A taste of luxury and history. This hotel boasts of its heritage which was worth every buck you spend. Although on the expensive side, one will definitely experience quiet relaxation while staying in this wonderful hotel. Staff were very hospitable and will definitely attend to your needs. Rooms were spacious with luxurious amenities and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was good but not exceptional.

This is our fourth year of spending time at Raffles and it still takes its place as our favourite place to stay. It is so relaxing as soon as you walk through the entrance and oozes understated luxury. The lobby gives a colonial feel that is echoed throughout with high ceilings, long drapes and beautiful antique statues and decoration. The rooms are comfortable and the elelphant bar is a fabulous place to relax and catch up with friends. Please bring back the draft beer in the mini yard glasses....they are so unique :)

Lovely hotel, very nice breakfast, comfortable room”
Stayed for two nights, staff were excellent. Very nice room overlooking the front. Great swimming pool, nieces touches, keep serving you cool water and fresh fruit in the room. Beautiful bathroom. Would love to come back.

The worst experience I ever had in the hotel. ”
I book Raffles Hotel Le Royal for our president and vice president through Agoda. When I talk to the reception, they were keep telling me that I booked hotel through their website. Also they keep telling me that breakfast is not included. Although I have presented my confirmation sheet from Agoda, they did not believe it. The worst part was that I had to contact Agoda and prove that I booked through Agoda and the breakfast is included. The worst experience I ever had in the hotel.

Beautiful elegant hotel with a nice garden and large pool”
I have liked my room with the large terrace offering a nice view to the garden and the pool. Breakfast was big and tasty and staff was kind and very attentive. Raffles Hotel Le Royal is a true historic and beautiful icon in Phnom Penh.

Colonial heritage hotel ”
Good location, very near to river side where there are many restaurants around. Staffs are mediocre , not too friendly compared to other staffs at other 5 star hotel. Breakfast has many selections but doesn’t really have good taste and the dim sum didn’t look appealing., The hotel rate is quiet high as well. They didn’t replace the amenities in the room. It was my partner’s birthday, hotel gave.a nice birthday cake, we ate 2 slices and the next day after make up room, the cake was left half from the time we left the hotel. Something like this shouldn’t happen in this kind of luxury hotel. The room lacks of storage or table to put stuffs. Anyway, it was a good experience staying at this hotel.

