We originally booked Santhiya for just one night in the Sea View Villa, which included a FREE 1,000 THB resort credit — but we loved it so much that we extended to three nights! We honestly would’ve stayed even longer if our flight schedule allowed it. The villa was stunning, with a perfect mix of comfort and nature. Although it’s not deep in a jungle, the resort feels like a jungle retreat — it’s vast, peaceful, and full of character. You get around using charming wooden shuttle carts, and the entire setting gives off a tropical escape vibe. The staff are hands down the friendliest I’ve ever encountered in all my travels. So warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a genuine smile. The breakfast was absolutely unreal — huge variety, top quality, and to top it off, they offer a free 10-minute Thai neck and shoulder massage during breakfast! We also made use of the free paddleboarding and snorkelling gear, which added to the experience. The spa is breathtaking, perched with panoramic sea views — yes, the prices are slightly higher here for food, drinks, and treatments, but given the remote and exclusive location, it’s understandable. Plus, it still works out cheaper than UK prices. If you want to explore, I found a small path beside the beach that leads to a local village with cool beach bars and high-end hotels — great for a little adventure and change of scenery. The open-air bathroom setup was a bit surreal at first — the toilet and sink are under a roof, but the shower is fully open-air. At night, with the jungle sounds, it’s a bit spooky at first but actually adds to the charm once you get used to it. It’s such a unique and beautiful setting. We paid around £88 per night, and with the free breakfast and 1,000 THB resort credit, it’s incredible value. Yes, meals are a bit pricier here (around £8–12 per dish), but we didn’t mind at all considering the quality and experience. If you’re looking for pure relaxation, privacy, and attentive service, this is the place for you. If you’re more social or adventurous, three nights is the perfect amount of time to soak it all in before moving on. We would 100% return and highly recommend Santhiya to anyone visiting Koh Phangan.
