Easy to find 'cause it is just beside the road. Accessible to tricycle pick up. Friendly and accommodating staff. Laid back view. Beach is just in front of the resort. Cozy ambiance. Will choose to stay in this place when I get back to Guimaras.
a very good choice”
a fantastic garden 100 meters from a small beach confortable rooms w AC and hot water friendly wellcome and helpfull staff can fix a boat trip at a very reasonable price, islands hoping with great swimming ad snornelling spots (the beaches on Guimaras Island are not so nice...)
No water, No fridge”
The receptionist is friendly and the room is clean but quite disappointing since the room we booked includes a fridge and water bottles but then the room provided didn't have it!What's more frustrating? NO WATER IN THE CR!! We couldn't get any help because they were closed already(not 24hrs). We asked them the next morning, they closed the main control of their water system because it was leaking( tsk)
The staff name Janice at the reception area is very frienly and accommodating. The place is so quite and so relaxing. The beach is not nice to me very rocky beach front. The room is clean and has a cold aircon but the comport room has no water and no hot & cold shower. They have to improve the water supply in the comport room and immediately repair the faucet. They cut the water supply during the night.
A GEM found at Guimaras!”
Jannah Glycel Beach House was a GEM! Its staff truly emulates the real Filipino hospitality at its best. The front desk and kitchen staff are incredibly efficient. The grounds are beautiful with rare tropical flowers and plants. The beach at the back of the property is soothing, quiet and private. The front GATE infront is Tall which provides a sense of security. I was told there were dogs but DID NOT hear them at all, but I LOVED dogs especially guard dogs:). The only cons, the shower was not working (no hot shower, not flowing at night time), but still made me smile ---back to a pail with a "tabo" (dipper) --- old school bathing:) The bathroom is nicely decorated with bamboo. Ahhh, I already miss this place, but a long way from California, USA where I lived. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED place. I will go back again to them in a heartbeat. Thank you so much for the great accommodation Janna Glycel Beach House. JD, San Diego, CA, USA
Superb Customer Service”
I really find the place relaxing and clean. The rooms are spacious and fully airconditioned. There's a mini fridge, a cabinet for clothes and a side table. There's a hot and cold shower although the water at the bathroom needs improvement especially at day time plus our room has a mini seating area with a nice view. You can just seat there and feel the cool breeze at night. The breakfast is not included but you can order at the restaurant. The food is not that expensive but with good amount of servings. They can also arrange your island hopping tour and will gladly assist you with your needs. The owners are nice and Ate Janice the caretaker is very accommodating. Plus it is not that expensive compare to other resorts. My son also loves their dogs. They are very friendly and cute. The only downside is it's quite far from other establishments but if you want a secluded place and some peace and quiet this is the right one for you.
Extended My Stay”
I really enjoyed my time hanging out in the lovely gardens reading and relaxing. This is a quiet resort with a very friendly staff. To reach the hotel from the port, it was by tricycle for 250pp, or one advice would be to take the the land tour for the day from the port with the tricycle and then get dropped off at the hotel. Janice helped me get together with other guests so that we could rent a boat for island hopping for a cheaper price. Water is available upon request which is very nice. The prices at the restaurant are good too. The internet does work in the restaurant so you can get online if necessary. There are several places you can walk to from the hotel. It is a good price to relax in paradise.
Relaxing in Paradise”
The moment I set foot on the property, it was jaw dropping gorgeous. The lush gardens and the sea view as you enter the property along with the receptionist are so warm and welcoming. The property is set up like a horseshoe with the tropical gardens full of palms and flowers in the middle. The beach itself is small, and is not really for swimming, though during high tide you could swim if you wanted to, but nearby beaches and island hopping tours a for more variety. The cook at the restaurant on site was more than accommodating to help me eat with my food sensitivities. Janice, the receptionist and main host, is very hospitable. The other staff are just as kind, very hardworkers and always on hand to help. It is true about the wifi not working in the rooms, but if you want to disconnect, this is the place to come. You can get online if you need to, if you sit in the reception or restaurant. My room was very clean, had hot water, towel and tv. I would definitely come back just to relax.
Such a nice hotel! But the beach is so-so.”