Relaxing escape from the bustle of the city”
Our first time to Phnom Penh, and we really enjoyed our stay at Raffles Hotel Le Royal. Especially traveling with a 21 month old, the staff was very hospitable, genuine, and met our needs. They provided a Fisher-Price toy in our room, had the baby cot all setup, and provided us with a package of all natural baby cleaning products as well! he spa facilities are wonderful, and there are many nooks and crannies to sit and enjoy the beautiful landscaping. The only thing that would make this location better is a play room or kids clubhouse to further entertain the little ones. We hope to return and enjoy an adult getaway one day soon!
Dear Annibelle, We very much appreciate your comments regarding your stay at the Raffles Hotel Le Royal. It is always a pleasure to receive positive feedback. I will share your comments with our team. I am sure that this feedback will serve as an encouragement to all of our staff as we strive to continuously improve the quality of our services. Best in Country!”
Raffles - what to say?!? It's the best hotel in the country... If you have the budget, don't think of anywhere else to stay! Service is excellent. Rooms are very comfortable. Food and Beverage is amazing.
Old world charm ”
Raffles is a beautifully restored heritage hotel that thankfully survived the horrors of the Khmer Rouge. Be sure to enjoy the Friday night Cambodian buffet and sip a Femme Fatale in the Elephant Bar.
This hotel is probably the best hotel I've stayed in in Cambodia. It is beautiful and the staff are just so wonderful. The Swimming pool is amazing. Just 1 thing to note: -The rooms are not properly sound proofed. I can hear chatters from my next door neighbour all night.
Romantic, beautiful and sublime!”
We thoughly enjoyed our five days at Raffles Le Royal. It was the most beautiful, serene and hospitable hotel we have ever stayed in. The attention to detail and the unassuming but kindly manner with which we were treated was simply amazing. The hotel is so beautifully appointed, so comfortable, so quiet and peaceful and it smells so wonderful too! The room we were upgraded to was absolutely stunning. Large and beautifully appointed with lovely artworks, gorgeous furnishings, elegant and roomy bathroom and wonderful carpets, a private balcony and even a coffee machine, plus a wonderful young man who was our butler. Pisteth was so quietly well mannered and anticipated our every need. It was a heavenly experience. The breakfasts, and the buffet dinners were outstanding with amazing choices of fresh imported foods and gorgeous authentic Cambodian dishes. The pool was an aesthetic oasis in the central courtyard. We loved Raffles and the beautiful, professional and kind staff who made this trip so special and meaningful for us. This hotel is truly a heavenly experience. Thank you so much!
Very classic hotel”
I think that it is one of the best hotel in Southeast Asia. It is very classic and historical building. If you visit Phnom Pehn, and even if you don't stay in this hotel, you may need to drop by to take some photos..
Simply the Best!”
Its not cheap, but its worth it! Its simply the best hotel in Phnom Penh. The staff is really the best I have seen. They all knew my name and greeted me most of the time. My shoes were shined and newspaper was always there. They made my reservations and rely took care of everything. We ate in the hotel restaurant and it was really beautiful. Again, if your looking for a cheap budget hotel, this is NOT it. If you don't mind paying for the best, then your at the right place. Its really a beautiful hotel. Would definitely recommend it.
Luxury Hotel, Attention to Details”
Relaxing and enjoyable. I like the location though some may think that it is not so central. Attentive staff and nicely decorated room. Hotel staff was aware that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and they surprised us with cake and champagne, and also a pool facing room. We really appreciated their thoughtful gestures. Areas to improve: Lighting in the room is a little dim and the wifi connection is not very good. Staff really made a lot of effort to make our stay welcoming. Will stay here again if I return to Phnom Penh.
Le Royal is the epitome of luxury. 10/10”
The Raffles name epitomises the very essence of hotel luxury, professionalism, attention to detail and relaxation - in short, perfection. Le Royal Raffles, Phnom Penh, did not disappoint. It wins on every count and I am not normally this gushing in my feedback. What I loved the most was the ambience, the history of the building, the exceptionally trained and down-to-earth attitude of the immaculately dressed staff, and their CONSISTENTLY genuine warm demeanour. It's that consistency that many hotels find hard to achieve. It's part of the furniture at a Raffles hotel. Then there is the history.. Jackie Kennedy's memory is remembered with taste. Raffles at its best! My stay was faultless. The welcome at the door was one of natural, not forced, smiles with the personal touch of actually knowing my name! A touch that was maintained until the day I was driven to the airport. It's that extra touch of class that separates Raffles from the pack of luxury hotels. Add to that the fantastic surprise of returning to my room to find my towels transformed into baby elephants, surrounded by orchids. Thank you to Botum, the on-hand room attendant and towel origami expert. I experienced every area of the hotel - from the exceptional food and service in the fine dining restaurant, cocktails in the Elephant Bar, the history of the Writer's Bar, a swim in the spotlessly clean pool, the best massage I've had in a long time in the hotel spa and the intoxicating ambience of the lobby. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I will be returning, for sure. Ask famed 1970s New York Times war correspondent Elizabeth Becker and you will hear the same.
This must be one of the best hotels in the world.”
Staying at this hotel is a joy...It is very expensive, but one of the hotels where its worth it. The building is beautiful...well maintained and exquisitely decorated. The staff are absolutely fantastic...attentive without being obsequious...I wish I could have stayed longer!
Lovely hotel with best service ever had!”
The hotel is in a great area, the walk to the boulevard is not too long. It is very beautiful and the rooms are spatious. The service is the best I ever had, at the swimming pool they even offered to clean my sunglasses! Very friendly staff.
Amazing and beautiful hotel”
an absolutely fantastic colonial style hotel. from the moment you arrive to when you leave you are treated like a star. the room was lovely and the bed was super comfortable and the room was decorated very tastefully. lots of lovely little touches make it very enjoyable, when they turned my bed down for the night they left a little bedtime story. the pool is fabulous and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. i had a small problem in my room and it was sorted immediately. the concierge were very helpful. the elephant bar was fun and the cocktails are delicious with lots of lovely complimentary snacks.
I think Raffles is the best hotel in Phnom Penh to be reluxed. Staffs at reception, restaurant, bar and spa were very polite and efficient. It was unfortunate that any restaurants or bars were not allowed to serve any alcohol during our stay (the national government prohibited it due to the election). Otherwise, no complaint.
