A wonderful family time”
My daughters and I really enjoyed our stay at Olhuveli. Beautiful new and modern overwater villas, great bed and spacious room and bathroom. Wonderful service by very helpful and friendly staff. Love our stay here. Would certainly recommend Olhuveli
Beautiful place, wonderful people”
Our stay was well taken care by the friendly and courteous staff, especially by Aisham who checked us in. The overwater villas were so pristine clean, with very nice view from the room. Buffet food is abundant and with a lot of choice to choose from. Improvements can be made on: - frequency of buggy should be every 20 minutes instead of every 30’ - reservation of restaurants (quite a hassle to change the time)
Amazing place ”
- Very friendly and helpful staff, specially thanks to reception and buggy staff who help us much on our stay with my 80 years old mom. - amazing place, so beautiful beaches, must play snorkeling at diving center you can see a amazing under water life with corals reef and fish, even I seen an octopus with it’s big eye looks at me - the grand water villa very beautiful and large was clear 2 time a day or any time you request. They have 2 area, one is old with more big tree umbrage, other is new build less umbrage but it’s gave an different very nine beach view - Transfer speedboat taken 45’ from airport to resort, if lucky you can see flying fish flies on the sea - Foods ( is only an negative point with me) difference ours taste, for dinner only sunset restaurant service, other restaurant must be place reserved, we placed dinner reserved in thaid’s foods at “four spice restaurant” but they said full order. I think it’s better if service all their restaurants for 24/24
Beautiful beaches ”
I had visited this place as a couple amd opted sunset jacuzzi water villa. This place is highly recommended for a couple who love beach and fish Pros. Very helpful and greety staff and great hospitality offered by them Wonderful beaches Romantic places in the resort Food was good there were many things to eat Drinking water is free in the room (not mineral water) as this matters in maldives a mineral water will cost you 2 usd Cons. Being vegetarian had a lesser food option though food quality was good. For indian place is costly. Those who drinks kindly go all inclusive other wise you end up in paying more. Those who are couple can go half board. And those with children can go full board.
Stunning water villa, and exceptional hospitality from one staff member”
We were delighted with the unique experience of staying in an overwater villa, it truly is like staying over an aquarium, everything from harmless black tip sharks to stingrays, and multitudes of species of fish. We had transferred as planned from a deluxe villa to a jacuzzi water villa, for the 2nd of 2 nights on the island, to raise the luxury and look after the budget. The transfer was seamless, and we relished a whole day lazing by the dhoni bar pool. The highlight was the exceptional customer service extended to us by Ibrahim at the 4 Spices restaurant, apart from being the nicest guy you will ever meet, he is very good at his job, and made us feel very special. We hope his talent takes him far in the industry. Dinner at the 4 spices was awesome, and is a great place for breakfast too, even if just on BB like us. Very happy with our second day/night on the island, and will never forget!
I love this resort! The staff are all nice, helpful and friendly. The water villa that we got is awesome. The sunset side beach is nice. The coral reef is good, we had fun snorkeling in the area. The food is delicious. we keep on coming back for the pizza every snack time.
Relaxing resort in maldives.”
Pros - the watervillas are great. The food are delicious (the pad thai is legit). The reef is nice, I enjoyed snorkeling very much. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. Cons - Internet not that fast. Food are expensive (well most maldives resorts' food are expensive).
Can't wait to go back”
Great location. It is far away enough from Male without having to take an expensive flight. However, the $458 USD boat transfer wasn't cheap either, but still better than flying locally. The house reef was phenomenal. While there were around 400 guests staying at the resort it never felt crowded. The layout of the island gives everyone their own space. Having multiple restaurants, bars, pools, activities, swimmable beaches, and lounging spaces really spread people out. The main drawback is how expensive the food is. We didn't do the all inclusive and we asked about adding the buffet dinner and that alone was around $70 per person just for that one meal. The included breakfast was delicious and there were lots of options. The other restaurants were pricey, $25-$70 an entre with fewer options in the lower range. They also have tax plus GST which ends up being around 25% on top of all purchases at the final bill. But all in all, this place was paradise and we can't wait to go back.
Breathtaking & Worth It!!!!”
Amazing and breathtaking resort. Worth every penny! The staff are all amazing and consistent with world-class, excellent customer service! I can’t even see anything wrong with this resort. The overall experience is way better than the photos. Thank you for making our honeymoon memorable!
We had a good hospitality and the property is very clean and very good assistance by the team and we enjoyed a lot. Special thanks to Reena (receptionist) as she had very patience and helping us with guidance.
Beautiful island and nice resorts”
We stayed here for 4D3N(23 May to 26 May) at Sunset jacuzzi water villa with all inclusive. For villa, It was beautiful and awesome view. At night fish were swimming under villa and if you lucky you will see little shark also(We only see on one night) For activities, lucky dolphin sunset cruise was amazing experience for us. We can see a lot of dolphins. For food, The food are delicious also. We try sunset, four spices and lagoon restaurants. For staff, most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, love this resort. Must recommend to go there in May(not crowded and beautiful weather). P.s At night, must go jetty and you will see Manta Rays.
Value for Money”
We've family vacation with 2 kids in the prestige water villa. The villa is fantastic just nearby the Presidential Villa. Highly recommend the all inclusive package that have already included the 4 daily meals (breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner) with unlimited (but selected) drinks in the bars all around the resort. The package also includes 15 min. message, selected water activities and tours. You will have your relax vacation in this resort with the all inclusive package.
