warm welcome home-feeling”
Hotel is approx. 25 years old and they renovate it now step by step. Therefore not everything was as it could be in the future. BUT: the staff works very hard to make you feel at home. Food (breakfast/dinner) not of very high quality, but made and served with love and care. (and clean!). Rooms big and clean and with an astonishing Nile view. 2 pools, very clean, excellent towel service (Mustafa!) at the pool. Lobby staff (especially David) very nice and professional. Sometimes you feel a little bit uncomfortable to know that the staff needs the tips so urgent, as everywhere in Egypt at the moment. Wifi was very good in the lobby, in the rooms not always OK, but they work on that. We wish this hotel all the best to make it a success in the future and we will absolutely come back! Dolly and Wout
Facilities are very old and foods are not OK, stuffs are good but that's not enough to cover the shortcomings.
Very bad, I guess this hotel is broken and about to close. Very disgusting bedding, dirty room and old facilities. Non-smoking room is filled up with smoking smell... Kettle is very dirty and awful. Rather dark lights in the corridor as you feel walking into a "black hotel". Staff there offer almost nothing, unfriendly and even cold. Breakfast is very poor.
Great location on the Nile”
Great pool. Close to everything. Feluca was organized by just walking a few steps to the Nile.
This place is struggling. The facilities are thus a bit behind. The staff are good. ”
Even though there is a visa card device turned on, I was told it doesn't work. So I had to go to the bank to pay in cash. I won't say my thoughts on why... The grounds do have the best placed coffee and shisha in Luxor in my opinion. Right on the Nile. There are no others like it in Luxor and if you're staying in the area it's worth going for. It fills with locals so you know it's good.
bad front desk staff, not helpful.english also so bad. shower water very cold”
bad front desk staff, not helpful, shower water very cold
Staff was friendly and helpful.Big room with a view of the pool. Only thing is the hotel is abit too old, the gym was full of dust and the water at the pool wasnt that clean. restaturants were closed and the place is kinda spooky at night.
avoid at all cost”
worst hotel I have ever stayed. Balcony covered with bird poop and un cleaned. we have to wipe it up to actually sit and enjoy the nile. facilities are up to date, tv has week signal looks like from 80's. last day, when we check out we ask to keep our luggage and they just left it by the door! I am a backpacker and I am more than happy when ever I treat myself staying at hotel even it is not a 5 star hotel. but customer service is below guest house standard.
Mamager could not find out my booking”
Manager could not find my booking although I bring my booking confirmation copy. After long waiting I paid accomodation fee by cash. 1week later I recerived notice camcellation charge by e-mail. (w billing). I never stay such a irresponsible hotel., every customer please take care!
Old hotel but still five star”
Nice staff, empty hotel due to low tourists in Egypt. Clean, free upgrade. Good view of the Nile River which is right next to it. Decent breakfast. There is Hassan Max Taxi Driver right in front of the hotel entrance. He is very honest and good price. Recommended.
Looks better then it is!”
terrible. Room was dated and in need of serious renovations. A/C never worked. Room was extremely hot. It appears to have ONCE been a nice resort type hotel. But due to a huge drop in tourism. It has been left without renovations. Everything was old and dated
Great private balcony”
The private balcony with river view was a nice treat. The buffet breakfast was nice and the restaurant staff were very friendly. However, reception staff barely acknowledged guests and made requests feel like inconveniences. The hotel was not able to provide a map of the city/area and tours were overpriced compared to those at neighbouring hotels. Beds were very hard and uncomfortable, but rooms were very clean.
Value for money”
overall ok hotel for money, but for 5 star hotel, old and not very clean or fresh feeling.
relaxing stay in hotel with beautiful grounds”
stayed here at the end of a family adventure holiday wanting a better standard of hotel with pools to relax in and we were not disappointed. great room, clean, decent size with pool view. my daughter spent most of the time in the rooms since she wasn't feeling well and appreciated the amenities including the large widescreen tv and great film channel. fantastic buffet breakfast - all the usual egyptian and continental food plus omelettes and pancakes. pools were wonderful, one heated like a warm bath and one lovely and fresh to escape from the scorching heat. i was told that only about 25% of rooms were full, so we had no problems with getting sun loungers and space. gardens were incredibly well tended - i was up at 5am and the staff were busy sweeping away every stray leaf and polishing every light fitting. the staff were very friendly and helpful. we only tried eating at the italian where my daughter was a bit disappointed with her pizza but since we spend a lot of time in italy, that was bound to happen! the only negative thing was that since we were getting the sleeper train back to cairo we had to pay for a late check-out which was as much as the room cost in the first place, which i thought was a bit excessive. but i suppose with tourist numbers down they try to get every extra bit of money that they can and they had let us check in early so that we could get away from our previous not so nice luxor hotel!
not fabulous and no smile”
so so nothing special
Clean facilities, friendly staff, good location. Would not recommend dining at the other restaurants available on site. Hotel food is okay. Belly dancer provided cheesy night entertainment.
Decent hotel by the nile with large pools”
this is a decent/standard hotel at good rates. close to all the sights around luxor. they have good pools and decent service. food is average. egypt, can't i at least get a break when i'm in my hotel that i paid for? also the taxi drivers outside are major hustlers and liars, don't trust anyone.
poor facilities but cheap”
old-fashioned facilities and poor amenities but cheap
Great location and amenity with reasonable rate”
This hotel locates near the center of ruins of Luxor. It is cozy, surrounding 3 sides with buildings and river side is open providing great view.
Lovely hotel, professional staff, great breakfast”
staff was always friendly, smiling, helpful. Service was very quick whenever we requested anything. Breakfast was wonderful.
