Killarney City Center hotels & places to stay

The room condition was quite worthy the money. A very nice bathtub which I enjoyed very much. The staff was also very kind abd helpful -- there's no wake-up call service, but she was more than happy to wake me up by knock on my door when she came in the next morning. The location was good, not too far to the city centre.

Conveniently located between the centre of town and the INEC (Convention Centre) it’s a perfect choice for those that are in town attending a conference. For those simply visiting, Killarney House and Gardens are just 3minutes away, Killarney Brewery is across the road and the town is 5m walking. Plenty of parking spots on the property, the room was very spacious and the hosts were lovely. Can’t recommend Abbey Lodge enough.

We had a great stay here. It felt more like home and not like a hotel or guesthouse. It was lovely when travelling to have that feeling of being home.. The staff were friendly as well. Free parking. Located very close to the city - just a 10 min walk, but a nice walk, made it nicer to be farther away from the noise of the town. This is a great gateway to the Ring of Kerry and all the glory that it is.. Highly recommended to stay here.

Very friendly hostel, comfortable beds with curtains plugs, a light and a shelf. Great bit of privacy. Close the the national park. Good kitchen and supplies. Cozy common area with a fireplace.

Excellent location within walking distance to downtown Killarney. Lovely gardens and beautiful historic stone walls line the entry way. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Room looked out over the garden with its beautiful Yew tree. I would recommend The Gardens to my friends.

i would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in a quiet traditional irish b&b. the owner was lovely and cooks a brillant breakfast. this place definately has that home away from home feeling. the only issue i had, was that it is hard to locate, however with the help of the tourist information centre in town we were able to locate it.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel's charm. First of all, the location is perfect - right in the middle between the town center and train station. Killarney is quite small so you can reach everything by foot anyway. The exterior of the hotel already screams classic luxury. The lobby/reception area is quite small but there's enough space to relax. The room itself looks old but is still very beautiful and up to modern standards. The main assets of the room are the whirlpool bathtub and the huge bed (you might only get this in a 5 star hotel). Service was very good (our hair dryer was broken and it was replaced instantaneously). There is also a SPA and swimming pool but unfortunately no kiddie pool. BUT the BEST part of this hotel is the dining area: sleek and artistic interiors, dark but pleasant and the food was GREAT. Will definitely come back.

Lovely guesthouse a short walk from the town centre. Nice and quiet. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good value for money

Would recommend staying at this hotel while in Killarney. Rooms were a good size and very clean. It's about a five minute walk to the centre and a short drive to the lakes. You have use of pool etc in the hotel next door which was empty both times we used it. Overall a pleasant stay and would return again when back in Killarney. Breakfast next morning was to a good standard. No faults at all to mention.

Sabrina and Sean were wonderful. Warm welcoming smile upon arrival and we received an early check in after requesting one a few days earlier. Aoife from the hotel even emailed days in advance saying that if they could, they would. The staff are very professional. The room was a great size, the breakfast wonderful and there is plenty onsite parking. Should I return to Killarney, I shall not stay anywhere else except for Randles Court.

We were not happy with our stay in this hotel, we had parking under the hotel for the first two nights of our stay, then on the friday night we had to drive around for an hour and a half in the rain beofre parking became available in the town, then we had to walk back to the car in the morning at 8:30 (also in the rain) to get a new parking ticket. The hotel staff told us there was nothing they could do about this. The first night we ate dinner in the Hotel Bar and Grill, the meal was well below the standard of edible. The lamb was very overcooked when we asked for medium and the burger was not cooked properly with raw mince in the middle. No staff at any stage asked us if the meal was okay, just to mention a few things, we had to walk out. There were other problems also including no wifi for the first few nights.

