My hubby and I are very happy with the service extended to us. The staff are very friendly and the room is spacious and clean. Well done Queen Victoria Hotel!
Perfect Hotel at the V&A”
Stunning hotel. Great location and awesome staff
Excellent Boutique hotel above the Vicoria Waterfront”
If you want a classy boutique hotel near the bustle of the Victoria Waterfront this hotel is for you. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. It is classy but not pretentious.
Great hotel with good location Lovely big rooms and spacious bathrooms Only complaint was the pool area. Plagued by seagulls in the water and out. Chairs and umbrellas covered with bird mess. This really let this lovely hotel down
Location was superb
Truly amazing hotel and even better staff. We were embraced from the second we stepped on the property and treated like extended family by all of the wonderful staff, a few that were always there for us were Jason, Lynette and Nigel. The facilities are amazing, absolutely beautiful. Right at VA waterfront with everything you could want. Nice secure parking. Super comfortable beds, large bathroom. Great turndown service with a little treat, ranging from a cheese plate to delicious macaroons. The spa was really nice and got a wonderful deep tissue massage. The study was perfect for late night work and calls. Breakfast was delicious and lovely views of the waterfront and table mountain. Never felt unsafe no matter the time of day.
Perfect Cape Town Hotel”
The service level, location and superior rooms set Queen Victoria apart. We could not have been more pleased for our stay in Cape Town after our week long Safari. Highest recommendation
We have a great time stayed this hotels, the location is percfect just in front water from, which we could go anywhere easily. Staff was so friendly and helpful. The rooms was fantastic, we could drink all beverage in the room for free. 2 thumbs up !!!
Queen Victoria Hotel”
We had a Premium Room which was not very clean. There was a problem with the heating which took 24 hours to rectify. Very impersonal place.
Beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. Breakfast is fantastic. Location is fantastic - safe and you can walk 2 minutes and be right in center of waterfront.
Splendid, but a little hard to find”
The QV is a nice place to stay in Cape Town. Its location puts you in the heart of the waterfront area with many things to see and do. My room was spacious, clean and well-organized. The staff was excellent! I particularly enjoyed the piano music in the bar on Saturday night; I only wish the hotel would do that more often.
Very friendly staff always looking to help went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. Even recommended and researched in town activities for us. Highly recommended to stay here!
Great hotel as stayed here 3 times. Disappointed n our small room this time but hey it's stilll a great hotel. Restaurant food is fantastic. Breakfast is good too although more staff needed.
I booked the Hotel to celebrate my wifes 50th birthday. It is in my view a 4 star hotel.”
For the price paid at over R5000 per room per night; i expected a little more.
Great breakfast and location Staff could not have been nicer
We had a great time. The location on waterfront was excellent. The staff all friendly and helpful. Great value for your money.
We enjoyed everything about the QV: location, staff, food.... We paid for a larger room after arrival as we wanted more space and to face Table Mountain. The upgraded room was incredibly spacious and came with a balcony. We were pleased with the upgrade. Breakfast was fantastic. The "cold" buffet was so varied and filling that I initially thought the "hot/menu" items were an additional price. However, even after realizing that the hot/menu items came with the rate, I stuck with the buffet as those items are my preferred breakfast foods. We did not dine in the restaurant outside of breakfast but heard from other guests that it was very good. The staff was quite professional, friendly, thorough, and helpful. (I hope the young fella who played soccer for before having an accident that forced him to stop (can't recall his name) sees this review as he was extremely friendly and always greeted us with a huge genuine smile regardless of the number of times we saw him each day. It was a pleasure chatting with him each day.) I was initially concerned that the fitness center was not within the building and was relieved to see that it was just a short walk across a small parking area. We have no hesitation referring the QV and would definitely consider another stay.
Overall a good experience ”
Only thing is that we were not given a Table Mountain facing view as advertised. I've written in to Agoda separately on this.
Good location but......”
The staff were very friendly but needed direction. Every breakfast was a comedy of errors, eggs benedict with maple syrup sauce as an example. We walked out of our final breakfast , after waiting half an hour for the wrong order. All faults are due to bad management. On showing us our room, the manager described it as a 'lovely quiet room.' On looking out the window there was building works right next to us. The rooms were small and the boutique atmosphere they are trying to create was just bland with grey walls. This place relies on its location, perfect for the Waterfront, priced accordingly but it will go nowhere until the management is sorted out.