Beautiful island and great rooms”
We got what we paid for, a true slice of paradise with lovely Deluxe room and great chill out pool facilities. Only gripe would be failure to tell us to book a restaurant for dinner, which left us with no choice but to eat $65USD per head buffet at Sunset. Food was great but still a bit expensive for a buffet.
Staffs are friendly, room is clean, food is good. We have so much fun.
We stayed here for 3 nights in their water villa. It was awesome. The food was great. The place is wonderful. The only problem we have was the Spa. We tried the Foot Massage hoping to get our feet some love but it was the worst foot massage we have ever experienced. They should call it "Foot Touch" instead of massage because they just touch our feet the whole time. For $300 it was not worth it. But overall, the place is wonderful, the food, the staff, the water aside from the seaweeds. Amazing place.

This is our best trip ever. Water villa is breathtaking, the landscape of resort is really nice, infinity pool, staffs are really enthusiasm and friendly. And we wanna leave compliment for Mr Koyo who is the informative and enthusiasm staff, he took care of us all the time and also the Chinese girl, she is having a probation in this resort but her customer services is awesome. And the most impressive that when we went back to the airport, Koyo and other employees waved their hands to say goodbye us, it makes customers feel respect. We'll be back in one day and also recommend for our friends to stay here
Thank you for sharing this fantastic review. It is a great pleasure to read how much you enjoyed your stay with us and thank you also for mentioning our team members by name and they are very happy to hear that you mentioned their names in particular for their thoughtful service. We hope to see you back at Olhuveli to enjoy another memorable and unforgettable stay, thank you, Management, Olhuveli Beach and Spa Maldives.
Was there for 4 days 3 nights. As usual things in Maldives wasn't cheap. BBQ Lobster buffet was quite a rip off. Lobster wasn't that fresh and was way over cooked. Will not recommend that for travelers, rather try to order individual lobster will be a better choice. The resort have their own reef with a fair amount of marine life. At night, if you are lucky enough, you will be able to spot Manta Rays circling the jetty. The only disappointment i had was the boat timing after checkout. I had to wait 6 hours for the boat ride back to Male. After check out, the treatment given to us was not really that fantastic though. Overall, it was a nice trip and will consider going back there again in the near future.

We just had the best vacay ever! The whole Maldives is just picture perfect, that includes Olhuveli. Though this resort is affordable compared to other resorts in Madives, the moment we arrived at the resort, we already felt the luxury of Maldives and the beauty of Indian Ocean. The staffs are always smiling and greeting us. The water villa is so romantic and perfect for couple. Though the lagoon around the villa is full of seaweeds. It'll be great if they can at least maintain that and clean the seaweeds around the villa so you can swim comfortably around. At night, you can see fishes and big sting ray swimming just below our villa, which is really good and relaxing to watch. The only thing we didn't enjoy much is the Sunset Restaurant. The breakfast is so-so, nothing special to be honest and for the 2 days we ate there, the foods are the same, which is more of Indian foods. We tried buffet lunch in Sunset Restaurant once and the food is also Indian foods. Don't get me wrong, Indian food is great, but we are expecting a wide range and more variety of food in a buffet. The Private Cabana dinner in the Plankton Grill is the best. Their food is of high standard. Great presentation. Delicious food. Lovely staffs! Sorry for the long post. Overall, we really had a great vacation and we'll sure be coming back!
Awesome place and facilities along with awful service.”
For the price I've paid for this resort, it is extremely worth it for the views, the facilities but simply not for the service. I would not give any stars at all for the staffs if not for a extremely small number of staffs who provided good service that's negligible there. If there's a need to pay for service for your staffs, maybe you can put in up in menus too? Before I continue, I would like to thank the small amount of staffs there for their good service, Mr Amjad (who is always having a smile on his face and greeting us), Ms. Angelina (I supposed that's her name because I didn't see it clearly but she's always driving the club car and she was extremely nice to offer us a ride back to our room), there's a really nice waiter at the sunrise bar who's constantly on night shift which I didn't get his name (with reference to spending on 31/03/17 - ref 0057068; he ensures that he greets us every time he sees us and checked if we needed any drinks or food; he was one reason I love going back to Sunrise Bar). In my honest opinions, I think the people from diving school (Sammi) or water sports are nicer than the front desks every single day. I'll start with the good stuffs I really like - the rooms I've booked are extremely beyond satisfaction. Each room is also provided with a good quality life vest. My overwater villa was just AWESOME. Pretty, big, furnishing are classy. The tubs are placed on point and love the view of the sea. The orange slippers are comfortable too. The accessibility to the sea is easy. There's a pretty dressing table and two huge cupboards that we could put our stuffs in. The half semi circle sofa is pretty too, it makes me lost for choices between sleeping on bed or on the sofa. Deluxe room had a good view towards the beach - The deluxe room can be cleaner though - it was very sandy when I went in to the room and there's a bed at the balcony that can be cleaner by brushing off the dirt there. During evening time, there would be two new bottle
"Budget" accommodation at Olhuveli”
We downgraded from the Water Villa to the deluxe rooms on the second half of our trip to get closer to the main facilities of the island. For a third of the price, you get the basic room which still was commendable if not luxurious. Bathroom is kinda dated but, overall, the room was quite good. My suggestion, try what we did and split your stay at a water villa and a deluxe room during your stay.
Free Wi-Fi in all rooms!
