Well positioned hotel. Pleasant staff - especially reception and veg/breakfast restaurant.
Checkout was made difficult as they couldn’t find my booking I made online for a extra night we booked. We had to pay twice.

Great place to stay, good to have a pool. Don't miss a visit to see 200 or so snakes milked of venom for antidote & cancer treatment, also great to see 400+ crocodile conservation in the same place, plus giant tortoises etc. unbelievable for 30 rupees. Only 10k away.
Quality food served for breakfast buffet. Their restaurant is exceptionally good compared to what is available around. Excellent service at stay place and restaurants. Highly recommend
Good hotel close to the sites”
Pros: The location is very good. It is a very short (5 min) walk to the “free sites” i.e. Arjuna’s Penance, Varaha Mandapa etc. The shore temple and the beach is also at walking distance. The lunch thali is excellent. Dinner is good provided you stick to South Indian fares. Tariff is reasonable. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and both are spacious. There is not much noise and place is quiet. Front desk and staff were courteous and they helped with all our travel needs. Breakfast spread and taste is very good. Cons: Breakfast was a bit slow in getting served.
Friendly staff, superb location”
the hotel is located right on the main thoroughfare, a few steps from the bus terminal. very convenient if you wish to take an onward journey by bus. this hotel is located away from the other touristy hotels, but still it is within walking distance to everywhere, including the temples, the park with the rocks behind, and the touristy stores nearer to the beach. there is even a roof-top swimming pool and roof-top restaurant. the staff greeted me by name and with a smile when i arrived. it showed me that they were very aware of who are their guests who are arriving and that certainly gave me very good impression of them. my room was quite standard and the bathroom was not very good quality (leaky tap). as it was located right outside the breakfast room, it got noisy rather early. but overall, i was pleased with my stay.
It's a great value for money stay with amazing food, staffs & front desk are extremely supportive.”
Location has a good parking space with very nice 2 restaurant. Due to non availability I had to choose a queen size room for 2 adult and 1 infant, hope king size room would have been more comfortable. Staffs along with operations manager we're very friendly and cooperative. Nice stay over all.
Personal good, restaurant good, room little bit simple, swimming pool excelent. But over all why not next time :-) (Room 208 - pls fix fan under ceiling fan, making noise)
Staff so friendly position perfect for all sight seeing. ”
Most friendly hotel . Staff are so great
Very friendly staff, great swimming pool central location quite
5 minutes from all sights...”
The hotel is walkable to the bus stand, the shore temple, the 5 raithas, and the beach. There is no reason to take a taxi anywhere. The staff is very friendly, the pool a nice bonus, and the rooms comfortable and clean. Only small improvement would be the breakfast. Unless you love south Indian food, your only options are cornflakes and fruit.
what you pay for is what you get”
This hotel definitely needs some renovations. it is looking outdated and tired. Saying that, for the rate that you are paying, you cannot expect 5 star. The location is perfect though. within walking distance to Arjuna Palace, Krishna Butterball and Shore temple.
Nice hotel, good food and centrally located”
We had a comfortable stay. The food in Mamalla Heritage was really nice, the location (close to Sea Shore Temple and Arjuna's Penance) is also great. The staff at the hotel were nice and friendly. The bad part was that the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. In fact, the bucket and mug kept in the bathroom was quite dirty which was a big turn off.
Stay in the hotel was very comfortable. ”
Very comfortable stay. Staff was very cordial and was always ready to help. Management was very caring. I had accidently had a few cut and bruises on my hand. The hotel staff took me to a nearby doctor and got me treated. Time again they asked about my well being. I would like to stay in the hotel again if I visit Mahabalipuram.
Best hotel and wonderful service in Mahabalipuram”
Best hotel in town with wonderful services located at the middle of the town with all necessary features. The people are very honest and cordial. During my 2 day stay there was a long power cut and phone/internet disconnections in the entire town so my wifi connection could not be utilised. WhenI told this to the assistants at the desk, without a single word, they agreed to refund the wifi charges though it was not their fault. I appreciate this guest friendly attitude of the service assistants. My check out time exceeded their time limits. However they agreed to take care of my luggages for more than 3 hours at their lockers without any extra charges. Again a reflection of the management's guest friendly attitude. The same experience can be had in their restaurants too which has a wonderful ambience suitable to all kinds of people.
if it has deluxe I did not see them”
pick up requested and done just fine at the airport for transfer to the hotel. arrived midnight and asked to be sure i got a good room and the reply all rooms are good at the hotel, but we got a room ground floor, frosted windows you can't look out, the lighting so poor, but it is clean and breakast certainly adequate. we were promised hot water on arrival, but none until 7am when it was turned on so a very long day and then if you like bathing in cold water off to bed. staff in the dining room certainly accommodating and smiling. reception staff ok....easy to check in at midnight. but just a fine if not great location and off the street rooms so all in all it was good.
Great location service with smile”
Three stories building, no elevator. Room is okay a bit small, hot water was always only warm, in the 20 to 24 degree weather was like had a bath with cold water. Staffs were eager to serve, but Internet wasn't really worked even we paid the fee, no refund. On site restaurant was okay, food okay, but limited choice.
Staff is very friendly. Hotel looks well.”
room is ok, but bathroom requires repair with walls and floor. room is quite dark and grey feeling appearance, but still ok for regular, but does not correspond to the deluxe category. location is very nice. breakfast is good. staff and roomservice is very friendly and quick, what is very unusual for hindu people. if i come to mamalapuram again, most likely, i would stay at this hotel again. the price is reasonable for the quality you get there.
Very friendly staff, organised a great taxi service for us at a good rate when we left. Bed linen and towels very clean and cleaning service great, always asked to clean our room whatever time we left. Breakfast basic but nice, staff even called our room to check if we wanted breakfast when we decided to miss it one day. Our bathroom was a little tired and grubby with a window that wouldn't close properly but OK. Aircon took some time to re-start after frequent breaks in power which could be a little annoying during the night.seating on the terrace outside the rooms is a nice touch. Wifi in rooms reliable and not too expensive. 2 restaurants on site, one on the roof terrace. We didn't use the pool but it looked great and the location of the hotel is fantastic, all in all I'd definitely recommend it.
