Room, Service, Dining Very good, room was clean and comfortable and staff was helpful. Just that if you wanna access the internet for free you will have to register JW Marriot membership. Besides, the food in the Yangtze Bakery is good.

Superb Location and Near Domestic Airport”

Friendly Good Hotel. Value for Money

I like my stay at the Renaissance Yangtze Shanghai Hotel due to its location near to the HongQiao Airport, just a perfect transit point if you plan day trip to other destination and back to shanghai to stay for the night only 15mins away. However, if you are intended to stay for your holidays. Do think twice as getting to all the hot spots from the hotel are rather a problematic issue due to unpredicted traffic conditions.

      Good location in Puxi”

      Good location

I was given a corner room, and I liked the layout. Toilet was a little cramped, but functional. Had dinner at the steak restaurant with business partners, there were only 3 tables in total but the whole dinner took us close to 3 hours to complete as there was only 1 chef that night.

      Great location and good service”

      Very near to train station

It was my first time in shanghai and i think this hotel is very helpful to those travellers like me. It is very near to the Metro, I think its Yili rd. station, and from there you can go to some places in Shanghai via train. Rooms are just right and bathrooms are also clean. Internet connection is also fast. Staffs are helpful and all speaks english well. Food also taste great with lots to choose from. This is also near Honqiao Airport. I will stay here if I am to visit Shanghai again. I also recommend this to my friends.

Great service but rooms need renovation”

The hotel service is excellent. The Japanese restaurent serve good set meal.

Originally had intended to stay at the Sheraton Hotel next to Renaissance Yangtze but normal rooms at Sheraton Hotel had been fully booked. Had to settle for the Renaissance Yangtze due to it's close location to Intex Shanghai where my conference will be held. Initially was disappointed but the service, cleaniness of the room, nice food and etc change my perspective. However, the rooms are definitely due for renovation.

      Club Lounge, Space

We stayed in the Executive Suite and it was fantastiic. The hotel was very professional and very well serviced. I would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Shanghai. The only downside is perhaps the location, but aside from that it's wonderful..

      Great Hotel”

Attention to detail, Clean Rooms, Navigator was extremely helpful, The room had all int plugs.

My stay at this hotel was extremely pleasant and was by far the best Hotel I experienced in China. The staff was friendly and could speak English, the hotel had an amazing atmosphere and vibe, there were many things to do in the hotel and in the immediate area. The area the hotel was situated is in an upmarket area which really improves your out look of the place while staying there. The room was very clean, a little bit small but normal for china. The beds were comfortable and had every international standard plug somewhere in the room. The navigator made sure to always provide you with a return card for the taxi and wrote any place you wanted to go to in Chinese. Very useful.

Cigar bar and Italian restaurant very nice break from busy Shanghai! Rooms clean. Service good.
Breakfast quality needs improvement. Buffet is mediocre.

Stayed at this hotel several times over the last couple years. Clean and well run and enjoy the italian resaurant and Cigar bar. Live entertainment is good. Drink prices very expensive.Breakfast buffet could be improved. Gym is good but could be larger.

      Renaissance Shanghai”

The rooms and the staff were excellent. I was there for business at the Shanghaimart which is less than a 5 minute walk from the hotetl.
The location of the hotel is great for the Shanghaimart, but everything else in town required a long walk to the metro or a taxi to get downtown.

This was my first trip to Shanghai. I chose the Renaissance at the recommendation of my customer as it was close to the Shanghaimart. The concierge staff were outstanding. They helped in everyway imaginable to help resolve several business and personal issues that came up. The hotel is quite a ways from the downtown area and the areas for sight seeing. It's about a 20 minute walk to the metro.

      This could use a Renaissance”

For an international brand/franchise, I had a certain expectation of this hotel chain. Like its cousin in Malaysia, I found this hotel to be disappointing. Upon entering my room, I felt depression come over me. The room looked bare and dingy. The carpet looked like it could use a good scrub, or, better yet, completely replaced. What came as a shock to me was that my room does not come with free wifi. You have to pay separately, I was told. Unless you have a loyalty card, which I happened to have with me. Hence I would say that I did not receive good value for my stay at this hotel, and I did not really feel comfortable nor cheered staying at this hotel.

      The rooms were very comfortable

this hotel is of a good standard. the restaurant food isn't that great considering the prices. the staff are friendly and helpful. the location and surrounding area doesn't really hold much for the tourist but could be very convenient for someone on business. the rooms are comfortable. i had a few problems with the internet both times that i stayed there which required me getting the hotel's it staff in my room to sort things out. the doormen are very helpful and always suggested good places to see and arranged taxis for me.

      Location

Service as expected, fast front desk. Happy to see free internet access. Very good coffee but they should heat up the cups especially in winter time !!! Limited English @ BF staff. Ongoing renovation should have been informed while booking the hotel and not only upon arrival. As long as the price is reasonable this hotel is always an option.
