A must for first timers”
Our honeymoon and first trip to Maldives, 4d3n. If this is your first time to Maldives and you are lost for choices, just come to Meeru Island Resort and SPA. Don't waste time searching. My wife doesn't want to leave and is asking me to go home myself. Either I'm a lousy husband or Meeru is just too huge a gem. We stayed first at the Jacuzzi Beach Villa and easily got ourselves transferred to the Jacuzzi Water Villa the next day while we were out doing excursions. Breathtaking upon arrival. Food in abundance where I put on a few KGs. With all inclusive package, you will get drunk anytime of the day. Snorkeling on the west coast is fantastic. Just make sure u swim along with the current. Kayak, mini golf, world cup screening, buggies, nature trail, 4km white sandy beaches, dolpines, sunset cruise, you name it they got it all at a very very affordable price compared to the other resorts around. We made so much great experience, memories and friends. Will surely come back for a longer stay. Value for money beats the rest hands down. I'm not sure what else we could have asked for. We had an over the wayer jacuzzi hut. Spotless room with great amenities and walked right into the water for snorkelling. Staff were ALL friendly. Food in Buffet was EXTRAORDINARY!!! Cannot say this enough, breakfast lunch and dinner buffet were best I've seen in over 35 years of travel. Location was divine. Amenities were clean and modern. Family friendly too. Transfer by boat took just under an hour and was hassle free. Cannot think of anything I would have changed except for wanting to stay a lot longer. We plan on going back to the Maldives however can't even imagine staying anywhere else now. We got the all inclusive package and recommend that. You could stay elsewhere and pay double and not get as much.

Surpassed our expectations”
We had absolutely wonderful time at this resort. To begin with, the location and the island itself is simply perfect - it has plenty of white sand beaches all around the island, plenty of shade, beautiful, lush nature, abundance of corals to explore, but most importantly for me, the crystal blue waters stretched as far as the horizon. The good things is that the west and north side had waters deep enough to swim before the corals started, the east side has more reef starting sooner to the shore- perfect for snorkeling. There are soo many picturesque spots on the island, all kinds of swings and lonely palms trees, leaning into the ocean. I cannot express just how perfect this piece of a land is . Another point to discuss is the service- from inquiries about food alergies and prefferances, to going extra mile in making you feel comfortable. The service is working like a super smooth, well oiled machine- waters will notice you need assistance before you even turn to them, the hotel has an application where you can easily book excursions or see any changes/cancelations. I read some reviews from people, who had full board and felt being treated like less worthy customers, so I was a bit concerned, because we had FB too, but from the moment we came, we never felt treated any less. On the contrary, we were soo pleasantly surprised to find out that we got an upgrade from a garden room to a beach jacuzzi villa. We also got a compliment from the hotel in form of fruits and champagne because of our anniversary. The free covid test for people staying over 7 nights, was also a very good incentive. The catering had the best choice we have seen yet, tailored to vegetarians, vegans, meat eaters, everyone! The variety was great and the food quality was worth the extra plate. The only misuderstanding that happened was the 340USD transfer fee which we had paid in cash and then got charged again the other day. But we spoke to a receptionist and that was promptly resolved. A Complete Experience”
It was a surprise trip for my wife for our 20th wedding anniversary. It was worth every penny. You do not need to hop on to multiple islands. Everything is available in this island. Staff were very courteous and helpful. Housekeeping is done twice a day. We stayed at the Jacuzzi water villas and it was awesome. We saw baby sharks, Reef sharks, sting rays and other fish. On the shore itself, there are some corals and with the snorkeling mask, you can see those colorful fishes also (for those who do not know swimming). Ok top of all these, food was great (lot of variety) and those people who work there are also awesome. Enjoyed the trip.

Exceptional”
I had the absolute best vacation of my life at Meeru Island Resort. The island has everything on offer - land activities such as sports, water sports, snorkelling and diving (although there are other Maldivian resorts with much better experience at this, but Meeru provides a good and fair experience at this too), excursions and experiences such as romantic beach dinner, isolated island picnic and many more. The food buffet was absolutely amazing, and one can enjoy varied drinks at the beach along with great service experience at most of their bars (Dhoni bar is the most happening of them all, and All-Inclusive is recommended) We did it all - the romantic beach dinner was the best of them all. I loved snorkelling as well given it was my first time. The Duniye Spa experience was also very good. The island is big (which can have its advantages for romance) and has various rooms to offer which one can choose from - we split our stay at different rooms enjoying the Jaccuzzi Water Villa as well. Meeru is one of the best Maldivian resorts with its USP being you can expetience it all over here. The staff is polite and helpful, and I enjoyed ever day of my staff here.

