Not as good as the first time ”
The first time I had a good experience which is the reason why I came back but this time the bed was uncomfortable and the bathroom smelled like smoke. The television was not working they got me someone to try to help me fix it over the phone but it was unsuccessful. The good thing is the place was clean and they have appliances like fridge and a microwave and even a stove to cook. And its about 2 mm from the subway station.

Acceptable”
It was very disappointed to enter and not to see a person to take care of me, I was on the phone with a rude man who was not helpful. So I decided to leave even though I couldn't cancel or get any money back. I definitely not recommend that place

First time in a airbnb”
It was a good experience. Essentially it was like staying at a good friends house. You are welcomed and free to treat the home like your own (even though you probably won't) check in process was quick and easy with no hassles. Location is a hop, skip and jump away from the avenue h Q station( very convenient). All in all it was a great experience and now that I know How exactly I'm want to spend my time for my second trip in NY I will definitely consider J-stel as my top choice!

if you're wanting bed bugs, stay here!”
When you check-in you don't get provided with the details of how to do so prior to arrival. It is a virtual reception and therefore you don't actually interact with any staff. This place isn't a hotel. It is a hostel and is far from the main part of nyc. The room I was in, was right near the train n every few minutes it would loudly go past. Best bring earplugs! Not to mention the bed was very low to the ground and had visible bed bugs in it. I wasnt provided with a towel to use the shared bathroom. Basically, if you can stay anywhere else but here. You will only be left scratching the bites from the bed bugs n scratching your head as to why it says it's a 3 star hotel when it is only 1.

if you cannot find anythings else, at least this one.
No counter, everything by telephone, and i waited 30 mins to get reply.. Like a family house without family than a hotel. Super expansive for this kind of hostel.

Homey”
Very close to MTA. Nice rooms. Full kitchen downstairs
I've stayed here three times. I've stayed in Rm 301, 302 and 303. 301 is my favorite of the three, next to the bathroom, shared and relatively large. Famous, famous DeFario's Pizza is on the corner. People wait in linefor it. Nice supermarkets very close. Set up is private rooms and shared bathrooms, one on each floor. I look forward to staying there when in NYC.

Room945 Hotel is not a Hotel!!!!”
Very Clean,Close to Subway,Access without a receptionist was very easy due to their key storage system
I was initially very surprised about the name of the accommodation implying it is a hotel...which it is not. It's a share house. This being said it was reasonably comfortable and very clean though a little overpriced considering it wasn't a 3 star hotel,It's a 1.5-2 star at best.I work in the travel industry and stay at hotels everyday of my work life so I would know. The kitchen facilities and closeby shops were a bonus as well as the great internet connection & cable tv in the private room I had. Shared bathroom was kept very clean by the cleaner that came daily. Room cleaned, bedsheets change and new towels supplied.

Nice location nearby the metro”
Good location, Clean, good spot
It was complicated to take the metro from the JFK airport to the hotel. The only way that you can go is by the yellow cab which costing you around 60 bucks. Maybe the hotel should give the advice for customers how to get the metro from the airport to the hotel. It is very important. The hotel is located at the nice location surrounded by the restaurants, 7/11, and cafe.
