Myrtle Beach City Center hotels & places to stay

I was very pleasantly surprised ! Even with renovations going on while I was there the staff and facilities were amazing ! Could not have asked for a better vacation. Very clean & staff went above and beyond. The valet service was well worth the extra money too .

There were a few bugs at night. But it's the South, at the beach. The pools were beautiful, the view amazing, the staff so friendly and professional, the Yella Umbrella poolside bar OUTSTANDING (yells out to To. Ronnie and Kayla) - such kind women. Rose Room breakfast across the street, an included part of the stay, excellent. I was at the resort 5 or 6 days, and it was completely peaceful. My only complaint? My broken heart at an enormous loss of my family (not from there!); whom I complain about is MYSELF for burdening the staff with MY tears. And they listened. And they showed great compassion. A WONDERFUL place with wonderful people. 15 Stars.

This hotel is at a great location, close to the beach, oceanfront room view was excellent. Room was clean, but not spotless. Bathroom was old and dated. Carpet throughout was dirty, needs a good shampooing. The pool area was really nice. Tiki Bar was nice and reasonably priced. Most enjoyable was the pool area. There were many families with children having fun. The biggest disappointment was Martins. We had dinner there the first night, I ordered Lobster, my spouse ordered veal. The fresh baked rolls were stale and hard. The lettuce in our salads were rusty, salads looked like they were made a week ago. Lobster was tasteless, butter served with it was margarine. Yuk. This is a pricey place, so I would recommend eating somewhere else.

Chose on the basis of hot tub, sauna, bar and inside pool and saw none of these. There was no cable and cd's had to be gotten from the lobby but only one movie at a time was allowed. Chose a side view room to see part of the ocean and city but could see neither because they were blocked by trees.

This resort is amazing... we never even went to the beach there was so much to do and the water park was awesome! Our room was in the Kingston plantation condos... it was nice but our room didn’t get consistent daily housekeeping so we had to ask for several things but the staff was quick to accommodate. I’ll definitely be back to Kingston plantation.

First at all the resort was built completely out of mind!! Yes, it was very cold and that made the stay horrible because my suite was on the rear end of the resort -Palms Tower -and the only way to go to the indoor water park is to exit the resort walk through the valet service and walk in the frigid weather..!!! I asked to change and to stay in a different side of it but they were full(?). Anyway to use the lazy river you still had to get out of the resort and walk to go to the other wing, the Palmetto Tower..and the fitness center was on the fifth floor,not safe to use alone ....because of the position of it. The parking garage is across from the resort !!!! You have to cross north ocean blvd to get to it. Yes, the weather was not helping but it is too much of an hassle to use any of the amneties without a cover connection .Sorry but we did NOT enjoyed staying here.

Everyone was very welcoming, eager to help. The room was amazing. Very comfortable, small for my family but that was my fault because the kind of room I booked. I would book with them for sure again in the future.

Staff willingness to assist me and accommodate my family beyond the wrecklessness of the third party booking agency.

The front desk was quite helpful, we were in need of directions around the area and they were quite helpful giving us easy to understand and clear directions each time. Everyone was friendly and the breakfast was well prepared and the ladies running the breakfast were friendly and helpful. I accidently spilled my coffee and the lady stepped in and cleaned it before I could even help! Also, they kept the area very neat and clean.

Nice location, they only clean your room every forth day. When your on a beach it should be done daily. We were on the top floor, pigeons were on our balcony all the time, not once did anyone clean the poop up. Made our balcony useless. Had a water stain on the ceiling $5.00 worth of paint would have taken care of

The beach access was very convenient. One can walk from hotel to the beach and enjoy a nice stroll any time. Our room was fine, though we did have to call the front desk for the blow dryer and extra shampoo--there was only one bottle for a 4-person room. There wasn't a hotel directory, and we couldn't find an ice machine on our floor. When we asked a cleaning staff, she didn't know either. We booked the hotel b/c it boasted of beach access and several swimming pools, lazy river, pirate ship, water slides, etc. Perhaps it was because of the season (early October), the water slides were closed, which was disappointing to our child. Other than that, everything else was fine.

Terrible Experience. I was given a room with broken furniture . I was changed to a different room and the beds was not made. I will never stay here again. Not worth the money that they charge..........

We were extremely tired when we arrived to check-in, only to become frustrated when turned away by the front desk. This room was advertised without explaining you must checkin elsewhere and return elsewhere, to check out--we made the call do discover this nine minutes before they were closing and we were not less than nine minutes away. The second blind curve thrown at us was that the price paid when booking the room was not all there was; a linen and cleaning charge was required. I really wish this would have been advertised--felt a little cheated, or tricked.

We were there for 4 nights and 5 days, our room was cleaned once the entire visit. I had to go to the front desk and ask for towels/wash cloths. Our trash was over flowing because no one came to empty it. The towels we were given were dirty.

Clean, good location, affordable price. If you are on a budget and just want a quick escape to the beach, this might be the place for you. I stayed in Type A unit. They have refrigerator, microwave, stove, coffee maker and dishes. Although, I only used the ref, I can see the rest to be useful if I would've stayed longer. I only stayed for 2 nights. The downside is the across the road parking. But I guess you cannot have it all for the price.

New new new! New rooms are amazing. A little nosey because some rooms are still getting the works. Carpet in hallways are filthy but I guess they'll be changed too.

Quickly, 1) hotel parking is off site. 2) No in room coffee, unless you bring your own. They do have coffee maker in room. 3) The room was kinda small and bedroom was always dark. 4) If you smoke the hotel is completely non-smoking and 250.00 fee for smoking in or on balcony. 4) Checkin is 4pm and check out is 11am. They hand you hotel handout explaining there is no late check out allowed. 5) Hotel outside is new, but rooms were worn.

Overall stay was really great at the Sea Dip. The ladies at the front desk was always willing to help if anything was wrong. Would definitely come back again to the Sea Dip.
