Kaunas County hotels & places to stay

Nice hotel in the new part of the city, bus stop one way outside the hotel, never a problem to get a taxi. The staff was pleasant and spoke good english.

We stayed in the suite which in itself is nice and big large comfy sofa and bed, the bathroom had a jacuzzi bath but with only a hand held shower head. The weather was hot and had no control over the a/c, added to the fact the the windows in the room did not open made it very stifling and really uncomfortable at night. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and ordered my partner and I several taxis which arrived quickly. We almost had a great stay but it was just bearable due to the heat of the room. The room was cool enough but within 10 minutes of the aircon going of it started to become uncomfortable.

The hotel located next to the bus terminal. Local busy stops is downstairs and it’s easy to go tourist spots by bus. There is also a supermarket next to the hotel and a big shopping mall which is not far away.

The room is very nice with refrigerator, private bathroom and everything you need. Free breakfast at the restaurant is very nice. The location is close to the train station but a bit far from the centre.

Don't rely on the hotel restaurant for food, it is fairly poor quality. The rooms have aircon and a fridge, but neither of them worked. On the plus side, you are located on 10 mins walk to the old town, and about 15 mins to the new town.

The hotel was in a good location for restaurants and bars and near shopping and the mall. It was also about a 15 minute walk to Old Town and is also a 15 minute walk from the bus and train station. The room was standard, but the hotel had a really nice gym in the basement and the breakfast was also pretty standard. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They even let us check in a couple of hours early.

Pros: The place is clean, love the common area and the simplistic decorations. Toilets and Bathroom are clean too. Location is near to the bus / train station. Cons: Probably the need to go to another location to pick up the keys first. Lack of signages at the key pick up location, as the hostel uses a different name there.

Highly recommend this unique place, special compliments go to the chef and waiting staff. The only complaint - hotel should seriously reconsider its guests with children swimming pool using policy times, until 15.00 its a joke, check in only starts from 15.00. It must be extended until 18.00 or at least just be flexible about it, and trust that your little guests are as well behaved as older ones. I sincerely hope to see this change in the near future.

We stayed at the Kaunas Hotel three years ago, and our positive impressions from that experience led us to stay there again on our recent visit to Kaunas. We were not disappointed. The facilities are excellent, including a good fitness center and a small pool and sauna. The restaurant has great atmosphere and a good menu. The breakfast buffet is wonderful. We were at the hotel when several high school sports teams were there for an international judo competition. Though nearly every room in the hotel were filled, this had no unfavorable impact on the ability of the staff to provide friendly, helpful service to all of the guests. I highly recommend the hotel.

They have the best location, but if you book in the dorm, they won't offer you the electronic device to have access to the front door. When I checked in (on a Sunday) they offered me a pin number instead of the electronic device (which you would have booked in a room instead of a dorm bed) if I was to return after 10 pm. Of course it would be fine if it worked. However they didn't tell me that they'd change the pin every Monday and their staff on duty left early on Monday night so I had no access to the hostel. There was no # outside the hostel to call for help. I thought I would have stay out all night. I was lucky enough, somebody with an electronic device returned, after waiting for half an hour. I told them what happened next morning and asked if they could treat all guests fairly & the lady on duty apologized and said No because dorm bed guests paid less. To me people pay more for privacy (less beds or twin room) and they should have the equal right into the property.

First arrived, no one is at the reception, so I couldn't get in. There was a sign stuck out at the door saying must ring the local Lithuanian number - are you kidding? I stay in hostel to save cost and you ask me to ring international number to get in? I walked to the police station not far away to ask where public telephones are, they kindly helped me ring the hotel number at their expense. They had to try twice until someone answer. So by the time I got back someone was there. Then I was told the room wasn't paid, so they punched in some number I don't know on their credit card machine. I was under impression they were charging me for the night. Anyway, after I could access the internet I found out I already paid. I emailed them they said they didn't charge me but instead they were charging Agoda. Who knows I guess I will have to check my cc statement again in few days time. Toilet light would just go off when you are taking a dump. I mean can't you just have a normal light?

I love the convenience of this hotel for my needs. The flaky croissants for breakfast amongst such an excellent choice of hot or cold food is wonderful. Those flaky croissants are to die for and the creme patisseries croissants are out of this world. (Thank you so much for putting some in my breakfast pack up 🤗) xx

It was quite comfy and automatically check in, which means you could arrive at any times I suppose. The two beds rooms was equipped with everything you might need, even a toaster. We thought the yellow blankets were all we had so we got freezing cold but it turned out that the duvets were right underneath(which we thought were the sheets) so make sure you don’t make the same mistake lol

What was initially supposed to be a 2 night stay, turned into being a full week stay. I couldn't point out any significant flaws with this place. Friendly people, Friendly staff and right in the heart of Kaunas' new town. The receptionist Paul was so nice. He cooks occasionally and served me one of his signature dishes when I first walked in exhausted. Highly recommend this place

I stay in this guest house many times.Its very convinient if you travel in the morning from Kaunas airport.

This place was lovely, the food was great and the room was very unique and distinctive. I have the impression that this place has a lot of repeat business from locals, both for the restaurant and for the hotel. There is definitely the feeling of connectedness to the clientele, and a strong service philosophy ensures that the ambience of the stay is much better than what you find when management is hired help (very friendly, but not intrusive). It is on a busyish road, and in some ways the surrounding locale is not so remarkable, however, for our purposes (a good place to stay while exploring the area) it was fantastic. I would certainly like to return here and would highly recommend.

great hotel -a converted printworks from the soviet era now a smart modern hotel...nice big rooms and balcony....secure car park-fantastic buffet breakfast,the best ive had in years-reccomended

Very satisfied with the hotel. A good place with a panoramic view of Old Town. Noor quiet hotel is situated in the center of Kaunas. Tastefully furnished rooms have a kitchen with dishes and utensils. Satellite TV. There is a terrace with a place to rest. Alongside the free parking. Hotel is very suitable for families. All I recommend this hotel.

it was great to stayed in alpetri apartment. owner sent us an email one day before we check in and telling us how the driving routes to get in there.she is very friendly and giving us recommendation where to eat and where to shop. the room are very clean and tidy with colorful decoration. And it was located in the city center.Shopping area and supermarket is just near by.

The apartment is very close to the main street and about 15 maybe 20 minutes walking to the old town. The apartment was really huge, and inside you can find everything what you need.

To be honest that was a shocking experience which had never happened to me ever before! No any signs ever neither on the road nor on a private house which supposed to be hotel. Road is over muddy when rain. A very unhelpful lady-owner who meets and treats you with great disrespect as you own her all your life. I have stayed for only one reason my kids were extremely tired after days of car travel. We were met with dirty dishes, hair on the shower floor, leaking toilet, problems with ventilation, no possibility to adjust heating, a noisy building site just over the fence and no sufficient space for a larger car parking . At the time of arrival owner was drunk and very angry. We stayed only because my little children were extremely tired after some days of travel. Would never ever recommend to anyone. Arrival and departure were horrible.
