to robinsonss. If you are planning to go there for passport processing. This place is a good choice. The staffs are very accomodating as well. They taught us to ride jeepney in the city.
Not a good hotel to anyone unless you are desperate ”
When we arrived at the hotel around 1:30pm the staff was surprised and I guess they weren't expecting us The room was not yet ready and there is a lot of cockroaches. They ask us to come back at 2pm. Only few minutes left before 2pm but they are not allowed us to check in. The receptionist wasn't recognized us when we come back by 2:30 so i explain again that we have a reservation via agoda. As we enter the room their is flies and smelly bathroom the aircon is not working properly. We ask them to fixed it but they told us that it will be okay later on! But sad to say the whole night it wasa warm and uncomfortable room.
In behalf of management, we thank you for your feedback. It is our thrust to address your concerns as a budget hotel. We will meet with our team to make sure you may have a better and happier stay next time. Again, we consider your feedback as room for improvement for us.
just right”
I like that it has 24-hour restaurant/bar and is beside tom N toms coffee which was also open 24 hours. I liked that they had a designated smoking area and is just along main highway. I don't recommend this for families with kids though unless only for sleeping in. The staff weren't very helpful as we had to go down 3x before we can login to wifi. I was sick at the time and requested to check-in early at 12, they didn't allow it as it was 2 hours ahead of schedule and will only let us in at 1. I was there waiting at 10am, I know full well the room was vacant already since nobody checkout until 1pm.
Very Noisy (Live Band at Night). Not conducive for sleeping. ”
The hotel itself and the facilities are okay. However, there is a bar located inside the hotel premises (that is leased out to a third-party). Since the bar has a live band playing every night, you'll hear the loud noise (music) even if you're inside your room already. The walls are thin because it's made of wood (Hardiflex) so the noise is really loud no matter what you do. Even if we already used earplugs, earphones and white noise to help us fall asleep, it left us sleepless the entire night. On the good side, the staff is very friendly and the management was considerate enough to refund the rest of our hotel stay since we only stayed there for a night and looked for another hotel.
noisy staff”
noisy staff and not very helpful at all. they watch tv and talk really loud at night. had to tell them off as we could not sleep with all the noise. teeny tiny rooms. bathroom needs good clean, tiles are grothy.
Not bad for its price”
Location is amazing. It is located in the main road so going to and from the hotel is easy. The staff were very nice and attentive. They also have a 24/7 bar so that is a major plus. This is technically a hostel so expect hostel level amenities
The location of the hotel is superb. However, rooms need upgrades and better waterproofing. ”
We booked a triple room in Agoda. However, upon our arrival, we were notified by their frontdesk that no triple room is available anymore, instead, they gave us 2 twin rooms. The room I got had leaks on the ceiling which damped the bed. They transfered me to another twin room which was older than my first room. It felt like the room was not used for quite some time already. If you are travelling on a budget, this hotel is good enough. It had the basic necessities.
Not so good”
The hotel good as location and cheap price but many things bad as bathroom it is so small and week water for bath or shaving also The bed cover is not clean , And when sleeping annoying from the Reception staff and also Voice of songs from live band in the night you cant sleep well , total this hotel so stupid so old there room and very week the Internet...
Good location”
Hometown is conveniently located a few steps away from a 24hr cafe, restaurants, a spa and public transportation. Across the street there is a 24hr convenience store and walking north for a few minutes will take you to the mall. Public transportation are taxis and jeepneys or you can opt for a grab car booking with pick up point directly at the hotel entrance. If you have private transportation, the hotel also allows parking in front or at the back. The hotel appears to be under renovation. The room is small but clean. Bathroom needs some work done but otherwise ok. Staff are friendly and approachable. Overall, I had a pleasant stay at Hometown Bacolod.
You are a family if you stay at the Hometown Hotel”
Hometown Hotel has a unique ambience. They have their own restaurant that caters to local menus. Housekeeping is very helpful to your needs and front desk provides their excellent customer service. Rooms are clean and tidy. 24/7 security in the premises and you have a wonderful day of rest.
Above average”
Last room provided was the one behind the reception area. Not much noise insulation so expect to hear all the noise in the lobby, and the TV being watched in the front desk. The bathroom was small but clean and for some odd reason, quite drafty/cold despite the closed door. The bed is quite comfortable and the pillows too!
👍”
Manage your expectations, the hotel itself is just okay. Very simple, good for a few night's stay, nothing fancy. But the location is great! Very accessible. You can easily ride jeepneys near the hotel. Or walk- even at night, very accessible and safe. 👍
Exceptional”
Very accomodating staff.
Budget-friendly hotel”
Location is great and accessible to malls, restaurants, and other establishments. Comfortable beds, working hot shower, clean towels and working wifi (freelancer here). It was a great stay!
Simple. Clean. Comfortable”
Building --isnt fancy on the outside, simple yet comfy and homey inside amenities --pantry and common areas are all clean and well maintained. Staffs -- all very helpful , friendly and approachable Location -- in the middle of the city, accessible Bed-- had a good sleep Bathroom- isnt perfect but decent. Toiletries -- never expected it for the price I paid, but they have it You will not feel like you paid for that discounted amount. The room was very comfy, AC is working well, water heater-works great, the water supply is ok, they even have small veranda that can overlook the backdoor parking area. Made me feel like I stayed in a 3-4 Star hotel. Keep up the good work! and see you soon!