The Deluxe Room is just a perfect! TV, mini fridge and terrace with a sitting area (ground floor). The staff is so friendly and helpful. You can book tours right at the hotel. The minus of this hotel is not a very good beach. I don't understand why they will not clean it? But a 10-minute walk is the excellent beach of Alubihod. And keep in mind that the hotel have 4 big watchdogs, which walks at night through the hotel's territory. But it all it's a very nice place to stay. Be sure to try the island hopping tour!
With a very affordable price, the experience was just awesome. The room was clean, spacious, and comfy. The bathroom is also clean with both hot and cold shower. Ms. Jannis, the receptionist, was always ready to help. The resort restaurant provided a good food with reasonable price. Beware of four labradors who roam around the house, but for dog-lovers, they are just adorable. While it is true that the beach in front of the resort was not for swimming, but we could walk to other parts of the beach. Don't forget also to ask the receptionist about the Island Hoping package (again with affordable price) and experience also the floating seafood restaurant nearby (again with reasonable price).
Value for price”
Price of the room was really affordable! It was really far tho (around 45 mins from port) but it was a 10-15 min walk to the Alubihod beach. But the place is really quiet and they serve good food as well. Although, some of it got out of stock esp the breakfast ones when we stayed there. Still a great place to stay!
Great affordable option”
This place is great as an affordable place to take it easy for a few days. It's close to Alubihod Beach but without the higher price tag, and it's right next to a floating cottage/restaurant that serves tasty food. The restaurant at JG is pretty good - nothing fancy and not a huge menu but it had all the standards you'd want. The bit of beach this property is connected to is kinda rocky so it works to splash around a bit but if you want better beaches, you'll want to go elsewhere. It's about 30-40minutes away from Jordan (and about P250-350), making it not super convenient but if you're looking for something off the beaten path, it's a great option.
The hotel was so good and clean. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. But the beach is not that too good to swim. I never got the chance to swim on their beach. but still you can hop on to the neighbor resort so u can swim. Me and my boyfriend enjoy so much and most of all they had great food. The price is not that economical but its worth it.
Jannah Glycel Resort”
location is too far from town proper but its where all other accomodations are located i think jannah glycel has nearer than others.after all beds are too comfortable to sleep on. staffs are so accomodating and friendly. views from the hotel is so nice and place is clean and quiet.
Nice clean well maintained quiet location with a tropical island feel... good food and a 10 min walk to a nice white sand beach... i was there in August and the atmosphere was laid-back and very quiet , I dont know what the in-season would be like but I would guess it is still not to crazy.
Staffs are very helpful. Room that we booked is spacious. Food is good, though limited options. Only downside though was that, our mattress was just two inches. The thicker ones are in the pull out bed.
very affordable. nice and helpful staff. food was good. rooms were clean and big. just had some issues with the water in the shower, but they tried to fix it to the best of their abilities and allowed us to use another unoccupied room's shower as well.
We only booked this resort as the first choice we had got fully booked already. We thought we’d be disappointed since the front beach of this resort was not the best. Yet, it doesn’t fail our expectations! The staff were very accomodating and friendly. Rooms were clean and comforable as well. We just had an issue with our toilet bowl’s flush but it was too minimal compared to the enjoyment the stay there brought us. We tried their Dinner Under the Stars for 2 pax (700 php). The dish and setup were simple but the vibe is indeed romantic and dreamy. We also availed their island hopping package. Sadly, the guide did not brought our snorkeling gear so we haven’t enjoyed it that much. However, I would still highly recommend this place mostlu because of the service of the staff.
Great location clean rooms and a pleasure to stay here ”
This place I right on the beach front so you can go island hopping or just chill out after a day of discovering the area the staff are lovely to deal with and very friendly the rooms are clean and the place is always tidy it was a pleasure to return as we stayed here a year ago and we will return. The only thing that would be good is a bigger selection on the menu but all is good as there a course of really nice restaurants in San Miguel
This is a place if you want a quiet get away. Staff are very helpful and accommodating. Garden is nice. They offer also island hopping packages. There are dogs in the place but with care takers ( if your afraid of the dogs.... think twice in staying in this place. Overall : Good.
