Minnesota hotels & places to stay

A super great place to stay. We had friends that stayed in other hotels in the area and paid more for their rooms and they were small and had no pool or shuttle. We were happy with everything. The room was spacious, enjoyed the cookies at 10pm, utilized the shuttle services and they were very pleasant. The restaurant food was great and priced reasonable. There was a pool and hot tub available. The hotel was close to the rail station. We even extended our stay with the hotel. Staff everywhere in the hotel were pleasant, friendly and helpful. They had maps of the areas and told us of places to go. Highly recommend it.

Older hotel but well maintained and clean. The A/C unit in my room did not work but that may have been shut down for the Minnesota winter. My only complaint is that the mattress was just awful. No padding and very firm. had I stayed more than one night I would have requested a different bed or an air bed. The location did outweigh the discomfort as the Kahler is litterally across the street from the Mayo Clinic Gonna building.

Had to drive around the block a few times to locate hotel as the Marquette signage is not large enough to see off the street when traveling in an unfamiliar territory.... Staff is very friendly and professional. The view was beautiful. I would difeniately stay there agan. Parking area could be attached to hotel instead of having to drive to parking area.

This hotel is very nice for patients with appointments at the May Clinic in Rochester, MN. The rooms are nice, complimentary breakfast is adequate, and the location can't be beat! It is right across the street from most of the Mayo Campus. In case of bad weather (Minnesota winters), the hotel is joined to the clinic and many downtown businesses by pedestrian subway tunnels. You can leave your car in the parking garage and walk everywhere. Convenient at a time when you don't need added stress!

Great stay, terrific staff who greated warmly and worked around my need for a quiet room. Much appreciated. Hot tub was a treat along with yummy food at Morgans. Easy access to major roads. Will stay again!

Every time I stay at this hotel I always enjoy my stay. Staff are super friendly, Love the new Updated on the hotel. It total beats Best Western. Love love love the updated n upgrades on everything. Always refer family n friends n strangers to this Liv-inn Hotel. Hands down bestests place I've stayed at ever for any reason. Can't wait for my next stay soon.

We stayed for one night on January 1st. From what I ascertained from the front desk staff, the hotel had been fully booked the night before. We arrived before check-in time and while we were waiting for our room to be ready, we looked around. The pool area is great--huge pool, fountain, slide, big hot tub--a really great pool for a hotel for sure!! However, I was astonished at the amount of trash that was strewn about. Obviously many of the travelers from the night before left the place a mess (shame on you! Seriously, how hard is it to clean up after yourself?? ) but by 3pm, ,you'd think the staff would have had time to clean the place. It would have taken less than an hour for a staff person to go through and area and throw away the soda cans, food wrappers, etc that had been left by trashy guests. While I understand it was "all hands on deck" to get the rooms ready, they hotel needs to plan for this and assign someone this task. But overall, a great place and nice rooms.

Its is a very cool hotel being built in an old train building. That's about it though. The pool had children in the whole time which is not a big deal because I did not plan to use the pool. But my room faces the pool and had a window to it. So get ready to be awake right when that pool opens in the morning. And also hear people the whole day. When the pool closes people are still allowed to be in the pool area as well and you can hear them too. When I finally got to sleep I woke up a few hours later in a sweat and found out the thermostat was broken and the room would remain 75-80 degrees the rest of the night. Also the window mentioned earlier does not open. Finally after little sleep I went to check out the free breakfast at 8:15am. All that was left was toast and cereal. Everything else was gone. 8:15am is not late. Best Western Plus an uncomfortable stay.

I had my sons and little cousins birthday party there . I have not had any bad experiences at the Apache hotel. Till the day of the party . The rooms weren’t what we expected we called in advance to hVe the rooms close together and they over booked the rooms There was no water in our room . The ac didn’t work . No towels , There was a pedophile at the swimming area were one of our guest child was gettin touched . We caught the man before he can do anything worse We called the cops and they arrested the man. I hope something can be done for this . I love this hotel but didn’t expect this .

Incredible location quaintly nestled off the beaten path. Wonderful service, great rooms. Very comfortable, clean, and relaxing. Already had booked a room a few months ago and tried them a second time this past week. This is my go to place now when traveling.

Staff ok and helpful. Parking is poor. The area around the building should be kept only for guests. It is poor service to need to park nearly a block away in the parking lot especially when it snows. Housekeeping is inconsistent. During our last two stays, we had at least one time when housekeeping wasn't complete. The bed was poorly made and towels placedon the floor were not changed or replaced.