I'm overjoyed to be here. Your resort is breathtaking. All of the staff here are extremely friendly and helpful, and we are extremely fortunate to have two Thai staff members who are assisting us in every way possible. The benefits are the most generous I've seen, and everything is explained and made simple. The staff seem to remember everything about you, including your room number, name, favorite food, and favorite. Sharks, turtles, and other fish can be seen swimming around your room (Water villa). And everyone on the Sunset trip with the dolphins is extremely nice and friendly. I'm so fortunate to be able to dine at Maalan Buffet Restaurant. It is quieter and more orderly than Farivalhu Buffet Restaurant. The scenery is breathtaking. You can have a meal with a view of the sea.

We had the best time. When we arrived, we were shaken by the performance of the staff and the warm welcome. Every staff member I passed greeted me and made me feel as if I had returned to my hometown. The buffet was delicious, the friendly staff, the entertainment, and the food filled my body and soul. I heard that about 600 people are employed here. Thank you to the people who take care of the garden, the cleaning staff,etc... and the many people who support us during our time here. We will be back again.

Meeru delivers yet again!”
We stayed for a week on Meeru and had a fabulous time. The service and friendliness of everyone you met on the island was amazing. The food was really great, with enough variety to satisfy our teenagers as well. Unless you are a foodie or picky eater, book the all-inclusive package, and you will be fine. We drank enough mocktails and cocktails to fill a bath tub. Facilities are beyond what most islands in the Maldives can offer with a crazy variety of sports including a 9 hole pitch and putt course! Snorkling was decent, with the most interesting things on the east side of the island, especially near or under the north water villas. There is a resident turtle there, as well as huge sting rays and black tip reef sharks. The Turtle explorer excursion is totally worth it and will have you snorkelling with nurse sharks and turtles galore. We did not go diving this time but the Eurodivers center seemed to have everything you need including nitrox. We were sad to leave the island but would come back again for sure.

Wonderful experience at Meeru”
We had a 5 Nights and 6 day stay at Meeru Island Resort & SPA and our experience was simply out of the world. Our Properties [ We did a split stay ] 1. Beach Villa - Beach property 10-30 meters away from the beach 2. Jacuzzi Beach Villa - Beach property with an inhouse jacuzzi 10- 30 meters away from the beach 3. Jacuzzi water Villa – Overwater villa with jacuzzi and direct access to the water below ( Stairs ) – this is their flagship property and is very neatly done Note : All rooms come with beach towels in-case you want to take a dip in the beach water. Water villas come with 2 life jackets in-case you are not good at swimming but want to take a dip in the ocean below. ( This we believe was very thoughtful) Onboarding Process We had to visit the counter number 59 at the Male Airport where all the resort properties are there and the procedure was super smooth . The courteous staff guided us to the boat ( airconditioned) and it took about 50 mins to reach the property. The staff gave a warm musical welcome at the property upon arrival and completed our onboarding ( took about 15 mins ) and we were also given some cold hand towel and a welcome drink ( Ice Tea ) . Food at Meeru Island If you are on a full board plan , all the three major meals are covered in it. Breakfast ( 7 A.M to 9 A.M ) , Lunch ( 12 Noon to 2 P.M ) , Dinner ( 7 P.M to 9.PM ) . The main restaurant is called Malaan and its pretty spacious to accommodate a large number of guests. The spread across all three meals are very diverse and it lets you experience global cuisine. The quality of fruits , veggies and meat was very fresh and considering it’s a remote island they have done a very good job at it. There are some really scenic seating spots by the beach ( Day and Night ) . Night dining by the beach is very romantic. DEFINITELY WORTH IT- BEST TRIP EVER”
Meeru Island Resort and Spa DEFINITELY didn't disappoint. I was very skeptical before going as it was so inexpensive comparatively to other resorts. In fact, the main reason I chose it was because of the price and because it only required a speedboat instead of a plane to get there and I only had a few days to spare. Upon arrival it seemed a little sketchy as the people at the Meeru station waved me off and told me to go wait in the restaurant and they would come find me. Don't be alarmed. They found me and we were off on the boat within an hour of me landing. The boat was a little rough as it had just rained and it was choppy and where I was sitting didn't have a window so I recommend you be one of the first passengers on the boat for choice of seat. After about an hour we pulled up to the island. We were greeted with traditional music by many workers on the island. Check in was VERY smooth as they came to us each individually and I was shortly taken to my room. (My bags were already there) I had on over water jacuzzi Villa in the 7oo's on the sunset side and it was GORGEOUS. Looks exactly like the pictures if not better. At night a light shines in the water and you can watch all the fish (and sharks) play. VERY COOL. The next day was my birthday and after going to breakfast, the room was made special for the day and decorated with flowers and palms. They really paid attention. At the spa that day I was given a gift (GET THE SPA TREATMENTS! Emi is THE BEST) and at dinner that night my table was decorated by my very new waiter Mahin (He was precious as he was still in training but very attentive and we became friends over our time there.) The pools and the view is gorgeous. The island is very walkable but you can also call for a buggy any time to transport you. The events in the evening were so fun, especially the traditions night. Amazing holiday”
Meeru was amazing! Jacuzzi Water Villas are amazing, and very comfortable. Resort has everything you could possibly want. Lots to do and see if that’s your thing, alternatively laze around and do nothing. Food choice is incredible, there truely is something for everyone. All inclusive package is outstanding value. Drinks , Snacks, and lots more included and well worth the money if you are party animals like us!😂. I really have nothing bad to say about this place, staff make you feel like a VIP the whole time you are there.

