We stay in the two bedroom villa for three nights. Services was great. We can easily get the buggy car around. The view was phenomenal. Would like to see some improvement among the staffs. The butler did not inform us he would have a day off and thus we could not find him. But overall, it was fantastic.
Pros - The view from the lobby is really out of the world but overall it needs reno Really huge resort that you have 6pools to choose, lots of activities, some FOC Service at the beach was good, very attentive Cons - Room - I paid for the panaromic sea view room, the balcony is big but the view was blocked by the panal sliding door (1/3of it was blocked). For the price I paid, expected coffee machine and bigger TV but just a really small boiler given and it's old. Aminenities was fine but bathroom fitting looked rusty(^0^)', the hot shower is not hot and need to wait for like 3munites Beach - with lots of shell/stones that is very hard to walk around. But if you only tucked yourself by the pool is fine Breakfast - I never had such a least choice of breakfast spread in 5stars resort so far...but quality of coffee serve was good Food - a bit of my suprise, the restaurent staff have no idea what is medium rare when I mentioned my beef, it turn out to be almost well done
Amazing Views and Facilities”
We upgraded to the beach bungalows. I was traveling with my parents and this is not a Hotel for those who don't like stairs. Built on the side of a small mountain this incredible Hotel has many stairs and flows down from the top (lobby area) of the mountain to the sea side. Older (and lazier) people use the buggies to get around but if you want the exercise there is a beautiful walk across a small expansion bridge to the beach. You have to stay here to really appreciate this Hotel, it is very well appointed and comfortable. The pools, restaurants are very nice, the gym and the rooms are very spacious and well equipped. This was our 2nd stay, we'll be back.
Amazing hotel!!! The best!!!”
we stay for 3 days, and it was amazing, they have 7 pools, the rooms are beautiful, the service is awesome. we really enjoyed our stay there. we were in samui for 9 days, and we change hotel 3 times to be in a different parts of the island. defenetly intercontinental was the best with difference!!! also they have kid's club, and a shuttle bus to take you and pick you up to chaweng and nathon. i will love to go there again.
Stunning hotel on the beautiful west coast”
A beautiful hotel with a variety of rooms, villas and all decorated in a gorgeous modern Thai style. All rooms, villas are on the side of the hill or down by the beach and chauffeured golf buggies ferry you up and down the hill, which is quite fun! From the lobby bar/restaurant, there is the most breathtaking view we had see in some time, west facing to the sea/islands and amazing sunsets.
Great place to enjoy”
Far away from the central down but you can enjoy 2-3 days at hotel without visiting the downtown. Very nice and helpful staffs there，so impressed at the sea view. However, perhaps due to the room type(we reserved the room with two beds instead of 1 king bed), we cannot see the sea view. The breakfast is fantastic and the two restaurant is also nice yet a little expensive. In general, it is really a good place and hotel
Very good hotel with warm hearted staff. Stunning sunset view and hotel rooms with breathtaking view. Attention to details by hotel staff was particularly impressive as well.
thanks for good memories
Not worth the price...”
Too expensive for this standard of resort. Whilst we can put up with noisy children and unavoidable China tourists, there was no class or luxury. Restaurants , esp by the beachside was 3 Star standard of food. Personally the ambience of the F&B outlets was gimmicky , tacky and invasive of the lovely setting. Awful music everywhere , sorry to say this... The 2 singers we sat through at the outdoor bar in the evening were loud & didn’t go with the beautiful setting , sad! Our dinners were painful until they stopped singing, then we could appreciate the setting , the breeze and the natural ambience. My apologies for being so negative but you are not a cheap hotel? Cheers Philip Chin
A taste of Island Paradise...”
Fantastic sunset (this is a highlight of the resort), excellent facilities and good value for money. Food was excellent... Try the Japanese buffet every Monday evening. It is a resort in the middle of a coconut plantation you have some small village style restaurants outside and small shops so it will be best if you stay in the resort. Food is great but expect it to be pricey being in a resort and all. What i love most about the resort is the accommodating and polite staff. They always greet us and end with have a nice/good day. Everybody is so polite and friendly and the entire stay was a very pleasant and memorable one for my wife and I. Special Thanks goes out the restaurant crew at the Amber restaurant Khun Kwan and Lek for attending to our daily needs (we stayed at the hotel for 1 week). I see them in the morning till the restaurant closes at 11pm. They work such long hours and continue to be so attentive and friendly... Kudos to the Intercon for that! I hope you treasure them as It's staff like them who really make a guest's stay really memorable! Special Thanks also goes out to the speed boat crew who took us out to see the Pink Dolphins... Like I said before, the tours and meals are not cheap! But the excellent professionalism from the staff, facilities (top notch/excellent speed boat) and crew more than makes up for the costs. In room dining was perfect, tennis courts and the event centre team was also fantastic! The SPA was also an experience and it's something you must try... One final caveat, if costs is an issue then please look elsewhere but as mentioned before, the quality of services more than makes up for this!
