Great place great staff great food ”
This place is beautiful and peaceful, but more importantly the staff were so nice and helpful. We had a short but great stay. Best part was the food, cooked and served by the beautiful lady named Nona. Thanks Nona!

There is a reason for one star”
Zero information, cold water, very limited food & it costs half a million any direction you would like to go after you leave hotel. Very little to do during wet season. Entrance to the crater, 300.000 on top of hotel lift for 500.000

    Beautiful bungalows”
Bungalows with views over a river and rice fields, far up a valley from the main road. Nice bed and furnishings in the room, lounges on the patio. Good restaurant with great service, especially if Rita is working!

We stayed here for a night. Love the stone walled bathroom. Good initiative in not using plastic water bottles. Instead, drinking water filled in flask.

The best hotel close to kelimutu”
It exceeded our expectations. The room is basic but the bed was nicely decorated. Clean. No tv but its fine, so that u could enjoy the nature. The service by the staff was superbly awesome. They are very attentive. We didnt even have to ask to assist us, one staff saw us checking out from the room. It was raining. He n another staff quickly helped us to carry our bags and get umbrellas for us. The breakfast was simple but we were ok with it. We love the fruits n the omelette! The view from the cafe n from our room were awesome!

Great place to stay when visiting Kelimutu.”
Very friendly and informative staff. A bit outside the actual town on Moni on the way towards Maumere, but very walkable. Go down into the village at the intersection rather than just along the highway into the main town; you won't be disappointed. Restaurant/bar and area by stream is very nice. Bring bug spray, and is a eco-lodge, so no fan/air-con, so can be a little warm.

    A very pleasant location”
Beautifully manicured gardens in this ecolodge a little walk from the town centre. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful to our little boy in particular. Bathroom a little bit of a disappointment - floor always wet from the shower, causing the bedroom to be a little damp too. Suspect the bathrooms in the (more expensive) villas/cottages would be nicer (also, suspect that they would be quieter and you would avoid being woken at 4am when tour groups leave for the crater sunrise). Overall, a very nice setting and a relaxing stay.

Great place from which to travel to Kelimutu craters which are fab. Clean food basic but Nona chef went out of way to make us a dish on request which was great. Thank you. Gardens lovely linen and towels clean and new. No air con kettle fridge WiFi phone. Limited drinks. Etc but in wild rural beautiful setting.

Great Place to stay when visiting Kelimutu”
We really enjoyed our stay - rooms are great and food is based around local organic produce. Staff are excellent and everyone was very helpful. The standards here are way above anything else we saw in Moni, if a bit more expensive than most.

the best location to visit kelimutu lake”
we stayed here for 1 night to be able to see kelimutu lake at sunrise. contrary to some reviews the rooms were clean , bed linen impeccable. food ok , staff wonderful . our guide ( patrice) was good , learned a lot from him considering the remoteness of the place everything was good. getting in and out was a problem , because they are working on the road between ende airport and moni, it took us almost 4 hours . another option is using maumere airport instead of ende, driving time probably less.

    Most comfort near Kelimutu”
I stayed here with my family for one night. We arrived late in the evening but the staff was always ready to serve us and provide everything we need. We add an extra bed and the room is not spacious enough. Anyway, our sleep was comfort and they woke us up on 4 AM as we requested cause we will climb to Kelimutu. The distance from lodge to Kelimutu is around 15 KM or about 45 minutes. From Kelimutu we back to the lodge for breakfast and then we checked out. Breakfast also good. The options are bread, waffle and fried rice.

Close to Kelimutu lakes, friendly and helpful staff, English toilet :)
We stayed only for 1 night, but the overall impression was positive. The staff was very friendly, the room was clean and cosy. It's a nice place to lay back and chill out. Our only worry was the mosquitos, but they completely disappeared after the sunset.

Expensive haven in emerging tourist spot”
Wonderful romantic garden setting with little bungalows next to flowing stream.
We stayed here for two nights but found it was incredibly overpriced on everything. It was at least three times the price of any other accommodation in Moni (but these are all homestays) although the setting in the well maintained gardens was beautiful. We ate in the restaurant the first night but were dismayed at the price of what essentially was a very basic meal. The room was large with full mosquito net (essential in the early evening) but it had a damp smell, unavoidable I suppose given the jungle surroundings. Another downside was the bathroom which was basic with a trickle of hot water eventually arriving. The location is also quite a distance from the main town... a good half hour slog uphill with no alternatives. One more thing. You don't need a guide to climb Kelimutu although the Lodge manager will try to persuade you to pay him 90 dollars to take you. It's much, much cheaper to negotiate your own transport in town.

the accommodation was a traditional style and very comfortable and quiet with a good restaurant near by. it is a good place to stay if you want to visit the kelimutu crater lakes (only 20 mins. drive).

    Best option in town”
Nice clean rooms and a decent shower!
The lodge itself is lovely and set in nice grounds an easy walk from the village of Moni. The restaurant has decent food (both local and a set menu) but you need to order in advance if you want dinner since it is so small. The inside-outside bathroom is nice, as is the balcony on each little cottage. It seems the lodge is more geared up to groups passing through than independent travellers like me. For example, I was presented with a bill for the room on leaving, even though I'd arrived with an Agoda voucher, but this was easily sorted out. Also, the manager didn't seem willing to help me organise transport on to my next destination, whereas other small hotels on my trip through Flores organised seats in shared taxis for me that included pick up from the hotel. The best the lodge could do was wait with me by the roadside for the bus to pass by... all of which were full!! It was left to another guest who had a rented car and was also going to Bajawa to offer me a ride and save the day. Also, when I wanted transport to Kelimutu, the manager suggested a car at 500,000 rupiah - I finally got him to find me a motor bike ride at If the lodge is going to work with Agoda and therefore with individual travellers they need to gear up a bit better to their needs.

Recommended stay in Kelimutu Crater area”
As our guide said, this property is one of the best accommodations in surrounding area to visit the famous Kelimutu Crater Lakes. Staffs were really helpful during our stay there, as well as the comfortable and clean bedroom. The property also serves lunch/dinner at their on-site restaurant. However, it is advisable to order food early if you do not want to wait too long. Worth noting that the average time to prepare a decent food in Nusa Tenggara's restaurants, based on our group experiences, is about 45 to 90 minutes. This is quite a long time compared to other touristic destinations in Indonesia. The property does not provide wi-fi facilities considering its status as an eco-lodge. Additionally, if there is anything to be improved, certainly is the bathroom in our room. In summary, we can conclude that we are quite satisfied with our experience of staying here.