We just got back from our holiday at Meeru island resort. It was really amazing everyone on the island is working hard, to give you the the best possible experience for your holiday. The whole crew is constantly cleaning up the island, so even the last corner is looking gorgeous. The food was always perfect, the chefs are constantly cooking on a high level and there's alot of variation so there difently will be something for everyone. Overall we can say this was our best holiday so far, a big thanks to all the employees of Meeru Resort for doing such an amazing job. We're looking forward to our next visit

Beyond expectations”
Me and my wife went for our honeymoon to Meeru. Although one restaurant and one bar was closed (it is HUGE) due to a low number of guests, it was still one of the best experiences ever. Everything was just perfect. The staff at reception, housekeeping, the views, the hospitality. Its almost like they get hurt if they are not at your service a few minutes before you actually need them :D We had the All Inclusive Plus which I would recommend to get because of the value it offers. We also saw a lot of dolphins on the sunset cruise. My best experience was with the staff at Dhoni Bar, as I had the best times there every evening/night! The food was great and there was always something for all kinds of people and culinary preferences. The Jacuzzi was cleaned every other day, so were the bed linens. The rooms were cleaned spotless as if its my first day in there again. I cannot put into words how good they are with what they do. Would definitely want to go again and recommend to others!

Amazing stay for solo traveler”
I had a wonderful stay at Meeru! The jacuzzi over water bungalows are simply a dream. Big, clean rooms with a balcony and steps leading right to the water. The included buffet was expansive and delicious. There were different choices every day for every meal. I loved the carving station and pasta station. The staff was amazing. Very accommodating and everything is run like a well oiled machine, especially the restaurant. The pools were beautiful and well maintained. The highlight was just laying on the beautiful white sand beach and enjoying the view. This was a great value for the money as many other over water bungalows we’re twice as expensive elsewhere. I look forward to returning to Meeru!

