Pool, nature, breakfast, and space energy are all good. If I go to Bali, I will go there again.🌸
Good place to stay”
Good staff and very helpful. Would certainly stay there. Close to Ubud Centre but lacks public transport. Taxi ride is available.
Beautiful place, clean and taken care of
bedsheets had not been changed. no hot water.
Although the RVJ is approx 25 walk from the Ubud town centre, the rooms and garden is beautiful, the staff are very attentive and the breakfast was nice. (Perhaps more bacon and a full sausage would be nice! ) I came with a large group and we had 5 rooms booked. 3 out of the 5 rooms didn’t have consistent hot water and the the air conditioning wasn’t great. We had 2 rooms which didn’t have a problem at all. All in all a lovely stay if you want peace and quiet.
Quiet local spot”
Villa Royal Jepun is tucked away near a quieter part of Ubud, but there are still some good places to eat nearby, especially if you enjoy pork ribs! The staff are helpful and patient, with a decent breakfast served each morning.
Awful Experience!!!! ”
I tried to contact several times the Agoda Contact In Indonesia but without success to cancel my booking at Royal Villa Jepun! We went out for dinner and around 11 pm we enter back to our room. Just the time we were about to sleep we hear somebody snoring so hard, we thought that might be at the next room. But the noise come everytime closer as he was sleeping at the end of the our bed. The room was with two level ceiling and the man was sleeping moving and snoring over the first level ceiling. I went notice the reception staff and they said that they will come to see this problem. I went back to the room and see my wife shaking because the man over the ceiling jump over there and go away doing a bad noise. Nobody from the staff come to the room, I packed my luggage and go to check out at the lobby at 12pm. We risk our lives in midnight and grab a taxi to Seminyak. The owner said that he will refund us but till now I have to any answer.
Good location about 3km from Ubud palace. Lots of vegetarian restaurants nearby. Staff were excellent. It would have been nice to have a mirror in the room rather than outside. Loved the outside bathroom. Room lighting could have been better. Breakfast was excellent.
There was lizards 🦎 Everywhere, dirty pool!”
There was lizards 🦎 in all rooms and we had to pay extra to upgrade to deluxe room which also had lizards in the room and the outdoor bathroom. We was scared to sleep in the rooms and they justify this saying that all hotels in ubud will have this lizards and insects around. The pool was very dirty and useles. We don’t recommend this place even you will just go there to sleep only!
We enjoyed staying at Royal Villa Jepun as it was private and the staff were friendly however the cleaners left our room unlocked everyday. I did speak to one of the cleaners personally but it continued to happen. I also told the person at the desk when we checked out as I was very disappointed by this, he didn't really respond and gave no apology. The bathroom could use some maintenance and a freshen up, paint was pealing. The room was a good size but could be made more comfortable with more furniture and art work.
Tired Old Place; Serious Design Flaws”
Odd place in a good location. My kitchenette's sink had a window looking right into the bed of the room next to mine. Kitchenette was so ill-equipped for actual use, with a metal frying pan and a microwave oven. Mini fridge had not been cleaned. My shower had a huge clear glass skylight which would allow neighbor to look down from 2/F window and see my whole shower/tub. The only wastebasket in the room was in the bathroom and it was an unlined wooden box; no way was I putting a banana peel into that. Pool was okay for a short lap swim but all 6 chairs were occupied so I had no place for a quick dry-off, poolside. Three pluses: mosquito net on my bed, the air con worked, the staff were nice. Location good but so many other accommodation choices nearby.
Close to the yoga barn and monkey forest. The room was pretty clean, ants walk-in around but that seems normal for Bali. Don’t bother getting information about taxi prices or trip bookings through the hotel. We booked a taxi and he told us 50k and the taxi arrived and he said 250k. Overall for how close you can be to the yoga barn it’s worth it but you will be kinda far 20-30 min walk from the art market.
No TV, the lights in the room is poor, and the bathroom facility is poor too
The curtains around andover the bed have never ever been cleaned, they were filthy. Lots of stains on the sheets. And the pool was green of algae, never cleaned! Ataff was okay, not the nicest we had to deal with.
It's not what you expecting to get for this price”
Dirty place, slow and unstable WiFi, not quite (you can hear neighbors talks), rooms not same as photos, no privacy. Terrible place.
Overrated. True rating must be 6”
Room was different from what I've booked on photos. Small bathroom, no rice-field/garden view. Also, room was dirty, WiFi very slow and unstable, no hot water at evening. Sound isolation is terrible! You can hear every word what your neighbors says. Most terrible hotel I've booked in 2017.
Organised through the hotel for a driver to pick us up and was confirmed by an email Arrived at airport and no one to pick us up. Asked every day for a hair dryer and actually waited at the desk for them to get one and they hesitated. Last day one was in the room. Bathroom mouldy and water would stop half way through a shower. Food was ok but wait staff stood there watching eat your meal and would hang around. Been to Bali numerous time and this has never happened. Would not go again nor recommend for the price charged
Really like the night in the garden”
Very good for a relaxing stay. In evening I took a massage and it happen in the garden, with sounds of water flow, crickets, fogs... like in a relaxing sound clip.
nice place but too far from town”
It is quite far from the town area. The villa looks old and the swimming pool didn't maintain in good condition.
Like a beautiful oasis in the desert”
The value for money you get with this accomodation is excellent. You get a lot of space and privacy, a huge bathtub outside (you are protected from the view of others by a big wall around your outside area), a very nice and private inside area secluded from the other guests with a comfy bed, a low table with sitting cushions, a smaller normal table and some sort of couch. If you're looking for a calm area away from the hustle of the main attractions, RVP is a great choice. There are plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from (be it Indonesian, Barbecue, Japanese, etc.), there are small shops like 7-eleven close (under five minutes walking) and a somewhat bigger mall is within walking distance as well (10 to 15 minutes). The location itself is calm and as mentioned before, quite a bit away from attractions like the Monkey Forest. The cleaning was done well enough, we didn't notice any specific mistakes they made, but since part of the accomodation is outside, there will always be some bugs or ants around. We also noticed a nice big gecko who tended to visit us from time to time, but it kept its distance and helped us a bit with the little bugs - win-win! The staff was extremely friendly and was happy to help whenever they could with whatever you asked for. They made suggestions and gave ideas of what to do and understood when you wanted some time for yourself. We were offered a dinner for free on the last evening we got to spend there, which was a very nice gesture. The prepared food was very good as well. While the swimming pool outside is quite big and the whole area is wonderful and tranquil, there are still some things that could be improved, such as the little "kitchenette". We also specifically booked, since it said it had a kitchenette with cooking utensils, but after arriving we discovered those were missing. They organized something for us, so we could still kind of do what we wanted. All in all we greatly enjoyed our stay in RVJ and if we were to go to Ubu