Great hotel for family with kids”
We loved our stay and would go back again. The staff were incredible, very sweet to our 2 -year old daughter. Facilities and hotel are great for toddlers and kids. The pool has some shallow areas and both restaurants are kid friendly.
A resort with beautiful seaview ”
The hotel view worth a 9.0 , overall in this world nothing is perfect. I would recommend this resort to those who like sea view, sunset and sea sports(all gears are free). Take the cruise to chase the sunset. It is definitely worthwhile.lastly, I thank the great efforts of Stephen and staff for all the arrangements.
Wonderful fun peaceful awesome”
We had an enjoyable stay at the resort with my wife and two kids. Nice sea view looking at the 5 islands and the resort had its own pier which will light up at night. Great variety of food for breakfast. Nice room with spacious bath room. Definitely worth coming back.
wonderful starting from the moment being picked up at the airport. Several pools located throughout the resort all with great views of the ocean. Room was very pleasant. Will definitely come back again.
worth to stay”
It was a wonderful stay, I was very surprised was upgraded to the villa, it was woth to wait then to prepare the room for long because it was really a big villa with 2 floors, really amazing, beautiful, comfort, very clean, romatic bath room with candle provided. Walk few steps down to the beach and swimming pool, the beach is very clean and sea is peacful, its only a beach can swim in Koh Samui in raining reason, very good service at the pool side, the staff will serve you a cold water and towel, and the other swimming pool beside the reataurant is face to garden view also really nice, and the bar view is very good to see sunset. The restaurant serve food is very delious and ro,atic enviroment. The hotel is the best I was stay in Koh Samui.
Good value for money, great location with nice view”
This was the best of the 3 hotels we have done on Koh Samui. We had a nice ocean view room with a big terrace. High ceilings and a large bathroom. Looked all pretty new and nice amenities. Good pool and beach area with several type of restaurants available. Good buffet breakfast with a great selection of different food. Only disadvantage is that you always need to hire a care for getting away. It's an isolated location that confines you to the hotel things. Yet, I highly recommend the hotel for a few days.
a very romantic place for holiday with great view”
Before we check in, I sent an email to this hotel telling them that would be my honeymoon. after we checked in, we received the honeymoon welcome set which included a bottle of wine, a chocolate cake! what's a big surprise. the room is very big with breath taking ocean view. our room was on the third floor which gave us great chance to overlook the shore and the whole hotel. Food is also very nice with wide range of selection. although the price is higher than average in there. Overall speaking, you pay for what you get. we had a very nice holiday in InterCon Samui.
excellent hotel with reasonable price”
a little bit far from the airport(45 mins by taxi) and main streets and beaches. however, the hotel has its own beach, restaurants, bars, spa and all in reasonable price, which you may stay inthe hotel for few days already. and the staff there are professional and helpful. overall, i enjoyed the days there very much!
From the moment we stepped into the lobby to check in, we fell in love with the views. Yes it's remote but just what we wanted. On arrival we were told there was a problem with the water in our room and it wouldn't be fixed until the following day. We were a bit disappointed until they showed us the alternative room. It was heaven and the view was similar to that from the lobby so we were happy. We got to keep the room at our request. The food was excellent, the staff very professional and management were often visible and seemed to be hands on. The beach front was all coral and not good for swimming, however, you could take a bit of a dip from the shore or jump off the pier. There was always a lounge available by the pool so it turned out o.k. It's ideal for those wanting to stay in a gorgeous and classy place and happy to do things within the resort and not venture too far.
Service is good, nice view, excellent food”
The hotel is a bit far from the most crowded area, it takes us 45 minutes to drive to reach the Chaweng Street. There aren't many resturant nearby, though the resurants in the hotel provides excellent food, if you want to have something new, you have to drive out. Without renting a car, impossible to get out from the hotel.
