A bit disappointed”
Its our first time in bali and this is where we stayed first night. We arrived midnight and before that we requested an early check in however i am aware that its way too early so i expected they charge us extra for staying. They put us in deluxe room as no standard room available that night. Spacious room justdidnt like the bathroom features. The towels are stained and old. It looks dirty because its old towel. Next dy we had to call to transfer to the room we booked originally which is standard room. And it took a whilefor them to make it ready. I had a feeling we didnt undersrand each other the first night. We moved to standard room which has much better ambiance than deluxe room. I love the bed and pillow. I love the high ceiling its completely diff ambiance. The room is very clean. Except for the towels. The pool is disappointing its small and a bit dirty i didnt see anybody used that pool. You can rent a bike with them to go around unud area. They have betterquality of bike by the way. Whe we checked out they are trying to charge us 1 deluxe room and standard room which i did not agreed to pay, instead i just paid the half so not to make any drama as we use the room to sleep while we wait for standard room to be available the next morning. Other than that tha staff are very friendly and welcoming which makes pur stay amazing. The hotel may lack features and may not be our favorite but the people/staff is great. A little language barrier but idont care. They are great people. Thank you jepun!

Enjoyable stay.”
We enjoyed staying at Royal Villa Jepun as it was private and the staff were friendly however the cleaners left our room unlocked everyday. I did speak to one of the cleaners personally but it continued to happen. I also told the person at the desk when we checked out as I was very disappointed by this, he didn't really respond and gave no apology. The bathroom could use some maintenance and a freshen up, paint was pealing. The room was a good size but could be made more comfortable with more furniture and art work.

nice little cottage style boutique accommodation”
My unit was a new small cottage facing the swimming pool. There was outdoor sitting bale and restaurant you can hangout if you just wanted to stay in. The location was 25 mins to Payogan, on the way pass Fly Cafe, or close to the two famous bbq warung, close to Mozaic , Indus and Paula Kelapa, also next to Puri Spa, or way down s short walk to Sedona Spa and supermarket. The villa was reasonably priced, clean and comfortable.

Fantastic Paradise”
This was a really great hotel and I love my stay so much. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent too. The only reason this review wasn't 100% was because the water stopped working one evening and was not repaired until the next day. It didn't causes any major problems just a little inconvenience. I would recommend for everyone to stay here. It was the nicest place I have ever stayed and for such a good price!

Quiet local spot”
Villa Royal Jepun is tucked away near a quieter part of Ubud, but there are still some good places to eat nearby, especially if you enjoy pork ribs! The staff are helpful and patient, with a decent breakfast served each morning.

Such a shame...”
We may have had a bad experience or a bad room or something, as most other reviews seem to reflect a much better experience than ours, but we asked to leave after only one night... Check in was typically easy but the room we were placed into was not to our liking... We had booked a executive room (after reviewing the images of these online) but what we found was far less than executive... We were placed in Villa 7 and there was a strong smell of damp in the room and damp on the walls/ceiling in places across the bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. It is fair to say that the villa did not reflect the images we had seen on agoda (and other websites) in both facility and standard. I appreciated we were staying in Ubud and it rains a fair amount but this was beyond what you expect in a hotel/villa, and when it rained during the night water was dripping in within the bathroom/kitchen areas. The next morning we were politely informed that we could move to another room (we were unsure why this was not the room offered to us the night before instead of the wet/mouldy villa?), but we declined this and instead decided to go elsewhere and pay again... Royal Jepun Villa did (with agoda involvement) agree to refund 3 of our 4 nights stay which did help to fund our next booking in central Ubud.

Beautiful stay”
Although the RVJ is approx 25 walk from the Ubud town centre, the rooms and garden is beautiful, the staff are very attentive and the breakfast was nice. (Perhaps more bacon and a full sausage would be nice! ) I came with a large group and we had 5 rooms booked. 3 out of the 5 rooms didn’t have consistent hot water and the the air conditioning wasn’t great. We had 2 rooms which didn’t have a problem at all. All in all a lovely stay if you want peace and quiet.