Hotel is in a good location and rooms are good size . But we were given our 3 rooms on 6th floor which has doors opening to the indoor pool due to which it was noisy ( pool was open till past midnight) and also we had to have our window curtain closed at al times for privacy which made room feel very dingy. Towels in bathroom didn't feel fresh and toiletries were not refreshed each day even though some were used up... Will not recommend 6th floor rooms. 's walking distance to many attractions .which can be accessed by walk or in 20 -30 min drive . Breakfast could be better . Staff were friendly at front desk and at breakfast room . But in spite of us booking room with breakfast , we were charged for breakfast ( it was corrected at check out) . Also hotel charges parking 24$ per night even though during booking it said free.

We didn’t actually get to stay there. I called at 3 pm to confirm the reservation for one night but when we arrived at 10pm from the train, we were told that the hotel was overbooked and arrangements were made for us to stay in another town. It was upsetting to say the least but the manager was very accommodating and worked with us to meet our needs. We were well taken care of (courtesy of DoubleTree) although it involved a change in our plans. I can not recommend the hotel because we did not actually get to stay there. I only saw the lobby.

This was one of the best hotels we stayed at in our trip. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The room was perfect. The breakfast was delicious. And the location was awesome for us. Would definately stay there again and at another Ramada.

The service was phenomenal, the rooms were extra clean, there was always coffee downstairs and free games, pool and massage chairs! It was also super close to the event I went to! (5 minutes) along with nearby stores. Perfect!! Best hotel I've ever stayed at

First time staying at LivINN Hotel and wasn't sure what to expect. I was very impressed with LivINN starting with the staff's professional courtesy, to the Hotel room spaciousness, comfort, and quietness, and finally the amenities and excellent breakfast lounge and range of foods, and Free internet (non-interruption) Service. I would describe this Hotel as Motel 6 pricing with Marriott Rooms and Service quality. I hopefully will find LivINN on a future trip again.

Easy check in and parking. The room was spacious, clean, modern. Staff was friendly. Only downside was breakfast was not included, and cost $16 (you can have an amazing breakfast elsewhere for the same price). Didn't use the gym so can't comment on that. Overall enjoyed our stay!

we had great service, the pool was nice, the breakfast was very good and the staff kept everything filled. it was a Saturday morning and the place was packed but they did an excellent job. I asked for a late check out and the staff was happy to to approve it. he didnt hesitate but right away said yes! the staff was exceptional from check in to check out and the hotel was very clean. the fitness center was not bad for a hotel except the treadmill was very wobbly.

It was located at strategic location that make me easier to go to both cities (twin cities) and around minnesota campus. Only few steps to stadium village train line.

I had prepaid through Agoda. comThe hotel staff had no record of this. Two of the three staff members I dealt with were less than sympathetic or helpful to solve the problem. In addition my shower set off a smoke alarm each time, and they did not get around to solving the problem during my stay.

Is this the swankiest motel in the metro? No, of course not. But it gets the job done--a pleasant night of sleep in a comfortable bed. Plus, the rooms are enormous if you like large rooms. Bottom line, they've done the best they could do with an aging physical structure. My one complaint is that there was no reading light over the bed.

I thought that everything was very good I hope that if I need to stay again that I can get a room there again. Breakfast and coffee were very good.

FRIENDLY HELPFUL STAFF. CLEAN COMFORTABLE ROOM. GREAT HOT BREAKFAST, LOTS OF CHOICES. SHUTTLE SERVICE TO AIRPORT AND MALL EXCELLENT SERVICE. WOULD RECOMMEND AND BOOK AGAIN

This hotel has been lovingly restored with appropriately eclectic furniture and excellent soundproofing. Our only problem was with the service in the Veranda restaurant. The server was charming and the manager even came over to chat with us, but we waited close to half an hour for a basic eggs-and-hashbrowns breakfast. This was the first time we stayed in the hotel, but we have eaten at the Veranda before and had similar experiences.

Value for money. Got Complementary Breakfast and Wifi. Got Snacks on the day one complementary. Checked-in at 12 midnight. Hotel personal was kind enough to ensure I got food and offered free coffee / drinks / fruits. Would come back to Best Western again next time when I travel.

Staff was excellent, both personable and very helpful. At only a block and a half from Target Center and the concert we were attending, the location is perfect.
