This hotel was our favourite by far after a two-week trip in Laos. Ronald the manager was incredibly helpful and professional and helped us on numerous occasions with tricky transportation problems. He runs this hotel de charme with such efficiency and positive, calm energy. The staff is so attentive and friendly. The design of the modern duplex rooms is stunning, the space and decor is elegant and colourful, marrying the old existing colonial building with modern design in an effortless manner. The delicious wood fired pizza with a nice (house wine ) French Cabernet Sauvignon was a real treat after 10 days of rice and noodles! The Laotian menu is delicious too. Gardens were gorgeous and you cannot beat watching the sunset and sunrise on their terrace overlooking the Mekong. A fabulous stay!

Trip to Champasak ”
Very stylish hotel by the Mekong. We love it's old french Colonial character. The rooms are very comfortable and nicely decorated. The restaurant serves delicious french and lao food. I love the coffee and desserts. Hanging out in the patio of the restaurant brings once imagination to the past beautiful colonial era.

A little jewel in Laos ”
Every so often you come across.a gem of a hotel that you’ll remember for years to come and this is one of those. Stunning decor, comfortable bed, exquisite spring rolls in the restaurant. We arrived exhausted after two months of travel and left after two days completely rested.

Nice setting… but”
We stayed in a deluxe duplex for 2 nights. The room is very nice, and the whole grounds are new and well maintained. However, it was lacking in certain departments. For the prices charged and the audience this will be targeted at, there are quite a few things missing: 1) breakfast was underwhelming for the prices charged. The pancake was 3 small rectangular pieces that didn’t really taste like a fluffy pancake. No juices available. The small breakfast at $6 was 2 eggs, a small bread bun and some marmelade and butter. 2) the bar looked well stocked and we were excited for a nice gin and tonic. However, they had no tonic. We had to go and buy our own. 3) the restaurant didn’t live up to the hype (note: our views are based on eating desserts). A crème brûlée turned out to be a flan covered in very sweet caramel. The mousse au chocolate had a grainy texture instead of smooth. 4) the level of English of the staff is really lacking. We could not really make our point across regarding the disappointing breakfast, and there was no manager on site with a good level of English. I understand that English-speaking staff is not readily available in Laos in general. But hotel management should invest more in upskilling the language skills of their front line staff. 5) finally, for a 4-star hotel one would expect toiletries to be replenished on a daily basis. For the duration of our stay, this did not happen. I’m sure we could have asked, but on the other hand we should be really. It is a lovely place in a quiet and relaxed part of Laos. But offering just nice accommodation is not sufficient in our opinion. We hope management takes our feedback on board as we really want this place to do better and it was not meant as an attack.

Un établissement propre et un personnel au top. Dommage qu on ne nous ait pas prévenus que seules les serviettes de toilette posées par terre étaient changées ! D autre part il nous a semblé un peu mesquin de vouloir nous facturé une 2ème tasse de café au petit-déjeuner.

Une adresse à conseiller pour un excellent séjour...je recommande 3 nuits!”
Nous sommes allés à la Résidence Bassac sur les conseils d'amis de Vientiane qui y ont séjourné plusieurs nuits. Nous ne regrettons pas de les avoir écoutés et nous continuerons à faire passer le message car c'est vraiment un superbe découverte, tellement bien...le confort est au top, le service efficace et pas trop pesant, la nourriture du petit déjeuner au dîner excellent. Les enfants se sont régalés de pizzas cuitent au feu de bois et nous avons découvert une cuisine Lao modernisée. Ils organisent aussi des tours et découvertes de la région. Un excellent séjour...

Es gibt nichts, aber auch rein gar nichts auszusetzen! Ich hatte einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt. Ich hatte aber auch das Glück über Agoda ein sehr reduziertes Zimmer zu bekommen. Der reguläre Preis ist angepasst an europäische Preise , was sehr schade ist, denn ich bin mir sicher, dass das Hotel brummen würde, wenn die Preise etwas moderater wären. So hatte ich das Gefühl der einzige Gast zu sein. Ich habe am nächste Tag ein Pärchen getroffen, das die letzten 5 Jahre dort gewohnt hat, als das Hotel noch Inthira hieß und einen anderen Besitzer hatte. Ihnen war es nun leider auch zu teuer. Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen und hat einen wunderschönen Garten. Im Januar 2019 gab es noch keine Zimmer mit Mekongblick. Zusammenfassend: Ich habe mich sehr, sehr wohlgefühlt und unglaublich gut geschlafen. Das Frühstück war göttlich! Wenn man nicht hier schläft sollte man zumindest einmal hier stoppen und essen oder frühstücken. Absolut zu empfehlen, Hotel und Restaurant.

とても良い雰囲気の清潔感のあるホテルです。十分すぎるほど広かったです。バスタブ付きの部屋のはずがない部屋に通され、言って変えてもらいました。お湯の出は問題ありませんが回線が来ておらずテレビは映らないと言われました。ホテルのレストランは朝早くは開かないようなのでチェックアウトの早い場合は食べられないと思います。交通手段が車しかないところなのに帰りの足についてもう少し気遣っていただけるとよかったです。前の日に説明して頼んでおいたのに翌日は気の利かない人に変わりまた説明しなければなりませんでした。ワットプー以外は行くところもないので、口コミのよかった近くのレストランで食事などし、ゆっくりできたのはよかったです。

料金に見合う お部屋の作りと設備です。 夜 タオル交換と ベッドメイキングとアロマキャンドルを炊きに来てくれます。 ですが・・・ピックアップを見事にすっぽかされました。 メールで二度確認したんですが・・・。
