The Lanna suites we stayed in was lovely and size was fantastic. Our room was positioned right near the pool and was surrounded by lush gardens. Unfortunately, to my daughters disappointment, the pool was out of service. Not blaming the hotel but a recommendation to Agoda it would be great if you could advise what facilities are and are not available before you purchase. One of the main reasons we decided on this hotel was due to it having a pool suite. Hotel did advise we were welcome to use another pool not far away but this was no good to us as we wanted watch our daughter from the convenience of our room. The only other advise I can offer is that this hotel is approx 8km away from Chiang Mai city center so having a hire car is recommended as I have heard taxi service in and out of city center is pretty average. But in saying that the hotel is set in a lovely little village which offers many services like a Supermarket, hair dresses and many restaurants which means you could stay near the hotel if you had no need to travel to Chiang Mai. Would stay again.
Peaceful and spacious room”
staffs are very helpful. they let me check in early. the room is spacious. the hotel is located in the tarndong village which is quiet and located next to paddy field. if you have trouble finding the signs for hotel or tarndong village, look for sign for "gad farang" literally means "foreigner market" and then pass through the market for about 200 m you will start seeing the sign for the hotel.
Clean, green, great location”
This place was excellent value for money. I needed food heated up for my daughter, and the staff were happy to open the kitchen, heat it up and plate the food nicely. I needed to extend my stay for seven more hours beyond checkout time, and the extra charge was very very reasonable.
Very good for relaxing”
I am really satify about this resort, the room is fitted with all modern conveniences and very nice, natural landscape is very nicc. At here I was rent bicycle of resort to take around, go to market about 500m but at the moment spa is closed, price resort's is not included have breafast. But good for me.
Small paradise outside Chiang Mai”
A lovely resort set in beautiful tropical gardens. Very well kept resort. We stayed in Royal Suite and it was very spacious with a beautiful bathroom. The loungeroom even had a DVD player. Wonderful balcony overlooking garden. Management very friendly and they took care of my every concern as I just had an operation in Australia before arriving. Jeab girl at Reception was soooo friendly and always willing to help. We loved this resort. Only negative is the transport to town, a 11pm group pick up from centre would be terrific. We knew however that the resort was 11 kilometres away and booked resort accordingly for peace and quiet. Therefore I rated location of resort in section below very high. If you want to be in the centre of the action and a resort that is buzzing with energy, perhaps this resort is not for you.
Nice Stay, But No Pool”
We very much enjoyed our stay here, as it was convenient to friends in the area. The pool was not important to us. But it should be noted that the pool shown in listing photos is not accessible to Iyarintara guests.
It was a very nice resort to getaway for a few days. It's off the beaten track and out of town quite a ways. No public transportation going right past your door here. The outdoor shower's design was a bit lacking. The A/C's show some age. But we had a very nice stay. The staff were very helpful and easy to work with.
A quiet relaxing stay”
As we were the only guests there it was very peaceful and quiet. We particularly enjoyed the swimming pool. This resort would prove difficult for guests without their own transport because of the distance to restaurants etc especially as no breakfast is available. Lovely generous sized and comfortable suites though. Its a pity the TV doesn't work (exteremely poor quality picture) and is not in the bedroom
A relaxing time”
We did get what we were looking for - a relaxing retreat with a touch of romance. However whilst the room was most generous in size and fitout and the poolside location was wonderful. There were a couple of annoying things. I understand the lack of restaurant (and therefore breakfast) given the small number of guests, but in these circumstances I find the lack of even a basic coffee/tea facility unforgivable. This is particularly so given the staff obviously know there is no nearby facility open for breakfast.
