This hotel gives good value for your money. The room was spaceous and nice, the bathroom was very 70-ish, but everything was clean and in working order, so no worries. The rest of the room was obviously refurbished not very long ago. We had a room on the 8th floor with a nice view over the central parts of Kiel. Nice breakfast buffet as well. Very friendly and positive staff. No need to look any further if you need a place to sleep in Kiel.

Easy booking, friendly staff, paid 12 euros extra and got room with balcony and sea views, good food in restaurant, quiet surroundings, good parking, near ferry terminal.

Very Good Location, Near by Parking House at Hotel Rate of 7 EUR/Day. Breakfast average only. Like typically dull bread offering and the usual not quite freshly cooked scrambled eggs and same apply to soft boiled eggs, having been on display too long.. This kind standard is found at many hotels. The Best thing about the Hotel is surely the location and convenient parking.

We had issues with getting information from reception with regards to travel to Wacken. When we complained, they lost the ability to understand English

Great location right on the beach. hotel had everything you needed, they also had the baby bed waiting for us, with extra towels, a little toy and baby shampoo/wash lotion. Very helpful staff at check in. Breakfast was delicous and had everything you could want. Perfect that you can walk straight from your hotel room into the Ostsee Therme for a swim, spa or sauna. We will be back again !!!

Nice Hotel with friendly receptionist, which is the most important of course. Clean nothing else more to say or to write about it. We’ll coming back for sure.... Thanks for making us feel comfortable 👍🏻

The hotel staff were very friendly. It was wonderful that there was tea and coffee in the lobby, but I thought that our room came with breakfast; when I found out that it didn't I felt that the price for breakfast was a bit too much: 13-some Euros. Also strongly recommended: softer toilet paper!! Otherwise, everything was great - thanks!

We stayed one night only, short trip to the beach. The hotel needs some serious renovations to the decor, but everything was clean and comfy. Parking on site. Pool is great. Breakfast was good. Location is the best part of the hotel. Gorgeous beach views to eat breakfast too.

we celebrated a special day. barstaff and band were very sweet to us. the restaurant, just beautiful as ever, great breakfast. everything just comfortable and very charming.

Stayed here for two nights. Bit outside the city but well connected by bus and close to the University. Breakfast had to be booked separately but it is definitely worth it! Staff were super nice and helpful. Only little disadvantage is that there is no elevator. Hotel only has two or three floors, so it's not too bad to carry suitcases up. Would definitely recommend it!

We arrived in the late morning at this hotel and expected to wait until our room could be designated. Yet we were immediately allowed in, and special care was taken, to accommodate the needs of our handicapped son. Parking space at the hotel was somewhat limited, but the owner went out of his way to always park at the hotel. Breakfast hours are flexible, to accommodate the needs of individual guests, and our overall impression of this family-operated, boutique-type hotel was very positive, so that we can cheerfully recommend it to others.

Although the hotel is not directly on the beach, in our experience it is probably the best in the resort to enjoy this place. The views from the windows are nice on every side even if they don’t face the sea. If the weather is good, and it makes sense to go to the beach, it is easy to reach it. In bad weather we used the indoor swimming pool, which is quite big and clean. Breakfast that was included in the price was excellent. There is even a bike hire right in the hotel. The hotel staff are very friendly and welcoming. We stayed just one night but the feeling is as if we have spent several nice days.

Very nice pool and saunas! Also nice breakfast! The staff in spa wasent helpful and couldnt Speak English. The Room had No refridgerator.

In this day and age, in a business hotel, there is no excuse for pitifully poor Internet speeds. They claim the hotel was full, which is why it was slow. But it logs you out overnight, and I was up at 4 AM. There would have been very few others logged on at that time. It was still just as slow. (200 kb/s download). So I believe that they are intentionally throttling the speed so that you will pay to upgrade. I couldn't reliably sync to Dropbox, Onedrive etc. I had to tether my phone and use that. The rooms were very hot and we had to sleep with the windows wide open allowing in the street noise and insects

This hotel has good location and free parking. It was clean and staff was friend. But the room for 3 persons was smaller than expexted and has no frdge nor in-room safe. Breakfast costs €17 each and is expensive.

I have stayed here before on my own, and loved it as it is right in the centre yet quiet. I like the somewhat quirkiness of the rooms, and the breakfast buffet offers a great choice. Staff are friendly, and it's all uncomplicated and friendly; will definitely stay here again.

The hotel is situated in beautiful surroundings but not much more positive to say about it. We had a double room booked and the room we got was very small and only prepared for a single person. The bed itself was a three-quarter bed and we had to ask for more bedding and towels etc and got them begrudgingly. The dinner on offer that night was grilled fish, no other choices. Breakfast was fairly basic. The end result is we will not be returning there.

When I arrived late at night, I was told that fortunately they had a room that night but the 2 night booking from Agoda was screwed-up. So I had to find another hotel the next day! This is just unacceptable... Either the hotel or Agoda must do something about this. Very professional...

Clean, good parking and easy to walk our dog. Struggled trying to get internet connection and did not achieve it even after speaking with reception. The restaurant is not connected to the hotel and would NOT recommend it.

The hotel is located stone-throw away from the train station. Many buses are available making travelling from point A to point B an easy task. Taxis are available and booking can be done via the frontdesk. I'm really grateful to the frontdesk staff as assistance was rendered whenever I needed. Room is clean and equipped with an electrical kettle; tea bags and coffee sticks are replenished daily. The buffet styled breakfast is available from 6am till 11am. A very good breakfast for hotel guests.

location was good bed was comfortable but stuck up against a wall and had to climb onto the bed to get into it and out there was no tea and coffee facilities but it was clean but disappointing that we had to go up three flights of stairs when we had asked for a low floor for health reasons bad hips and bad knees and it was a trek up and down every day which was hard for us it is ok if you are staying for one night but not for a week wouldn't choose this hotel again

It is not in the city center, but the city is small and you can be there in 10 minutes, on foot.It is a HI, so if you are older than 27, you will pay an extra fee (4.5 e) and if you are not a member of HI, you will also pay 3.5 e as a fee. It is full of teenagers, but not exactly the party-people type. The breakfast is included and is very good. Linens are included in the price. Helpful staff.Big terrace and many common areas for different activities.

Hello. We had a wonderful vacation in Kiel and the hotel location is superb , near the canal and the train station . Despite a missing safe in the room , the hotel staff was very polite and nice . We receive a helpfull hints to visit Kiel , and all our questions was profesionaly answered . If we visit Kiel in the futuer , we will book your hotel as our first choice. Thank you. Ronen

We spent one night At the Hotel Köenigstein and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. The room was large and clean and the breakfast was more than adequate. Five minutes drive from Citti Markt and just ten minutes from the ferry to Gothenburg. Extra plus for the private off road parking

The room was good value for the price but unfortunately the hotel is adjacent to a conference/meeting venue. On the night of our stay there was a religious meeting that ran to 11.30pm and then the people stayed around outside the hall till after 2pm so we had a very poor sleep. This meant we had a very bad experience. Anyone staying at the hotel should make sure there is no one using the conference centre the night they intend to stay.

The place was a bit difficult to find by car, but the people were friendly and it was a very nice hotel. The room was spacious, nice and clean.
