Very pleasant hotel ”
Check was good rooms are quaint and in keeping with the theme Breakfast buffet was okay on the first day Second day was a set format the coffee was terrible staff needs to communicate better in restaurant Rooms clean Swimming pool like a hot bath as weather sooo hot
Cozy heritage hotel”
Cozy heritage hotel, comfortable rooms and very good food in the hotel restaurant. Hotel have a pool and massage place on site. Car park and street to get to the hotel is small, so be prepared to be accurate with your car. Breakfast is a bit limited, but everything was tasty. Overall - great stay, I would come there again.
Rooms nice ,clean.Hot water and air-con working well. Location little bit out of city, about 10-15 min driving to old city and historical park. Breakfast buffet was fine. Next time we will choose to stay here again
STAY HERE! ”
Where to even begin!? The pool is wonderful, the beds are awesome and the room is clean, the staff are FANTASTIC, knowledgeable and friendly-service oriented. The breakfast included is AWESOME. You are only 12 km from the historical sight. I have been to many hotels and this one is down as one of my FAVORITES. Car parking, bars down the street, pool, nice rooms, great people, and all in BEAUTIFUL Sukhothai. Look no further and BOOK! You will not be disappointed in ANY way. THANK YOU for such a nice stay for the two nights we were there.
A very good hotel.”
A small hotel only about 20 rooms situated around a lovely secluded pool area. Food was good, staff very friendly. You can book a Thai massage for 400 but for 1.5 hours, the perfect end to the day. Highly recommended.
A very special memorable place.”
whose sweet smile will melt your heart. Some mosquitos in rooms as keeping an antique mansion authentic doesn't allow for bug screens, but the ambiance and BUNNIES hopping around were unforgettable. Free rides to & from bus station a real plus. You just have to figure out how to call them, or email ahead of time with arrival time.
Classic style hotel in Sukhothai”
Classic style hotel and almost all facilities were made by wood. Easy to find from Sukhothai airport. Good classic atomsphere, but you'll find some mosquitos in the room. Sight seeing will be advised by concierge. This hotel has a taxi service (free of charge for limited near location). Restaurant serves delicious food and breakfast is buffet style. WiFi service is available and internet speed is acceptable. It would be much better if breakfast serves freshly-brewed coffee.
Character with care”
This hotel is situated about 5 to 10 minutes free bicycle ride from the centre of town, it is in a group of beautiful traditional Thai buildings, one of which wraps around a lovely swimming pool courtyard area. The staff were veryrofessional and helpful, and spoke excellent English, breakfast was good too. My room was a downstairs pool view room and was clen, comfortable and stylish, the bathroom was marble.
The hotel is filled with interesting objects and antiques collected by the owner during the past 40 years. Lovely pool. Breakfast was ok. Only downer for us was that the room has only shuttered windows, no glass or screens. Lots of mosquitos, beds have netting around them, even so you cannot leave the shutters open to let in some natural light. We stayed there to take in the Loy Krathon Festival in the Historical Park (hotel will drive you there for 400 baht). No shops or many restaurants in the immediate vicinity. So if you're looking for a quiet place to stay the Ruen Thai is it.
I booked this room for two Thai friends who live in Phrae and had never stayed in a hotel before. They absolutely loved it! Watched sports on the TV when they weren't in the pool. The breakfast was a little too 'western' for them but overall they were happy.
Amazing hotel - provides unique experience of Thai”
Quite an amazing hotel in old Thailand decore that accompanies the incredible temple ruin sites that inhabit the surrounding area. The setting of their pool is so beautiful - very peaceful and refreshing experience for hot days. Highly recommend.
Great, cute place”
I loved the place. The room I had was near the pool, and it was unique enough that I decided to take photos of it, a first on my two month trip. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The only thing bad about my room was that it was next to the pool. Some of the guests didn't observe the pool hours, so my room was loud on some nights.
Great owner, lovely hotel”
If your coming to Sukothai we recomend staying here. The owner picked us up himself at the Bus stop for no additional charge. He also shuttled us over to the right bus to get to the historical park. What a nice and courteous fellow. The hotel was the only we've seen like it in Thailand, set in an old antique stye everthing made from wood, we felt like we'd gone back in time. Also all the rooms were set around the pool which was very nice. The food at the resturaunt was great as well and not expensive. This hotel is well worth a stay. A really beautiful hotel, so quaint and charming wished we stayed longer.
Hotel with personal as well as traditional style!”
We had a comfortable and very enjoyable stay at the Hotel. Used their free bikes on more than one occasion to get round town! Pool area is restful and beautiful ! Service from all staff was faultless! Breakfast varied and tasty! All in all a memorable stay!
Nice hotel located off the main street. The front staffs speak English well with welcoming drinking when check in. Limited choice of breakfast. Was given the ground floor room which was noisy when guests are enjoying themselves by the pool. Clean, small room. Just nice for a couple. Nothing much in the surrounding area but luckily I drove.
Beautiful hotel in traditional thai style”
a very beautiful hotel to stay in if you are into traditional thai style architecture. antiques are littered about the hotel which makes for good photo opportunities. loved the swimming pool in the middle of the hotel. all rooms have doors which opens to the pool. they have placed benches just outside each room so these were great to chill and relax in. hotel staff was friendly and helpful, offering good sightseeing advice and suggestions. they also offer free pickup from the bus station, so call them upon arrival if you need the service. door of hotel room was also in traditional thai style which you secure with a padlock. it seemed relatively safe though. the toilet was a conventional modern toilet, simple but very clean.
i can't say enough about khun virachai and his staff: excellent will have to do. the grounds are beautiful and the attention to detail, from the simple and authentic furnishings and lovely thai architecture to the meticulously manicured garden, shows someone really cares. ruean thai is one of those places i'll return to and recommend to family and friends.
A lovely relaxing location with attentive staff.
The pool was absolutely everything... the staff were amazing and located in a nice area near some bars and was perfect if you had a car!
Our stay at Ruean Thai hotel”
The hotel itself is amazing. The design and architecture is based off an old style traditional thai house. Setting is amazing and the pool welcomed after Long hikes around the ancient palace. The shower water trickles out and lacking pressure so you may need to run around the shower head. If you are in need of the internet this is not a place for you. The internet is shocking logs you out every time you move. On a 24hr stay I reckon I logged in 20times at least. Outside of signs everywhere for the costs of things and the tendency to want all your money don’t let this put you off staying there. The ambience and building are amazing Not forgetting the in house thai massage is cheap and highly recommended