In brief, I just want to say that it is really the best option for its price value. Food There is plenty of choices in the buffet both breakfast, lunch and dinner. Maybe there would be more options for cheese in breakfast time. Everyday there was an ice cream at dinner ❣️ Meals are really delicious. Gluten free, vegan and pork options, halal meats. There is no chance to leave the buffet with empty stomach. And Kasim, thank you for everything, you even memorized we drink tea after our meals, and you served without waiting our request. Room Very clean. Staff came everyday for cleaning. Towels, blankets, dryer, air conditioner, ceiling fan, hangers, safe, coffee/tea options, refillable water bottles, sofa, shampoo even moisturizer, open air shower and really spacious room. Plugs are compatible with most, even there is usb options. You can maybe bring your pluggable fly& insect repeller not because of mosquitos but for ants. They really bite. Beach&Pool There are bars near pools. Pools are big enough and water is clean. There are hot towels provided. Beachs, sands are very impressive. One side of the island is windy while other is stable. You can choose where to swim according to weather. Everyday there is snorkeling option with trainer for free. You must swim while sunset, and watch it lying back on chaise longue. Beautiful sunset, visible stars at night. Transportation It took almost an hour to get the island. We didn’t wait at the airport much. When we arrived, we are welcomed with an iced tea and some ceremonies. When we return home, our flight was at night, they didn’t put us on airport at early hours. We packed our staff and enjoy the island till 7 pm. In the island you can call buggy to transfer you to place you want. But buggy staff we encountered is rude to us. Meeru Island Resort & Spa was the perfect location (far enough from Male but not needing to take another flight), and selecting the Jacuzzi Water Villa was the perfect choice of accommodation (706 was also the best positioned in our opinion - not a long walk to the room, and we also had view of beach and water instead of just water). We were a couple with no children and so we put into the Northern villas which is an adult only area (kids can still wander the whole island, but accommodation on the North is adults only), which has an adult only bar and restaurant. There's also an adult only pool and another bar near the other water villas. If you have no children travelling with you, then request a villa on the sunset side of the Northern villas for that awesome evening view. The room was perfect with jacuzzi and steps down to the water. We also had nightly fish and reef shark visitors to view off our balcony. There was a regular visit from a heron/crane that would hope to catch dinner. The resort has everything you could want - white sand beaches, crystal clear waters, as well as tennis, golf, badminton and even football facilities for those looking a little more activity. Bring your boots and join in with the Staff vs Guest match played on Sundays. The staff were all amazing - polite, courteous and attentive. It would have just been nice to see ALL guests show the staff the same manners they were given. I was embarrassed by some who felt privileged and could not even muster up a please or thank you. Manners cost nothing! The only negative we could find was when we took a walk on the West side of the island - it would be great if the resort could employ a team to walk the beach daily to collect any plastic and cut fruit that found itself washed up. It was disappointing to see the amount of plastic floating in the area, not just on Meeru. Overall we had a great 6 days, 5 nights, and would highly recommend Meeru Island Resort & Spa to all.

STAY HERE!! Cannot recommend Meeru enough!”
I accidentally clicked solo, but my friend and I stayed here just this week. 100% worth it. Everything was wonderful. From check-in to send-off, everyone was SO friendly and helpful. We got a steal on 2 overwater villas and I don't regret a minute of it. The rooms were wonderful, the beds are comfy, the AC is wonderful after a full day out in the sun, and the minibar was always stocked. You literally want for nothing. We definitely recommend the all-inclusive, you have everything available to you. Also, bring USD for tips and any extras everything is paid in USD. While there is A LOT included we also did some unincluded excursions, so be aware that you may see a few more costs - they were our choice and totally worth it. Special shout outs to our server - Manik, Front desk - Jenny, spa staff - Emi & Novi, Ali and Shifau from the dive center, and Shimah from Asian Wok. YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING! Thank you again!

Full relax on island with a lot of activites”
We was here for 11 nights and it was a very good holidays. Most important things: A lot of activities (golf, tennis, table tennis, badminton, billiard, darts, kicker, chess) - so, if you wanna some action - you will have it. Very tasty food - breakfasts is similar every day (I think it's OK), but lunches and dinners every day was different, but every time was tasty. One thing - it's not a lot of fish (but tuna will be every day), but a lot of meat and very interesting vegetarian dishes. Drinks - it's good, not like in a best bars in my city, but good. Snorkelling - it's some good places near hotel to snorkelling (and they have special free trip for home reef, but's as for me - reefs near hotel better) - we saw a lot of fishes, cramp-fish, sharks and turtles - and it's all near hotel and near our water villa. Internet - fast enough for work or Netflix serials (not 4k quality of course, but HD is ok) In sum - I recommend this hotel for all people!