Amazing place to stay”
The staff here are amazing, so helpful and friendly. The room was kept very clean and the location is good. I have no complaints and I would definitely stay again when I'm in Ubud. Nice breakfast. Great value for money here

amazing place”
booked standart room and was surprised to see it really looked much better than on the photos - high ceiling, large windows from floor to ceiling, amazing bed with curtains and large bathroom with amenities. i got more than I expected and will definitely come back. some say the pool is too small but i find it very great, feels like in a jungle.

good hotel in a great location”
I stayed with my family. Overall score is superb. I really like this hotel. From the cleanliness, facilities, peaceful surroundings, and room layout. Staff were very helpful and friendly. provides us with great service. Air con, hot shower ran good. Only one small thing that needs to be improved. The towel was like aged. Color not white anymore. Maybe the hotel should change it anytime soon. Breakfast was great. Pool seems little bit small. Everything else was good.

Decent room”
Close to the yoga barn and monkey forest. The room was pretty clean, ants walk-in around but that seems normal for Bali. Don’t bother getting information about taxi prices or trip bookings through the hotel. We booked a taxi and he told us 50k and the taxi arrived and he said 250k. Overall for how close you can be to the yoga barn it’s worth it but you will be kinda far 20-30 min walk from the art market.

Ubud break”
Good location about 3km from Ubud palace. Lots of vegetarian restaurants nearby. Staff were excellent. It would have been nice to have a mirror in the room rather than outside. Loved the outside bathroom. Room lighting could have been better. Breakfast was excellent.

Overall good stay for price”
Check-in was a breeze, room was clean & very large, internet was excellent speed. We stayed near the pool in the middle of the resort so our internet connection may have been better than other reviews, unsure where their room was in relation to wifi router. At peak bathing time I did have very slow water pressure when trying to take a bath, that was the downside to my stay here. Sleeping with frog noises was a pleasant change, particularly since there are no TVs to block rice field noise out. Breakfast was blah but it's not like it is a 5 star resort. Plenty of those close by if you want a 5 star breakfast. Good stay for 2 nights.

Outdoor bathroom overrated ”
In hindsight, I wouldn't book the room with the outdoor bathroom. I hadn't thought through the realities of that in Ubud and there were quite a lot of ants. Not the fault of the hotel, but something to think about! Other than that, we had a good stay and would happily stay again

Like a beautiful oasis in the desert”
The value for money you get with this accomodation is excellent. You get a lot of space and privacy, a huge bathtub outside (you are protected from the view of others by a big wall around your outside area), a very nice and private inside area secluded from the other guests with a comfy bed, a low table with sitting cushions, a smaller normal table and some sort of couch. If you're looking for a calm area away from the hustle of the main attractions, RVP is a great choice. There are plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from (be it Indonesian, Barbecue, Japanese, etc.), there are small shops like 7-eleven close (under five minutes walking) and a somewhat bigger mall is within walking distance as well (10 to 15 minutes). The location itself is calm and as mentioned before, quite a bit away from attractions like the Monkey Forest. The cleaning was done well enough, we didn't notice any specific mistakes they made, but since part of the accomodation is outside, there will always be some bugs or ants around. We also noticed a nice big gecko who tended to visit us from time to time, but it kept its distance and helped us a bit with the little bugs - win-win! The staff was extremely friendly and was happy to help whenever they could with whatever you asked for. They made suggestions and gave ideas of what to do and understood when you wanted some time for yourself. We were offered a dinner for free on the last evening we got to spend there, which was a very nice gesture. The prepared food was very good as well. While the swimming pool outside is quite big and the whole area is wonderful and tranquil, there are still some things that could be improved, such as the little "kitchenette". We also specifically booked, since it said it had a kitchenette with cooking utensils, but after arriving we discovered those were missing. They organized something for us, so we could still kind of do what we wanted. All in all we greatly enjoyed our stay in RVJ and if we were to go to Ubu

Excellent”
Nice atmosphere. Very Quite location. Staff very friendly. Only 10 rooms available. Family rooms should be connected from inside. This was a negative for us. Specially when u have kids u need inside access to the second room. Water pressure is the shower heads are bit too low.
