This hotel isn't far from Koraku-en Station. You can walk about 10 min. And there is a supermarket in front of the hotel.
Located on a slope”
Nearby transport is fine as 4 metro/toei line within walking distance. There also a bus service at the doorstep which is 7 bus stop to Ueno. But u have to walk up the slope when u coming back to hotel using train service. Feel so exhausted especially u shop alot. Also the check out time is 10am compare to the normal 12pm. The cleanliness is fine except the blanket look dirty and old. The facilities is good as they have air cleaner and the tap is easy to set the temperature of water u want. But the TV is small, as most of the hotel is using at least 32inch. The staff are friendly and helpful. They understand simple English which is sufficient to communicate.
This is a motel not a hotel.”
I'd like to say there is an upside but I don't have one. I chose the hotel because I wanted privacy and not to have to check out each day like a capsule hotel. The price was decent and from the pics it looked basic but nice. I checked in and I regretted it. The room wasn't clean in that there was a thick layer of dust on everything and including the carpet. Stains on the wall and rust on the fixtures. It's probably an old building. I changed rooms and it was only marginally better. Housekeeping is minimal at best. I've stayed in many hotels and this was the worst. I was questioning whether the sheets had been changed. The staff was nice and very helpful and it's close enough to the train station. Honestly, if you're not into cleanliness and just need somewhere cheap, this could be an option. However it was discounted at the time and in very happy I hadn't paid the full price for it. At full price, around 8,000 yen a night you can find much better places.
Convinence place, need to climb up to the hotel
15mins walk from korkuen metro station，hard to fin”
perfect for backpackers”
A cozy stay”
We had a nice stay here. The hotel is located close to Korakuen station and Tokyo Dome. There's the Japanese garden in Korakuen too, and pretty good shopping possibilities. Family Mart is just across the street, plus Lawson's is a 1 minute walk away too. There are a few restaurants located close to the hotel as well. All in all, a nice experience!
Poor hotel to stay”
This hotel is really poor to the extreme max. I've stayed in many budget places in Japan and this is one that just damage the good reputation. We were given a small room (which is ok) but a small bed that can only fit one. How can 2 people going to squeeze in that tiny bed? The room is dusty, the plastered walls are cracking and falling apart. The staff unable to converse or help much. They just want you to get the keys and deal with your own business. Well, it was terrible two nights and I would not want to go back to this hotel.. or rather I would call it a run down motel. You have to walk so far from the nearest train station and there's nothing much to see in that area. You can choose many other better ones compared to this. Not worth your money.
you get what you pay”
i think this hotel just for budgeting one. i go with my brother and stayed there for 4 days. the bed so small, but for tokyo in center of city to find budget hotel with 2 persons is rather difficult. for your suggestion, because the subway line which provide nearest station (korakuen) is private not JR (government), just select the private line all the time. or you will pay double fare. one thing, u need walk in hiking position from station to hotel about 15 minutes. better you think about this hotel if you have big2 luggages..
Nice and neat”
Inexpensive, but you get what you pay for.”
The room itself was was clean, comfortable, and even had a microwave and piped in music. There was internet via LAN but no wifi, and while the air conditioning only permitted heating, I could open a window to cool off. The staff were polite and while their English was more enthusiastic than fluent they worked hard to make themselves understood. I cant ask for more. Perhaps the worst aspect however was the total lack of anything to do in the neighbourhood apart from the Tokyo Dome or a spa. There was no nightlife and not much in the way of restaurants nearby. The nearest stations were about 10 min walk away but required a change of lines to get to places like Shibuya or Shinjuku (so about 30 min travel time). The microwave was handy for meals from family mart. mart across the road. A couple of minor annoyances were a couple of things I normally take for granted from a roughly 3 star hotel. The first is access to a printer, which they dont have (or even able to direct me somewhere nearby). The second was bag minding. Usually with there usually being several hours between checking out and checking in somewhere else or catching a flight, most hotels will hold onto your luggage to collect it later. However, after checkout at 10am they refuse to hold onto your luggage. At 10:15, i asked if i could keep my luggage for an hour while I found a printer to print my boarding pass, they refused, on the checkout rule. I really cant recommend this to any tourists unless they have no other option.
generally fine except bed and smell in room”
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff when I was there had limited English capability; however they were able to call someone to translate for us. The room was really small (this is Japan)but overall my stay was good.