Due to a bit of a mixup in our booking, The Ross Hotel was already closed for the season, so our reservation was transferred to their five-star sister property, The Killarney Park Hotel. For the confusion, they also upgraded us to a Junior Suite, which was a truly lovely room. HUGE bathtub, with a TV to watch while you soak, lovely sitting room with fireplace, big windows and a balcony overlooking the gardens. The service here was EXQUISITE. I can hardly remember having had better service at any hotel anywhere in the world, and I've been to a lot of them. The bed was large and luxuriously comfortable. Literally my only complaint was that the comforter was not down, it was some other thick, heavy material that did not breathe well at all. So, unfortunately, even though the bed was the best we slept in during our whole time in Ireland, we didn't sleep very well due to feeling stuffy and overheated by the comforter. Still, no matter, the breakfast spread made everything worth it. I've never eaten so many croissants and biscuits and cheese in my life! My boyfriend was eating their smoked salmon (lox) and he said it might have been the best he'd ever had. Wonderful experience overall.

Had a lovely stay in The Brehon. Booked two single rooms for my friend and I. Rooms were very comfortable, best nights sleep I had in ages. very attentive staff. The only thing I would change is the dark decor when you exit lift at bedroom floors. Its a pity walls are so dark.

Good value for the money. Stayed here just for a night to explore Killarney and attractions nearby. Staff were very friendly and hospitable. I will definitely go back.

We stayed 3 days at MacSweeney. The service was excellent and the room with the bay window was impeccable. Hotel has an excellent location with public parking nearby. The attention of this family owned hotel is spectacular.

Family run hotel/guesthouse. Amazing breakfast that was included with friendly and helpful staff.

Booked the hotel based on the Internet description and options. Choice probably due to having been baited and lured by the purportedly "4 Star" ranking. Did not pay sufficient attention to weasel clauses and, what on checking in was verbally told, were bookings actually depending on the elusive concept of availablity. No parking, being offered the choice of "upgrading" to a "better room" which "just now" has become available, three beds in a separate single room booked for an accompanying female friend of ours - surely were disconerting, to understate my personal feelings and which I know from experience is not very condicive to good hospitality business. Location and breakfast excellent, though.

We loved out stay at Murphys. Although the food in the pub was priced higher than we expected, everything else was an excellent experience. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and the beds were comfortable. In the morning, there were many breakfast options. I had an amazing full Irish breakfast and my wife, who is a vegetarian, was very pleased with her choices as well. This hotel was well priced, centrally located, and a great experience that I would recommend to anyone visiting Killarney.

very clean and comfortable and a great location for downtown Kilarney. The host is very helpful and a great source of local knowledge m where to eat and be entertained, tours etc. The off street parking was a bonus

We had a nice sized room, others in our party had smaller rooms. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

The B&B was very clean and only a short walk to the city center. The staff was very friendly and helpful too. The only negative point is that the room was very small, but it was fine for 1 night.

We enjoyed our stay there, the staff where friendly. The property was very clean, would highly recommend Arden House. So close to town and horse and cart rides that take you for a history ride to some beautiful castles within the area, where cars cannot go. Also restaurants are very close. The bathroom was large and with a shower and bath. If we can ever return we would stay there again, enjoyed by us all.

Apartment smelled funny !! Really small couch !! First apartment couch was ripped and torn bed was wonky comforter stained !! They moved us with no problem but I can’t believe they didn’t know about these issues !!! They did give a bottle of wine to make up for it The new apartment was smelly and really uncomfortable beds

When I arrived, I did not have a phone to call them to give me the key to the apartment, hence I approached the boutique to assist to call the apartment. It took a while but Irish are generally helpful and sincere. They walked all the way to the apartment and closed their shop just to assist me. (I was informed by the apartment to look for the boutique to collect my keys via email as I enquired about unable to call them without a ireland phone card). Nevertheless, was met by apartment owner and he assisted us to carry up the luggages 2 levels from the ground. Could see him panting but that was excellent services. The kitchen is well equipped as well. Salt, pepper, dish sponge, dish washing liquid, everything! Nearby to food n shopping.

Very pleasant. Great breakfast menu. Spotless room. I was able to walk there from the train station, even with luggage. The owners were very generous with their local knowledge and booked the perfect tour for me.

Arrived late and staff were very accommodating. Quiet comfortable room. Great location to all the night life and shopping in town.
