Port Campbell hotels & places to stay

Stayed here for one night while driving the Great Ocean Road. Good value, nice rooms, just around the corner from the main street in Port Campbell. Nice bar with good beer, lots of common seating areas.

Basic facilities but clean and comfortable. Nice and polite landlord. Walking distance to the nearby small town of Port Campbell.

Port Campbell is not really that big, staying anywhere in this township is considered being at a good location. Its only a short 10 mins drive to the 12 apostles (and other 2 cliffs), and also around the same time towards north west to the other cliffs like london bridge (bridge no more), and 2 others. Do pack your own food coz foods in Port Campbell is pricey, even for cbd standard!

Port Campbell is a beautiful coastal town along the Great Ocean Road. It fully warrants being explored and enjoyed and stayed in overnight. What better place to unzip your suitcase and take a break than this wonderful inn. The hostess was wonderful, taking the time to recommend sights and eateries from the viewpoint and appreciation of a local. The accommodation itself was really special. Modern, spacious, neat and nestled between tranquil, manicured gardens. There is even a swimming pool on the premises! Our bed was perfect - fitted with pristine and clean bedding. Attention to detail also found the warm greeting of neatly folded towels and toiletries laid out on the bed. The living area included lounge chairs, a small dining table, a work table, television and a closet. The kitchenette came complete with fridge, cutlery, crockery, microwave and even dishwashing liquid and sponges! The bathroom was large and made one feel right at home.

This much anticipated trip to see the Great Ocean road was planned few months in advance and I had booked this property based on its location and rating. When I arrived around 6pm++ which was already dark due to the shorter day time (winter season), I found out that my top was taken by someone else. Luckily they quickly found me another room for my cranky children to crash for the night. That being said, it was clean.. and within walking distance to many cafes and restaurants. It was full house at that time so I guessed that this property must be popular in Port campbell.

We had a studio style cottage for the 2 of us which was spacious enough for our overnight stay and had a bed, couch, kitchenette, large bathroom and table with chairs. The main part of town is only about 1 kilometre away so fine to walk during the daytime but perhaps a little dangerous at night as there are no street lights & the road is windy. All in all we would stay again

We had a wonderful stay in Loch Ard Motor Inn. The services was great. The staff was very friendly. We love our room, a double story room for 5. It has the basic necessities for travellers . Love the view from the balcony of Port Campbell. The location is so strategic, opposite is the convenient store. All in all, we had a wonderful stay there and wish we could stay longer.

Very satisfying stay in Portside Motel. Arrived after sundown, staff retrieved my Agoda booking without any issues and check-in was almost instant. Room for 3 person (number 5) was good sized. Bathroom was on the small side but manageable. Cooking utensils are in good condition. Beds are comfortable. Parking is ample and free. Definitely recommended for anyone planning to stay in Port Campbell.

we spent one night at the hotel because Port Campbell is only 11Km away from the famous Twelve Apostles.We enjoyed the gorgeous sunset when we arrived at the site.Next day we got to know the beautiful sunrise at this specific oceanic landscape.

I travelled with my sister and parents on this trip along the Great Ocean Road. The split level apartment was the PERFECT setup. Basically two separate living areas connected by a set of stairs. This allowed my sister and I our own space (including separate upstairs toilet and shower, kitchenette, lounge and balcony), but also close enough to the parents downstairs so if they needed anything, we were close by. Noise levels are good. After closing the doors, we couldn't really hear noises from downstairs and slept soundly. Good location. Comfy beds. Staying overnight at Port Campbell gives you the option of visiting GOR's most famous and popular sites outside of peak times to avoid the crowds. Also good photo opportunities to see 12 apostles at sunset/sunrise as they are only a 10min drive away.

The cottage is very close to the Great Ocean Road, less than 5 minutes drive to Port Campbell town and 10 min to the 12 apostles. Fantastic location. The view from the cottage is lovely as it is on high ground and overlooking pastures with dairy cows grazing. The cottage itself is very clean with fully equipped kitchen (except no dishwasher) and every room has some form of heating to keep us warm and cozy in winter, including the bathroom. The owners are very friendly and kind. They have a mini farm of chooks, camels, sheep and cows and brought us for a farm visit in the morning. I loved the farm visit the owner let us get up as close to the animals as possible. He even picked a freshly laid egg out of the nest. Fantastic learning experience for a city person or family with young children. Caution: the field may be muddy. Overall, I would recommend staying here, and I would definitely stay here again if I came by. The owners are extremely friendly

Went to Port Campbell for 3D2N for the 12 Apostles & nearby sightseeing w/ my wife & eldest son..we stayed at the family room of Port-O-Call Motel..it is clean & have a great soaps & shampoo..they alao have a Paraben free dishwashing liquid that smells so good! Port campbell is a small town & so near 12 Apostles..will definitely stay here again nxt year w/ our travel buddies..

amazing views, bathroom newly renovated. quiet & great for star gazing ! coffee tea hot cocoa oil salt pepper all provided. pantry also had an honest basket so you just pay for what you need. host was very responsive :) good stay

Wonderful place for a family getaway! Quiet, homely, scenic and natural. We cooked, played family games walked around in the neighbourhood places and watched stars in the clear sky.. unique and memorable stay. Welcoming host and made us feel comfortable and cozy. Thank you.

this studio room really lovely, huge room space at top floor, great view and down stairs is super market, we had a lovely moments and we will come back again.

We only stayed for a night since we want to make the most out of our 12 Apostles experience. Checked in close to 6pm, booked a deluxe villa. it is one of the newer inns in Port Campbell. Complete amenities, they won't refill after yiu finish the initial stack they provide. No network and slow wi-fi... Please bring insect repellant otherwise you'll wake up with bites!.. has petrol station, overpriced mini grocery and a few food options nearby. I would recommend Crayson's Bistro- value for money steak, burgers and pasta (without the insects lurking)

Seems the owner designed the place for him/her to live there as everything were nicely planned/decorated. The place was very clean and the location is excellent too! Jayde was very helpful to us and followed up on the very minor issue we raised about the wifi. She gave us some local tips too! We are definitely staying here again the next time we are in Port Campbell!

My husband and I did the great ocean road in two days, and stayed here in port Campbell overnight. We arrived early evening after a LONG day in the car and it was exactly what we needed. The staff were incredible - very welcoming, knowledgeable and thought of everything (down to having the fireplace lit for us on arrival which was divine). Very private and super simple booking, check in and check out service. Gave perfect recommendations for places to eat and places to visit the next day on our return trip. Could not recommend this highly enough and will definitely stay again if we are in the area. Could not fault one thing and we have travelled extensively.
