Mendoza City Center hotels & places to stay

We stayed twice before and after a trip to Iguazu falls.. Very good price especially since our room had many more beds than we needed. Staff was kind and friendly, one spoke english quite well, the others not as much. They let us store our bags for a few days as we went to puerto iguazu. The hot water shower on the top floor private room had an issue with the taps - I think there was hot water but the tap wasn't working properly. The other room we stayed in had decent hot water. All rooms and bathrooms were clean. The internet is a bit flaky but there are two routers and one seems to work if the other does not. They do organize some tours from the hostel but I'm guessing they work with local companies. It didn't have a social atmosphere although it did have a bunch of couches and a little patio area to hang out in. For us this was just fine, we had to get some work done and just wanted a clean, relaxed, safe place to stay.

Nice hotel but needs a lot of maintenance. Breakfast very good. View price too high for low quality

We stayed for two days, it was agreat location in a very nice city of Mendoza. The location was great, everything was so close, even bus station. The restaurant in the hotel was beautiful, the food was delicious, the breakfast was great, the staff at the reception was very kind and prepared to help. We did two wonderful bus tours : around the city and in the high mountains, it was really great.

Staff were very discriminatory and rude. We arrived earlier than check in time at 1130am but they only allowed us a check in at 3pm despite MANY guests leaving at 11am. When we tried booking tours/needed help contacting tour agencies, front desk staff who didnt speak much english(?!) were unfriendly and reluctant to help. Second night stay room was filled with a sewage smell to which a complaint got us a change of room, thankfully. Breakfast was good. Don't expect great staff service otherwise, typical 4 star hotel

The Hotel Raices Aconcagua is a very nice place to stay in while traveling to Mendoza. The location is great - very central, close to many bars, cafes and shps. In a walking distance, just two to five minutes, there are few parks. The rooms a re simple and clean and the staff is very friendly and useful. It is great to be located in the city centre.

The location of the hotel is great. Across from the Plaza Italia. Very close to the central Independencia Park which is a large welcome green space surrounded by streets with a wide choice of restaurants. The swimming pool on the roof has a great view of the city and the mountains to the west. Look for the huge crucifix in the foothills. THe pool is big enought to relax in and the roof is great for getting some sun. Mendoza is clean and easy to get around in. After crossing the Andes from Chile it was a good hotel to relax in. Avoid the first floor rooms, they are dark.

this hotel is a great location about one block from the center of town and the main city park. the rooms are very nice and clean. the walls are very thin, but it was not an issue for us. there is a roof top gym and and a beautiful pool downstairs. the staff was great. we stayed 3 extra nights and enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Our first night did not start well as there was water leaking from a heater in our room -the staff stopped the leak but the smell from the wet carpet was awful. After nothing else was done to freshen the room the next day, we managed to change rooms. Our room was not serviced on any of the 4 days we stayed - each day we had to ask for clean towels, toilet paper, etc and on no occasion did the staff tell us why our room had not been serviced. Only when we checked out were we told that we were supposed to leave our room key at reception each day if we wanted our room serviced. We asked to speak to the manager so we could talk to him about the problems during our stay. The manager , Mr Cesar Olivera, was phoned twice and on both occasions refused to meet with us or even talk to us over the phone - all he would agree to was to come to the Hotel the following morning, but of course he already knew we would have left before he arrived. We blame him for poor staff training and management and not having sufficient processes in place during the check in procedure. Breakfast was satisfactory, but basic. Wifi was only available in the lobby which was also frustrating.

It is a nice hotel in a good location - 2nd best hotel in Mendoza Pros- Good price, close to lots of shopping & restaurants, staff friendly, Large rooms, good breakfast Cons - If you do not speak Spanish, there is only one TV Channel that is in English & no premium channels, lighting in room a bit dim - especially the bathroom, no irons allowed (lots of people in wrinkly cloths)

a great hotel room in mendoza, especially considering some of the scary options i saw nearby. walking distance to downtown and restaurants, bars. the pool is well maintained and has a nice, small deck area for cooling off from the sweltering city heat. the kitchenette was very small but functional. wifi is a bit sketchy and goes in and out. front desk staff don’t speak english, so be sure to do your own research for excursions and getting around the if you don’t speak any spanish.

we liked this hotel very much for the price, we paid $76 in high season whihc was a deal. the breakfast was ok, not eggs or anything hot other than coffee/tea. we found that all hotels gave eggs so it was a bit unusual not ot have something hot. the wi-fi worked great and the lobby has 2 free computers for use which was also handy. the location is about 15 min walk to downtown which we liked. the rooms are a good size, but you'll need earplugs for sleeping as you do in most of south america given the traffic and joy of honking.

The Mod is an excellent hotel - clean, modem spacious rooms , a nice pool and very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is also good. The only real downside is the location. It’s on the eastern edge of Mendoza, a good 20 minutes walk from the restaurants and bars on Sarmiento and about 40 minutes from Villanueva. I suggest a taxi !

This is a good place to stay in Mendoza, the central local is convenient to bus station, market, restarants. They also has a counter to book local tours.

Peaceful, pleasant and I was impressed about the help from the staff members. They go above and beyond to make your stay feels amazing and to help with anything.

Hotel organized empanadas cooking dinner for free! For breakfast they served free fresh pancake and fresh scrambled eggs - just unbelievable.

This hotel is right in the heart of Mendoza. The staff are friendly and most speak English which is a plus when you only speak a little Spanish. We found the hotel to be very clean however the room was small but that was only a minor issue. A buffet Argentine breakfast which was most enjoyable, but don't expect bacon and eggs. Also, the room rate was value for money. Overall, a pleasant stay and would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Whilst the hotel is centrally located, it is in great need of mantainence. When we arrived the toilet in our room leaked fresh water when it was flushed. It took them three days and four requests later to fix it. The room was very run down, curtains were broken and stained, bed spreads and towels were very badly stained, there were no mattress protectors on the beds and the floor was very dusty. The bathroom was in need of a good clean to remove the mold and the the shower was pretty poor in pressure. Whilst we appreciated this was an older hotel, it looks like it hasn't been maintained in a very long time. Which is a shame as it could have so much charm. The staff were quite friendly with the expection of the manager who was obviously annoyed with any request and was very rude about payment when we first arrived. We wouldn't stay here again but if you choose too.

We enjoyed our stay in this little and friendly hotel. Victoria is very nice and the hotel is very familiar. The two dogs are gorgeous.

The accommodation was very modern and had all the amenities we required as a couple. The location is walking distance to a number of restaurants, bars and trains/buses. Marcela and Paula were absolutely wonderful and so helpful. We enjoyed the bottle of wine from Solandes. Totally recommend this place.

Paulina and her mother Amalia were really warm and wonderful hosts. They were very helpful with tips on the area and definitely went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. The place was also very clean, spacious (it would've been a great spot for a family to stay) and I loved the garden that was in the back. The location was perfect and safe and I absolutely loved Mendoza and all of it's charm! Thank you Paulina and Amalia for everything! :)

Overlooking Plaza Independencia the 9th floor terrace is a great location. Gaby, the proprietor, was very helpful, although his English is limited. The shared facilities are the main drawback, but that is filtered into the price.

The apartment was roomy and clean, but the host did not seem to even know we were arriving and we had to wait until the evening for the place to be cleaned last minute. We never met the host either, so not overly impressed.

Social but not an obnoxious party vibe, lots of hosted events and tours you can book there, very cool and helpful staff. Clean beds, hot showers, wifi works, two super cute dogs, great vibes. I really enjoyed my stay here. Only downside, the bathrooms are small and a bit unclean. Otherwise I’d recommend this place definitely!
