Lido hotels & places to stay

We chose the Excelsior on Lido because it's beach/pool with the easy option to go into Venice....so it's the best of both worlds. The complimentary boat to/from is a real tangible benefit that adds value to the price. The manager, Giorgia, was so helpful to us. She has a great understanding of hospitality and was incredibly professional and kind.

SO NICE place to stay, clean, big room, great value for money. Travel tip: If you park in Tronchetto , take a water bus Linea 2 to Zattere, and then Linea 5.1. to Lido. Hotel is few minutes walk from station. And you will enjoy water ride (sorry on bad english :) )

Understand that Venetian hotel prices fluctuate quite dramatically depending on " What's On ". The Cristallo is to me the best 2 ⭐️ giving 4 star ⭐️ service. Talk directly to Andrea or Andrea. ( males)

Overlooking the lagoon, hotel Russo Palace is conveniently located 10mts walk from Lido SME ferry terminal, which is easily accessible via waterbus from airport and train station. Professional staff, clean and reasonably spacious room with decent breakfast options. Although, there is a bus service that drops you next to the hotel, we preferred the walk absorbing the fantastic view of the lagoon.

Hotel is everything and more than we expected. Having an attic room worked well for us. The shower was the best. Good constant hot water, excellent pressure and room. Getting all 3 is rare anywhere in the world . The bed was very comfortable and it was lovely to look at the sky at night. We did not have breakfast but did have the €5.0 coffee, croissant and juice if short in time. The ferries were great and having a pass meant we went everywhere possible. Many go to Lido, take the 5.2 or 5.1 to and from the railway station. Our suitcases went on board with little problem. The ferries are full so be prepared to stand.

A beautiful hotel in a great location, a few minutes walk from the water bus stops, good local restaurants and bars, and the beach. Very helpful and attentive staff, a beautiful bedroom and an exceptional breakfast which we ate outdoors under the pretty balcony at the front of the hotel..

We ve just returned from 4 nights here, with my two teenage girls. We've had the best holiday and will be returning here many times with our other two girls ( and their families) and our parents. The hotel has the most beautiful pool and the apartments are perfect. We couldn't have asked for more. The staff were kind and helpful too. The location is a 10-15 min walk to the public boat to Venice. It's well worth getting a pass for this. We loved every second of our holiday! Thankyou Le Ville Del Lido!! X

this hotel is in Lido island. and apparently, you have can only arrive in ferry or flight. lido is a small island, and this hotel is really near to the vehicle ferry point. cost 27 euro to send a fiat 500 + 2 passenger across and another 27 euros to return next day. hotel was classic italian design with back yard and a very weird gate. we were told that we have to scan the access card at the front gate which will open the gate and to enter the hotel, we need to scan the automatic glass door and wait for 40 seconds before the door will open ... i asked myself .. why 40 sec??? it was a long wait in the cold night outside ... but the room was great and classy, breakfast was prepared when we went in. so it was fresh. since the island is small, going to the city center is a 5 min drive with almost no traffic light. life is slow in the island, so it makes no purpose to stay there for long. price for this hotel is reasonable for this quality. and its next to the airport.

Nice room. Lido is convenient for the biennale in Venezia. Close to lido cafes and stores. Nice staff.

This little hotel was small so no restaurant or even any staff there in the afternoon. Room was ok but the TV was smaller than my iPad.. 5 min walk to the beach. 5 min walk to the main street. Breakfast was decent. A bit annoying that they only put one small shampoo in the shower so don’t expect to have shampoo if you want to shower more than once a day.

We were upgraded from double room in hotel to an apartment down the road from the main hotel which was amazing big place with lovely gardens - sleeps 4 as double bed and sofa bed which my son used - said it was comfortable and I can say the Kingsize bed was very comfortable. Had a little kitchenette there with fridge, dish washer - my only criticism was there was no batteries in TV remote which did mention next day and the WiFi wasn't explained to us until asked and took many attempts of trying different numbers as password is not marked clearly on box... My suggestion would be for owner to do a little manual. Otherwise lovely place and would say 9.5 out of 10 and breakfast was great - loads of it too with lovely smiley staff! Would like to return again one day we liked the place so much & location couldn't be better too!

stayed there for three nights, the hotel is excelent located away from all the rush of venice and just ten min away. Our room was spacious and had another small room with TV, but best of all, as we stood in the ground floor, it had a yard where we could sit and enjoy the nice view over Venice.The fact of being just near the boat stop to Venice, turns to be very useful.People who work there are very nice and friendly.

The hotel staff were SO helpful, they couldn’t have done more for us. The hotel is very quaint, so if you like a priemier inn/holiday inn type of hotel, this won’t be for you. The hotel is situated opposite the water bus terminal which makes getting anywhere easy. It’s 15 mins on the water bus to St Marks square. St Marks square is so busy, it’s nice coming back to Lido where it is a bit quieter, less expensive but still quite lively (lots of bars and restaurants). On our last day we went to the beach which was the perfect way to unwind after a busy weekend site seeing. The water bus back to the airport takes about an hour.

The Villa Mabapa Hotel is located on Lido, approximately a 10 min walk along the sea-front from the main water-bus terminal. We arrived hot and tired just before lunch, after a very early flight from Stansted and were met by very welcoming staff who let us check in straight away. Our room was clean and well maintained, consisting of a bedroom with large double bed, a separate sitting room and a bathroom. The only (very minor) problem with the room was that the shower didn't work very well, with water coming out of the side of the shower head rather than through the holes. This didn't bother us and so we didn't inform the hotel staff. Breakfast was good, consiting of various different cereals, tinned and fresh fruit, various breads, hams and cheeses. Different fruit jiuces and coffee and tea were also served. We didn't spend much time in the hotel, however, it was great to come back to such a quiet place to relax after a day exploring the crowded streets of Venice.

hotel villa delle palme is located in Lido ina residential street which makes you feel at ease and comfortable. the location is around a 8 minutes walk to the vaporetto station which goes around venice. room comes with free continental breakfast which was ok. a 5 minute walk brings you to plenty restaurant choices, some shops and a supermarket. rooms are big with an old victorian feel.

It is located in Lido island which is quite from traffic in main Venice. Close to Water Bus station and good ocean view from the building. Room was clean and has all items needed during 5night stay, and owner was helpful always. Highly recommend for family guests

We really liked Hotel Venezia 2000. We got an upgrade when we arrived and were made welcome. The bed was very comfortable, good water pressure in the shower, plenty of towels. It is very easy to get to the hotel from the Lido Vaporetto Stop by Bus A which stops right in front of the hotel and runs every 20 minutes. Breakfast is delicious with lots of choices. There is fresh fruit salad and other fruits, yogurts, cereals, different kinds of croissants and cakes, cooked items etc. We had a couple of dinners there, too, and really liked the food. The Lido is nice and relaxing after a day of sightseeing in Venice.

Excellent Hotel! Only downfall is there are no windows if you are staying on the top floor so you miss out on quality people watching. The staff is very helpful and Venice is only a short Vaporetto away.

We just felt home. Room was bigger than we anticipated. Marco was so helpful and accommodating. We can’t wait to come back to Lido!!!
