This hotel is an ideal venue for exploring the Angkor complex and its surroundings. Located only 10 minutes from the entrance to Angkor, La Maison D'Angkor Hotel and its garden compound offer a home full of serenity for travelers after a long day of sightseeing. The garden is large with spacious green areas inviting guests to relax in an air of serenity. There is an outdoor pool with ample space for sunbathing, and the location is in a quiet spot, a little away from the center of town and the active nightlife. This makes it a perfect relaxing retreat. It is not yet a firm mark on the tourist trail, so the best advice is to stay here before everyone else discovers it! Too worn down”
This hotel probably had great charm at one time, but it is pretty run down and overall felt "depressed". It was much farther from town than expected but catching a Tuk tuk was pretty easy. The staff was friendly. The food and menu was good not great, but very reasonably priced. The accommodations were just very worn down. I really did have issues with too many insects in the room and really hit the "I'll never return" when there was mouse poop in the bathroom.
Truly a Pleasure”
I really enjoyed my brief stay at the hotel. It is absolutely gorgeous and charming. The staff works hard to be helpful. I would definitely likely to return, and to build in more time for relaxing in the beautiful pool. I highly recommend the hotel to visitors to Siem Reap. It is also conveniently located near the airport.
Lovely place and beautiful garder and pool”
As we arrived, we are greeted by the warm and friendly staff. The Check in was really professional. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast next to the pool was amazing. Really quiet place to relax and visite sien réal with friend tuktuk driver ..
Well managed boutique hotel.”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Siem Reap and particularly at the La Maison D'Angkor Hotel. The entire staff was attentive and friendly. They arranged an excellent tour guide for Angkor Wat. There were no unpleasant surprises which is what you want on a "once-in-a-lifetime" vacation. Beautiful hotel grounds & pool, quiet & restful rooms with excellent large balconies. Highly recommended.
Stellar customer service”
My friend and I had a wonderful stay at La Maison D'Angkor. We loved our bungalow, your lovely garden and pool, your restaurant, your customer service, your waitstaff and your excellent tour guide/tuk tuk driver Vannat. We will definitely recommend La Maison D'Angkor.
Beautiful setting, lovely rooms, well situated”
Lovely rooms, very good service, fairly good value for cost, limited menu
Un "bijoux d'un hôtel A jewel of an hotel”
We opted for a de-luxe suite on ground floor of individual 2-storey bungalows. Room was large, very clean and a pleasure to be in after a days sightseeing. The hotel was well maintained, with English and French staff who were always pleasant and smiling and run by a very efficent lady. Breakfast taken on the main patio, overlooking the swimming pool was nicely presented and ample. In spite of lots of traffic on main road, hotel was quiet. A plus was that one could have diner in the evening if one wanted and wine was a reasonable price.
Relaxing oasis in the middle of an ancient city!”
had a lovely relaxing time at this hotel. it was the perfect way to start or end a day with a dip in the pool to break up the temple visits. just a 5-10 min tuk tuk ride into town and our drivers mr sarith were wonderful kind people who we really enjoyed spending time with.
Fantastic place to stay”
Lovely spacious bedroom with patio doors that open out unto the balcolny overlooking the pool. Clean and tidy. It's a little far from the center of town but that's nothing a short tuk-tuk ride wont sort out.
Beautiful hotel with fanstastic service”
Everything about the hotel was wonderful. Set in a lush tropical garden, you immediately feel peaceful the moment you walk in. The staff are very courteous and they go out of your way to make you feel at home. The pool is a great place to hang out by after a long day of temple hopping. The rooms are beautiful set up to make you feel like you are in a tropical paradise. The location of the hotel is a bit out of town but we prefer it that way. It's too noisy and hectic in downtown Siem Reap. You can easily rent a tuk tuk outside the hotel for $2 each way to go into town.
Gorgeous hotel, good restaurant and swimming pool.”
A gem of a hotel, hidden from view - much, much nicer than the massive 'luxury' hotels on the same road. Very helpful staff. Too far to walk into town, given the state of the roads, but it's only a short tuk-tuk ride.
Excellent, quiet boutique hotel”
All the staff were charming, well-trained and very welcoming to my whole family, particularly the often-rowdy twins. It felt like very authentic personal service. We spent a lot of time in and around the pool cooling off between hot visits to the temples of Angkor and it was always perfectly clear and clean. We also ate several meals at the hotel and were generally impressed by the quality and variety of the food. Although the hotel is a bit out of the centre of Siem Reap (this is reflected in the tranquillity of the hotel), the tuk-tuk ride into town was fairly short and there were always tuk-tuks on hand. Overall, a thoroughly pleasurable stay. We were all sorry to leave.
In general terms I am very satisfied with my stay at La Maison d'Angkor Wat. The best features are clearly the garden and the pool. The jacuzzi area is also great. You would never imagine all this from the exterior side of the fence. the distribution of the villas is also convenient. Drinks and food are a bit overpriced.
La Maison D'Angkor”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Maison D'Angkor and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Siem Reap. It is far enough out of the main town without being too far. The pool is lovely and the staff were very friendly. The room we stayed in was absolutely awesome with a large deck and very modern decor. The entire setting was very peaceful and the experience was definitely beyond our expectations.
An enjoyable stay”
We enjoyed our stay. It was very good value for a large room and the breakfasts were good. The room had a sunken bath and a powerful shower. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was big but had no real shallow end so you need to take care with young children, some of the steps also had some very square edges.
relaxed and gorgeous”
After a very long trip it was great to arrive at such a comfortable and intimate hotel and relax! Our room was directly off the pool which was perfect for late night and early morning swims and breakast included (by the pool)was nicely prepared and fresh. It was a great launching pad into Siem Reap and Ankor Wat and I would stay there again - the management is very helpful as well and the GM did everything to help travel plansin Cambodia go smootly!!!
Beautiful little oasis :)”
Found La Maison on Agoda and was very impressed. Siem Reap is a loudy, busy town and it was nice being a little removed from it all. La Maison was super - pool and gardens were fantastic. Beds were a bit harder than we would have liked, but it made it easy to get up in the morning for a swim and to go see the temples. Breakfast was choice of continental, asian or western(bacon and eggs). Was always a bit of a mystery as to what portions of the Continental would appear. Staff were happy to help, and local tuktuk drivers were fantastic - ask for Sam Bo!
THE place to stay in Siem Reap”
This is a wonderful hotel set in lush tropical gardens around a dreamy pool. But what sets this hotel apart is the quality of service from staff - from the friendly and knowledgeable reception (including a personal welcome from the manager himself) to the wonderful restaurant service. The food was really good and well-presented and service was attentive without being intrusive. It was also highly professional, unlike in many hotels in the region where well-meaning amateurism reigns, at the Maison d'Angkor everyone knows what they should be doing and does it. Very impressive - I will be back with some more of my family!!
Three great days in Siem Reap”
We booked and paid for this hotel online and were very impressed when we arrived. We stayed three nights and ate in the restaurant each evening in a beautiful setting outside next to the pool. The general manager was very friendly and each day recommended a favorite dinner selection of his and the chef. We had a very comfortable and clean room and internet service was provided free of charge. We would certainly stay there again.