The gardens were lovely, the rooms very large, with beautiful Lanna-style wooden buildings, and the setting was very tranquil. It is a long way out of Chiang Mai, and a 10 minute walk to the main route. (If using public transport, ask for 'Gad Farang' on the Hang Dong Road.) Breakfast was not available; but there was a kettle and large fridge in the room, a shop 5-10 minute walk away.
fantastic experience, good value for money”
the hotel is not easy to find and not convenient to travel around without a car. Staffs are very helpful and willing to help you out in every possible way. There is no microwave in the room but you can ask the staff to heat up the food for you without extra charge. Swimming pool is nice and big enough. Bed is big and comfortable, air cons are working well, hot water is strong and hot enough, internet signal is also good. The resort has no restuarant, so expect no breakfast. The supermarket is not far and in a walking distance, selling both local and international goods.
Beautiful hotel in a remote location”
The staff was very helpful. They tried to do whatever they could to help us get transportation to places we needed to get to. The location is far from the city and it is pretty expensive to get a taxi out there. I liked the outdoor shower and the large living room/dining room area. There was a nice grocery store that the staff drove us to that had everything we needed for a comfortable stay away from all the restaurants. The pool was really nice. Great rooms for the price.
this was the second stay at this hotel.the rooms are clean and very big and the hotel staff are very helpful.its positioned well for most things and we will stay again on our next trip.the rate at this hotel is always very competitive against the other 4 star hotels.
I have traveled all over Thailand from the South up through the far North and I enjoyed this hotel out of all of them and I had a lot of nice hotels. There are actually a full living room and a small kitchen. It also had a second shower in an enclosed outside pouch that was very nice. The best thing was that the price for the room was very reasonable compared to other hotels in Chiang Mai. The main down side to staying there is that it is a ways away from downtown and it costs 300 baht each way to get back and forth and their isn't anywhere close where you can rent a motor bike.
Amazing resort hotel out in the countryside ”
loved this hotel!! i only wished i could stay longer than 2 nights, but they were booked. i was amazed by the locals on my bike ride (free bikes during your stay) out and about the countryside. town is only a bike ride away, but it was the area nearby that made my stay! very welcoming and relaxing!!! the rooms were a dark wood, the bathroom had a tub and outdoor shower. the bed was very comfortable. large rooms with a balcony. mine was overlooking the pool. the help was very nice. the food was good thai food. the pool was too cold to swim in, but it was winter. but it was nice to lay out by the pool and just relax, read, and get some sunshine! great "first look" of chiang mai!!!
best price performance hotel”
we just went there for y2012 count down. it's just 15 min from airport and complete restaurant, super market and small walking market on the front of the road to the hotel. there quite quite and comfortable with reasonable price.
Very good hotel especially for family with children. big room with separated living room. All wooden floor and clean. I love rest room with outdoor shower, sexy due to can see from bedroom. Close to tour place such as royal flora, night safari, samueng. Botanic garden, etc. and airport.
nice customer service”
i liked the style of this hotel that decorate in lanna style of chiang mai. located where this hotel is at is not too far from the city of chiang mai, just only 8 kilo. also, this place closes to minimart, you don't have to worry about driving far to find a restaurant. the room is large , there are living room, dinning table and bedroom. also what i liked the most is an outdoor shower. however, there is no cable. you could only watch 1 or 2 channels.
A nice retreat for small holiday”
The resort is quite small with approximately 20-23 rooms which I like because it is not too big and it allows more space for privacy. Each room is quite large with living room, bedroom, dining area, a balcony, a bathroom (seperate bathtub and open-air rain shower) and kitchenette. I had a little problem of weak Wifi signal in my room, but that was alright, I needs a break from my work anyway. Swimming pool is small but nice and clean. Breakfast was not a buffet but we have a fine made-as-ordered kind of dish. All staff I met there are nice and friendly. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and it was definitely a retreat from my hectic week. (Those who need to explore Chiang Mai might need a car to get there and around though)
I love Quiet pleace as in this resort. All room are Spacious and more Private. But I have some Travel guide for the utility for Another to stay. Be prepared with mosquito repellent. Because this mosquito and insect a lot in this area.
Free Wi-Fi in all rooms!
